I ran a 328 for a year with a mate - no problems with it at all, apart from the indicators falling off. Cost us £850, and then sold for £1000 a year later. an MX5 would be nice, but to be honest they're underpowered, i think you'd get bored of it fairly quick. MR2 Turbo would be rapid and certainly within budget, but heard the handling can be a bit lairy - mid engined layout wouldnt suffer fools driving it. If it was my money i'd buy an S2000 - hard work on the road, but would be sweet having a 9k redline and vtec power on a track. plus no issues with turbo, and legendary honda reliability. although as with the MR2, early ones had a reputation for going backwards, but better suspension and tyres would help a lot. Would a westfield/dax caterham-a-like be too hardcore?

oh yeah, spotted the black nismo, thats a nice car! So question is, how do we get all these cars together? Sounds like theres more than enough for a warwickshire meet! Not yet though. I need to actually get another zed first...

£6k!?! now that is mighty tempting for a car with only 58000 on the clocks! GLWTS!

and while we're on the topic of leamington Zeds, theres a Black Roadster with a private plate (Elisha?) in the next office over from me, and a Silver one i see around as well. Might have to put some cards out!

has the 'zorst been done? if not, thats a no brainer - plenty of options for all budgets!

Seen at just gone 5pm today. Very distinguishable as it had a massive german shepherd dog out the window!

Would t be really be that different to drive? it'd just be the difference between the SWB and LWB ZXs of old, one was 200mm shorter, 100kgs lighter and no rear seats, which would be the 350z, and the other longer, heavier version the G35. Any chance of someone photoshopgrafting a 350z front onto a g35 body? and calling it the 350ZX?

gonna get it on the old download next week when my girlfriend is away - probably not her cup of tea really. Really liked the TG tribute to Senna, so am looking forward to seeing the whole film.

about 2:40 is where it gets good for me - really like the style and cuts after that point (not that before then isnt good as well) Incidentally whats the track?

mmmm its definitely a buyers market... but seriously, id imagine the early 03-05 zeds are probably starting to level out now - the first 6 or 7 years are going to be the worst for depreciation.

cripes £25k is a lot of dough for a 10 year old car! You'd really have to be skyliner to spend that much, even if it is mint!

Niiiiice! would love a chimaera, i dont think theres a better sounding car anywhere!

Just watched 'Love the Beast', a documentary by Eric Bana about his relationship with his Old skool Ford Coupe and his experience taking it on the Targa Tasmania rally. probably give it about a 6/10, but it did raise a lot of interesting points about car enthusiasts relationships with their cars - particularly if you see a car as a machine, or an object with human like qualities which you can have a real relationship with, and also why you stick with a car even when it causes you no end of trouble. Me personally i've never been that attached to a car - i've had 6 in 4 years now, but to be fair i do miss them all for different reasons. My most challenging car was also the most rewarding - my old 300zx which had no end of problems, but looking back, was a truely truely awesome car, which i miss terribly! any one else seen the film and have similar or contrasting views on their zeds? admittedly being a lot newer there shouldnt be too many horror stories, but does anyone else have a real attachement to their car, so much so that they'd never sell it no matter what happened?
-
wow that guy has some moves! first time i watched it i did wonder if the film had been played with, you know, sped up, slowed down, played in reverse etc - would be easy to do with a single take static shot as it is. good spot on the zed - is it just a massive coincidence it made it onto this forum?

nice! that is a lot of car for the money, GLWTS! -
wasnt the top gear clip from the first series that was filmed in HD? I think we'd just got a new TV at that point and it did look phenomenal, really made me want to crank up some trance and just drive for hours!

excusing the graphics, and the inaccurate mpg, its a good idea. I mean come on, if you're unlucky enough to have kids yet you love your zed, you'd try and fit rear seats too. some of the 2+2 coupes out there have terrible rear leg and headroom - but they're still for sale. I say go for it - if you love your zed that much and you have the means to do it, why not? could get another 2-3 years of use out of it before you have to sell it.

invidia gemini true dual? see the other post on here about how it looks when fitted

Awesome! Beats Tanner Foust's Mulholland drive video IMO. -
spose i should have said it would be a V35 Skyline, not a G35... im not old enough for an auto just yet! I spose the V35 is more of a spiritual successor to the 300zx, they were both ore heavyweight 2+2 luxury cruisers rather than sports cars. And it was plenty quick enough even with the extra bulk, 0-60 in less than 6 seconds is fine!

mmmm lovely car at a great price! Still a way away from being able to afford it though. GLWTS

Hi All, I'll be honest, I'm up to 50 posts now and i dont actually have a 350z - my plan was to drive my civic coupe over winter while i save up, then buy a zed to replace my old 300zx in march of next year. However, im becoming tempted by an Infiniti G35 Coupe, as they seem to go for less than 350zs do with similar mileage, and the extra seats would be useful. Plus i like rarity - would be very unlikely ever to see another one as they're all imports. Now, i know they're both built on the same platform, and share the same engine, and both have 6spd manual gearboxes with rwd.... and the differences i can think of is the G35 is some 300mm longer and 90kg heavier, and has smaller wheels as standard, but is there anything else i should be aware of? i only say as something like this looks mighty tempting for the cash... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3222970.htm Has anyone driven both to compare? Can anyone think of anything i'm missing here?

wow thats looking very nice indeed! Going to watch the vids when i get home from work, but loving the white with red wheels and decals, really clean. Im sure you'll get the teething problems fixed and then it will be a beast! Any idea of the power level of the engine? Would like to see the dyno runs if you have any? -
That looks properly the business, loving the true dual! do you have to get it with the crossover pipe, or can you keep it straight at that point? might well have to save up for one of these, was just going to go for a scorpion, but this looks so much nicer!
