Not yet. My understanding is that the ECU de-tunes itself back to factory power until a remap is done but it shouldn't throw a CEL without the remap. It was suggested by Ross as I mentioned and it is something on my list but there's no point until I get my plenum spacer fitted too otherwise I'll have to get it mapped again. Ross has a replacement sensor but hasn't fitted it yet. He tested the current one which he said is working fine so doesn't want to replace if if he doesn't need to. He did say it could be an intermittent thing though. Cheers for the replays guys. As I mentioned Ross is going to swap bank 1 and bank 2 on Monday as recommended by Mark at abbey in another thread. Will keep you posted. Any other thoughts please let me have them

As per title, my car (Its a 2005 GT4 so a DE UpRev) threw a P1283 after having the Milltek system and Berk HFC's fitted. My understanding is this is a lean shift on bank 2 sensor 1. Its been back to Japex to have spacers fitted to the second sensors however this hasn't cured the problem as we hoped. Ross has done a bunch of tests and the O2 sensor (1) on bank 2 is working fine as far as he can see. We have got a new sensor that could be swapped in but obviously there's not a lot of point if its not going to make a blind bit of difference. This might be completely irrelevant as Im by no means an expert but I recorded a few journeys with my OBD reader and since having the spacers fitted the shot term fuel trim has changed from being something like -25% on one bank, dont remember the other reading, to being within 6% of each other. The journey I recorded logged bank 1 as -10.9 and bank 2 as -5.5 short term fuel trim. I've done a search on here and seen things about swapping the sensors round, (bank 1 and bank 2) which Ross is going to try on Monday but was hoping you guys might have some other thoughts. Ross also suggested getting Abbey to do a remap (I've left a voicemail with Mark) and I believe I saw something about the RevUp tune being able to switch off that error code/the rear sensors. Cheers.

Looks like Abbey changed their site but sure I read on there its a VQ but just highly modified.

Dream car was a TT Supra until I saw how affordable 350's were. I annoyed the hell out of the missus for months swapping between the two. Ended up betting on race between a 350 and a Supra at Santa Pod, whichever won was the one i'd get lol. It wasn't this exact race but it was these two cars (I use the term cars loosely )

Love seeing stuff like this. Will follow with interest! Top work

Youtube it. There's a bunch of videos on there. Sounds fairly similar to my Milltek with Berk HFC's and I love it.

I've got the OEM Y pipe off my DE (2005). Its in good condition, no leaks as far as I know (I have photos if your interested) but im a long way away. Could do it shipped for £50+ delivery? At a guess I think delivery would be about £25 tops?

Good to know, will keep an eye on it. It's alright, forward gears are fine however sometimes reverse can be a pig to get. It's not actually seen a track yet, been modifying and fixing bits over the last two years. It's only a side project and something to see me through winter (which it did) so it's paid for itself in learning and practicality despite its lack of back seats lol

It wouldn't surprise me if it was just oil and other rubbish on the engine. When I got it it looked like the previous owner had spilled oil all down the front of the engine and not bothered to clean it off. There was this awful thick black sludge all down the front of the block. I cleaned off what I could but could have missed some.

So my Peugeot 106 track/winter car/practice stuff on project thing may have been a little bit on fire the other day. What with it being French I understand this is perfectly normal however since returning to the uncommon state of not-on-fire its started smoking around the exhaust manifold. My thought it is could be oil that I've missed burning off the block or possibly the exhaust manifold gasket got damaged in the fire although I had assumed this was metal based on the replacements available. Anyone got any other thoughts? Back story for those who are interested The cause of the fire was the oil pressure switch giving up. I recently fitted a mechanical oil pressure gauge using a T-piece and a braided line. Removing the switch and refitting it into the T-piece must weakened the switch which then gave up and sprayed oil on the exhaust manifold. Luckily I carry an extinguisher in the car so I pulled over and put it out. Towed it back home and replaced the sensor, cleaned off any oil I could see and wrapped the cables that melted in some high temp self amalgamating tape. Started her up and she runs as well as she ever did for an old abused 106. Only issue is there is a very small amount of smoke coming from around the exhaust manifold.

Longsh07 not that I've ever posted anything lol

Will try and record a decent sound clip in a couple of weeks once the exhaust has settled in.

Not a problem guys, thank you for the excellent customer service

Milltek and Berks all fitted! So happy with it, its exactly what I wanted. Fairly OEM looking and sounding but an awesome growl when you give it some. Japex took a before and after shot which they have kindly allowed me to use. Before: After

Spotted you pulling out of the petrol station in Kings Langley. Though you might be on your way to Japex too

Weird to think there might be another yellow zed living right under my nose and I've never seen it! I live near Luton, not quite in it. -
