  1. Welcome Best to double check you've not accidentally pressed the window lock button had the same 'issue' once before and in my old MR2
  2. He did post in the non-z forum Flex, probably just casting a wide net.
  3. So basically my MK2.5 MX5's clutch is on the way out and im starting to look for a replacement now so I know what I want when I need to replace it. The car is going to be used both on the road and for the occasional track day so I don't want a clutch that's going to be horrible to live with in potential stop start traffic but that isn't going to melt at the first site of a bit of track driving. I also find the clutch pedal on the MX5 to be really light so I am mainly asking if there is a way to improve the pedal feel and add a bit of weight to it? From what I've looked into so far, fitting a braided line, some fresh fluid and either an exedy stage 1 or stage 2 clutch combined with either an OEM or light weight flywheel would be the way to go?
  4. Close........ ish.. I new I had read something. http://suction-mount...blogspot.co.uk/ Good find. Seems to fall into the same category as how having an air freshener dangling from your rear view mirror can fail an MOT.
  5. Way ahead of you That was on the list for today but it tipped it down so I took a break for a bit. Just out of interest how do you remove the section of red? There is a guide on the forum somewhere but basically I just melted the glue with a hair dryer, prised the plastic lens off then the red bit just pops out bit more heat and press it back together. Some remove the silver reflector but I decided to keep it in. Can hardly notice it really.
  6. Way ahead of you That was on the list for today but it tipped it down so I took a break for a bit. LED foglight is mega bright
  7. Well still haven't recorded a sound clip of the exhaust but I have de-fried-egging my rear lights. Shoved an LED reverse bulb in too If it hadn't just chucked it down I would have replaced the drivers side cluster with the cleared out one I have! Before: After:
  8. I don't like to make assumptions but they probably aren't mad at you but more hel for not offering them a deal. Have you spoken with any of the traders on here?
  9. Mash button repeatedly in quick succession Mine has only gotten stuck once or twice. Once its open just spay a little WD40 on the latch and clean off any muck.
  10. 1.5L I believe. Have a search, I found it there the other day
  11. I did notice that when I watched it but just thought he'd probably done that accidentally just because he was flustered. Still funny though. True but it doesn't really help his case
  12. Not bothered by stickers on cars really except for "The Ring" ones on cars that have clearly never seen the ring and model/trim level stickers/badges on cars that aren't that. I wanted to be ironic and stick a string of them on my 106 GTi (lets be honest its a pretty chavy car) so it read something like "Peugeot 106 GTi Type-R Nismo TRD RenaultSport Kompressor AMD". Decided against it in the end as I think the irony would be lost on a lot of people. Settled for this instead.
  13. "I was 50 meters in front of you, I put my indicator on" *Switches on windscreen wipers.
  14. From your first post I'd have said brake pads or discs and maybe a buggered calliper. Had you checked the brake fluid level? As others have said though wheel bearing could be a good shout.
  15. Really? I know Silverstone don't like sucker mounted cameras on track days but not heard anything about on the road. I've driven around with a GoPro on a few times and never had any problems.
  16. Welcome to the forum, love the front plates Must get a few comments over in the US
  17. Update time: Had some issues with the brake fitting. Fronts - Pads went on OK however the torque setting for the slider pin bolt I found online were massively wrong. Not sure if I stripped the thread or it had been done before but ended up replacing the slider pins, bolts and rubber boots just to be safe. Braided lines went on a treat. Rears - Fitted the new calipers, pads and braided lines no problem however the little steel distribution block was leaking brake fluid... Ended up replacing a section of the factory pipe with copper nickel pipe and sticking on a new union however it was still leaking!! Ended up going back to MX5parts and they sent me a new block. Didn't take a photo but looking at the two blocks side by side the leaky one had a smaller hole in the threaded ports than the new one so I can only assume the one I got couldn't pass enough fluid through it (might have been the block for the smaller brakes) and so it was leaking out the weakest seal. Either way, replaced the block and no more leaks New caliper, pads and brake lines. That little block is the old leaky one. Close up with the new pipe fitted Pipe run and join On another note I also replaced the air filter and fitted a Pioneer AppRadio2 Lightning connector in arm rest storage box Next on the list - Roll bar and oil + filter change.
  18. Ah very tempted. Ill keep an eye on the thread and might add my name later. Edit: Just for reference, are these for the Brembo calipers?

    Elbow grease

Totally agree. They got the shade of yellow spot on. My dad got jealous after I got my Zed and brought a yellow Renault van but I really don't like it. Its a weird yellow

    Elbow grease

Had the afternoon off work to give my Zed a long overdue wash and detail. Can't say I'm disappointed with the results And just to prove it is actually yellow lol
