Just looked through the book and picked up the one it said fitted. Appeared to be the same battery as in a 1.4 nissan almera which I thought was odd seeing as the engine Is over twice the size.

I know nothing about pros and cons of different batteries but I got mine from halfords and it cost £90 ish.

It was a 500ml can from halfords. I had my plenum powder coated, it cost me £60 for the top plenum and the strut brace, was going to paint it but weighed up the cost of paint and it wasn't that much more to powder coat. Think the paint will be fine on the plenum, may be wrong though.

Rough the surface before priming, 4 layers of primer which I lightly sanded with wet and dry. The 3 layers of black paint, let it dry, taper up the areas of the. Design I wanted to stay black, spray with 2 layers of red paint. Light wet and dry and then 2 layers of clear coat. I could have spent a little longer smoothing it but I got it how I wanted it in the end.

Go for it mate, besides It's not my design and I didn't ask the Japanese. Will look nice in blue and white. Make sure you get the tape lined up so it make dealing with the bolt holes easier. Let me know when it's done mate, looking forward to seeing it

You going to ace cafe or the grasshopper meet? I think it's fairly easy to remove and replace, mine has holes aswell from when I previously had the mud guards. Brum is a little too far for me, I'm in east London.

Do it yourself. You've got a garage so make the most of it. My zed would be in pieces by now if I had a garage, just so I could put it all back together. Or I'd have another van probably an Astra and be transplanting a nice calibra turbo or Astra Gsi engine into it.
