Was that round the corner from Dam Square? I'm sure I went there... I can't honestly remember. I've been over there quite a number of times, but my memory for detail is a little hazier than normal from those trips!

I initially thought Plato's overtake in the first race was a bit suspect, but seeing it again from the onboard camera of his car, the gap does open up pretty wide. And as he had so much more speed I'm not surprised he went for it, I think most of the other drivers would have done the same.

There's barely any super in Newcastle. I had to splash and dash a tenner of normal unleaded just to get to work at the fourth petrol station I tried. Eventually managed to find some super at a Sainsburys on the way home after trying another two places beforehand. The tenner didn't even stop the DTE light blinking!

We've had glorious hot sunshine for well over a week up here, and today it's been raining. I think that puts an end to this thread. *edit. But the op started this thread yesterday, so I'll get my coat.

On Mosely Street to be precise, this morning. I passed it that quick I didn't get to have a proper ogle, but it it had the Nismo stripe on the sides and the flash on the bonnet. I've never seen that on an Azure before. Loved it. Similar to this....

The owner of the 240 is a member of the ZClub. It was at Japfest last year, but with a silver bonnet.

My ownership was quite sad really. I was eighteen when I bought it, and was awe struck with it. Unfortunately, after three days it blew a head gasket. I didn't have a clue what I was doing but decided to start stripping the engine anyway (stripping far more than I needed to as well ). I laid all the bits down in the garage and labelled them up for easy refitting, but after a while winter kicked in and it got too cold for me. I decided to leave it and have beers and stuff for a few months until the weather improved. Sometime the following summer I went into the garage to the sight of many many orange bits of metal all over the place!!! It got scrapped not long after that.

Are you advertising it anywhere else yet? I know you previously said you were in no hurry, but this forum isn't exactly reaching a very wide audience, and the four or so grand you've gradually knocked off the price needn't have been so much. I bought mine from an Autotrader ad.

Hi all, I decided to have a drive up to Amble to buy a Saris Bones II bike rack from 'North-East Roof Racks' after seeing it mentioned as a possibilty on another thread. I rang the chap there, and he said he had fitted one to his neighbour's 350Z so it would definitely work. Although I don't need to use it for a while I thought I'd have a go at fitting it today to see how easy it was and if I'd need anything else for it. Fitting it was an absolute doddle. I adjusted the legs first so that it would sit in the correct position, then it was just a case of fitting the bootlid hooks and then tightening them. The top hooks needed the boot open slightly to get on but the four lower hooks fitted with the boot shut. I was a bit concerned about the paintwork as the hooks are metal, so I cut up some chamis to put between the hooks and the bodywork (the top two hooks seemed ok without). The feet of the rack are rubber, so I dont think they will mark the paintwork. Once the hook straps were tightened I gave the whole thing a bit of a push and shove and it seemed extremely solid with just enough 'give' to soak up any vibrations. Then the bike went on. Three straps hold it in position, but it needs a bit more strapping to make it good and fixed. I used some old rag to tie the front wheel to the rack so the handle bars don't clatter into the car and some more for the back wheels to stop it and the pedals spinning. It also need more rag to tie the lower part of the frame as I didn't want to risk the bike moving back and forward under acceleration and braking. The rack will hold a second bike but I only tried it with one. After all that I took the car for a bit of spin to see how it was. I was fairly careful with my driving (which I would be anyway with it on the back) but the bike barely moved at all; it was fine over the quite severe speed bumps and potholes around here too. I didn't get up to any speed so I'll see how that goes when I use it properly. Some small concerns are that the visiblity out the rear view mirror is a tad restricted, and I don't know what the Police will make of the slightly blocked license plate number? Other than that, it seems to be spot on. The last word in bike racks for a Zed? It could well be.

On Tuesday it will be fifteen pence per litre more expensive, which is just crazy!

The day I left the Lakes from my holiday last month the DTE indicator showed I had 84 miles of fuel left. The satnav said I was 92 miles from home, so I was definitely in need of a pit stop. However, not only did I manage to get home without stopping, but the DTE when I arrived said I still had 72 miles of fuel left!
