  1. Once a year, which is between about 4-5k miles for me.
  2. Smells lovely? I agree this is a great wax but as far as smells go, it isn't great!
  3. Volvo 244GLT (drifty) Rover 827 si Vauxhall Nova 1.2 ( Bit of a come down!) Ford Fiesta Poplar (Worst car ever) Citroen Xantia 2.0 VSX Nissan Primera 1.6 Nissan 200 SX s14a Citroen ZX 1.9td VW Polo 1.0 (crap) Seat Cordoba 1.9 SDI Peugeot 306 hdi 350z Seat Leon TDI 130
  4. I had the same release bearing noise in my 200sx in all the 7 years I owned it and a similar noise in the 3 years I've had my Zed. If it is not slipping, or the DMF isn't causing a distinct judder when in use, its probably ok.
  5. For anyone wondering, it goes pretty well, it's no slouch at all, though I suppose it helps that it goes through tyres a set a month!!
  6. I didn't want a dunking in the river! Thanks guys!
  7. Have you changed the gearbox and diff oil? May be worth it and adding some molyslip to the box too. Best to use the genuine Nissan gearbox oil. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  8. My preference is a sealant on white, really adds to the zing. Something like Fusso Soft99 Light or Sonax Hybrid NPT. A couple of layers and monthly top ups with Sonax BSD and bam! Lush finish!
  9. Is the headlight adjustor for the HID's incorrectly setting the throw of the headlights? I know there are some complaints about the original HID's but when properly adjusted they're perfectly useable and throw out a decent amount of light. The HID adjustor is next to the rear arb drop link (passenger side I think but don't quote me on that!). Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  10. You're right, the next spray wax doesn't do very much. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  11. Spotted it just after lunch near the council offices. Made my work afternoon just that little bit better!
  12. The Supernatural wax or the Supernatural Hybrid? Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  13. A lot of 'waxes' like Collinite are sealants or at the very least sealant hybrids. I know what you mean though, the newer ranges are excellent. Many say they are sterile to look at. At the end of the day though, the crisp reflective look is also attractive and the dirt repellency and durability more than make up for it in my opinion. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  14. Indeed, a worthy addition to anyone's detailing arsenal. It's also good under boutique waxes to add a bit more protection. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  15. In short, yes! Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  16. I'd be keen to see all the top 3, particularly to see the difference between Desire and Desireable, Nattys are popular and similar so not sure if they are needed. Finish Kare would be a good durability marker, with the bottom ones I think the Development Wax would be most interesting. I would personally be interested in seeing you sacrifice one of the waxes for Sonax PNS for comparison. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  17. Thread resurrection! However, for reference, the Turtlewax Ice 'polish' which is actually a sealant and the equivalent stage to the third step of the Meguiars 3 Step system, is actually miles, miles better! Should have taken Ekona up on his offer. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  18. Nope! No Nankangs. I've had loads of different tyres and wheels on the 200 sx too, what tends to work well on one tends to work on the other, similar overall weight balance I think, albeit less weight and a much spikier torque delivery from the turbo.
  19. I really don't rate the 3 stage Meguiars 3 stage system, not least the 3rd step wax which lacks durability and is frankly a waste of time. Autoglym's Super Resin Polish although just one product is an all in one which cleans, shines and protects, plus is probably the best filling product on the market. It is also more durable than the 3rd step wax by itself. It also works well below most waxes and sealants extending their durability. If purchasing from only Halfrauds, I'd be getting the Farecla G3 clay mitt, Autoglym Body conditioning Shampoo, Farecla G3 applicator pads. As for the last stage product (LSP) nothing from the Meguiars range actually lasts that long from there, Autoglym's Extra gloss protection is good but fussy and takes ages, HD wax is expensive. I like the Farecla wax and Turtlewax's Extra Gloss Sealer Wax shock is like Autoglym's, but less fussy and just as long lasting. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  20. Hello from the wrong side of the Loughor! Would be nice to have a meet. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  21. There's loads of hype with products, best wait to leave that die down and see some real evidence. Saved loads of money doing it that way over the years! Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  22. Another great test and I concur with your recommendation of FK1000p. It's what I've been using for the last couple of years. Its also good on the rest of the car too, what's there not to like?! Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  23. I'd agree, there's seems to be an issue that you need to address. Masking the problem will probably just exacerbate the problem in the longer term.
  24. Good tests. Despite the clinginess of BSD I think its a brilliant product, less a QD and more a spray sealant. It's a beader for sure, it has ridiculous water behaviour. What I like about it is how clean it leaves my car in between washes and how easy to clean it is at wash time. Some BH autofoam and a rinse and that will pretty much do it. I do like the C2v3 too but prefer BSD, I find it more durable and dirt repellant.
  25. Megs Nxt wax is nowhere near as good as purple haze. Anyway, the finished look of the car comes 95% from the prep so a good polish and even a glaze if you're gonna continue with purple haze will work wonders. Megs #7 or Clearkote Red Moose Glaze under the wax will add wetness. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
