  1. Also had a play with my GoPro's time lapse mode today. For some reason it didn't take any photos during the plenum fitting and the white balance went nuts on the way home so it looked like I was driving to the sun.
  2. Just a couple of photos and my dyno sheets from my UpRev tune at Abbey today. Dyno sheets do show a drop in BHP but an increase in torque.
  3. Finally got round to getting my plenum spacer and UPRev done. Arrived at Abbey at 8:30 this morning, can't wait to see it on the dyno
  4. Don't worry too much about it guys, I appreciate any help you can give me. I'm only asking incase anything comes of the accident. I didn't actually witness it myself. Both myself and the missus where out getting petrol In separate cars and it happened right in front of her. The bikers pulled into the petrol station just after us and I spotted it while one of them was in the queue to pay.
  5. Could be but I couldn't find any that sounded/looked similar online plus it looked like he had one of those on the other side of his helmet.
  6. I wanted to know what it was called if anyone as any idea so I can find out about it incase anything comes up about the accident in future. Unfortunately I don't know what it does. The copper gave it a name that I can't remember. It looks like other Drift cameras but apparently it's not....
  7. Had a look but the ones I've seen are on the inside of the helmet. This was attached fairly far back on the outside. Could it still be that?
  8. Bit of an odd question but was out getting petrol when a bunch of bikers turned up. One had something on his helmet which looked like a drift camera. Long story short, bikers had an incident up the road and I ended the night chatting to a copper who said it wasn't a camera but just looks like one? Didn't say what it did mind. It was on the jawline of his helmet and the copper said it was called an esc....something, maybe a scada or something, I have no idea! Anyway I was just hoping someone could maybe piece together the name from my awful description! I know it wasn't a Bluetooth set as he had one of those on the other side.
  9. If its a Bose then I don't think it matters as I think (according to their site) they all take the 29-674 cable from incartec. Based on what I can see on their website you might need the 21-118 Ariel adaptor too + whatever patch lead is suitable for your headunit Hope that helps. Edit: oh and the correct fascia, (50-306D for double din)
  10. Welcome chap, hope this helps (response in red) Always found the biting point high on my car even after a clutch change and adjusting the clutch down. As long as its not slipping its probably just something you need to adjust too. My car feels like this too without the aircon on. The manual actually recommends running with the aircon on all the time so I just do that. 800/750 with AC on is about right I believe. When I first got my 350 the brakes squeaked a lot. Apparently its something to do with the Brembos and other cars with them also suffer from it. Usually its just at very low speeds when applying the brakes lightly, at least it was in my case. After a few thousand miles it cleared up so it could have just been the new pads they fitted bedding in. Have you had yours changed recently? Treat the small areas of rust with some anti rust stuff then cover with some touch up paint or speak to a body shop who can do it for you. They will also have an idea regarding the spoiler. If its bubbling on the spoiler then maybe its had some chemical spilled on it (brake fluid for example?) but if its on the metal then it would be worth getting a body shop to take the spoiler off and see what's going on under there. Stone chips - 350 problems im afraid. Clear wrap or just live with it lol. Not sure im afraid. As already stated, 4RE is probably your best bet.
  11. That's true. Cheers chap, appreciate the help
  12. Not possible realistically money and time wise. Plus I need to get the remap done to get rid of this P1147 caused by the berks and milltek Just going to have to suck it up really. Thinking about going supercharged in the long run and I think I read the RevUp plenum is better for FI? So maybe I'll just deal with it :\
  13. Nice one Wasso Surprised the MREV2 was never mentioned though otherwise I'd have seriously considered this before getting booked in for a UpRev
  14. Glad I saw this. I'm off to Abbey on the 6th to have a plenum spacer and an UpRev tune done on my GT4. Abbey know my car is a GT4 and dint bat an eyelid so I assume its not an issue.
  15. My 97 Mk2 Rev4 MR2 Spent too much money on it and sold it for way too little. Loved this car. If I just held onto it for a little bit longer I could have used it as a track car instead of buying an awful 106 GTi which caught fire... At least my MX5 that replaced the 106 is on par with my MR2.
  16. It's not an AppRadio3 but I've got an AppRadio2 installed in both my 350 and MX5. Its great if you've got an iPhone but was a pain trying to make it work with my old Android phone. Also worth noting with my version (cant confirm on AppRadio3) but I cant use the old style iPod/iPhone connector at the same time as the lighting connector. You can use google maps but you cant interact with it through the headunit touch screen. That said a great alternative is Waze (owned by google) which can be used through the headunit touch screen. Photos: AppRadio2 setup for Android/iPod/iPhone 4 And setup for iPhone 5 (Cant use old connector though with this setup) And setup for iPhone5 in my MX5.
  17. HKS Super Hybrid is what I use. Sure Cougar Store/Clarke Motorsport/Tarmac Sportz (or any of the traders on here really) will do you a good deal
  18. Defensive parking? I don't know what you are talking about (This isn't bad parking, I do edge as far away from the car next to me without brushing against the bushes.) Besides always trying for an end space, keeping away from trees that contain birds with bladder issues is a priority...
  19. Impressive to actually see it in the car! Id only ever seen this video of a V8 MX5 before
  20. Thanks chap, really pleased with how close to body colour they are. One of the other options was to just paint the originals body colour but thought a little bit of extra light wouldn't do any harm!
  21. Aug 14 Update time - Got some clear reflectors which I decided to tint in a light smoke colour. Really pleased with these, just need a HID kit now to get rid of the yellow dipped beam. Roll bar fitting, step 1, remove speaker wind blocker Step 2, remove trim, parcel shelf and carpet Step 3, hack about 4" off the parcel shelf mounting points on the seatbelt towers and neaten up the mess you've made. Step 4, figure out what spacers are required to close the gap between the roll bar and the towers then drill the holes Step 5, bolt seatbelt tower bolts back in place, mark locations to drill, jack up rear, remove wheels and arch lines, drill out hole to 10mm Step 6, Fit spacers, bolt through seatbelt towers, bolt through floor pan and fit reinforcing plates on rear mounting points, paint to prevent rust. Step 7, trim parcel shelf, sound deadening and carpet then refit everything
  22. Im in the process of fitting a roll bar to my MX5 and I need to get some spacers to go in the gap between the seat belt tower and the roll bar mounting point (see pictures). Would I need to use high grade washers/spacers for this or would regular steel washers do? Found these: http://www.a2stainle...APXTD.aspx?nh=1 http://www.a2stainle...12QDQ.aspx?nh=1 Size wise they would work but just need someone to confirm the steel grade required please! Spacers/washers go between the silver seat belt tower and the black roll bar (which has a right angle bracket) [
  23. Takes a long time settle. Waited about two hours once to be able to get an accurate reading. Even then it was a PITA due to the useless dipstick position lol

    WouId you?

Sure I read somewhere they want to put a turbo 2.0L engine in it, am I the only one that's a little gutted by this? Why no V6/straight 6?? Edit: link http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1093493_new-toyota-supra-powertrain-details-emerge?dr Its probably for emissions reasons and I'm sure the electric motor will add some horse power but I'm just concerned its going to sound a bit naff.
  25. Currently got the same code since having my exhaust replaced. Cleared it a few times but keeps coming back. Not planning to replace the sensor though as I'm having Abbey Motorsport do an UpRev remap, part of which will switch off the two rear sensors anyway Worth looking into if you've got any modifications as replacing the sensor *MIGHT* not make a difference
