  1. Thanks! Sort of, live in Gorseinon, brother lives in Llanelli, from Burry Port. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  2. So what have you used on the Zed then? Last count Ive had NS2, T1S, Pirelli Zero Rosso, RE040, T1R, FK453, FK452, Vredestein, RE050 and MPSS on mine and thats not a random order BTW And out of those, I'd pick MPSS to be the best. Am I right? Cool. I've tried FK452, Bridgestone SE03, Bridgestone RE01 (albeit on different wheels) and RE050 (on a different Zed) oh and of course the F1 AS2's. I didn't rate the FK452's the RE01's are brilliant in the dry, the RE050's are ok and the F1's are really very good indeed.
  3. What else have you tried on the Zed to be able to make a statement like that? Ive just had a count up and Ive used 9 but I wouldnt like to make an ultimate statement of whats best .............. Educated reasoning taking into account tyres used on the Zed, other cars and reviews and of course price.
  4. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the best price to performance ratio tyre for the Zed currently is the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2. Also, Tyrereviews is a good website that collates lots of tyre tests from all sorts of places and real life testimonials too.
  5. I'm a fan of Bilt Hamber products. Bilt Hamber's Auto Wheel is an excellent product also, along the same kind of lines as Dragons Breath.
  6. Maybe invest in a claybar and Use the Farecla for scratch removal, if you have scratches that are visible but not too deep so as to go down to the paint. Also, the Megs cleaner wax is quite similar, but not as good as Autoglym's Polish, despite what each are called. You need a good last stage product (LSP). As far as waxes go, Bilt hamber's Finis Wax is about as good as it gets right now. Super durable. If you prefer sealants (synthetic waxes) then Sonax are making some great products. Their Xtreme Protect & Shine Hybrid NPT is really good stuff. Otherwise I'd concur with the above Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk

  8. This was my previous car, a 280 bhp S14a. Bloody loved it, but some bint in a Clio rear ended it. Probably for the best though, some issues were getting costly and it allowed me to get a Zed!
  9. I've had medication induced anxiety and as said before, the 3 best things for me were mindfulness, particularly breathing exercises, exercise and the gym and finally for me, golf! Even if it's just a driving range. Its so hard and you have to concentrate so much, you forget about your anxiety. Good luck with it, don't be afraid to speak to your gp, maybe even some diazepam may be useful if it becomes unmanageable in the short term. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  10. Nice car! A good service and new plugs will help plus running with the air con on may help with the judder. Enjoy your new steer. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  11. I beg to differ. The two cars are essentially the same. Having test driven both, the only glaring difference is the fixed roof and the marginal 0.2 increase. The straight 6 still delivers a top speed of 155, but with a 0.5 reduction in 0-60 time. The preference between the two extends only as far as which do you prefer - The added extras afforded by the M package, or not. Either way, both are in a different league to the 350z, and I feel no shame in saying I adored my 350z. It's not just about the stats. The M car is better to drive in so many little extra ways over the 3.0, it makes it far more visceral, alive and less sterile. The 3.0si is nice, but pretty safe, boring even and thats what the Zed has over it.
  12. The 350z is better than the Z4 3.0 BUT the Z4 M is better than the 350z and the 370z to my mind. Will also hold its value better I should think.
  13. You don't even need to replace the rear speakers, just the front components and the sub as far as the speakers go. The rear speakers should only be adding a tiny bit of rear fill anyway which even the standards can do. A decent 4 channel amp, run from anew HU and bingo, excellent sound. Keep the soundstage up front.
  14. That's god to hear. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  15. Mine fail, but that was with the old exhaust which must have had a leak for a while which would explain the EML being triggered frequently. Since the Invidia was put on it doesn't come on. That may mean that the measurement loop will work better, I don't know. Either way, I've still got my old cats which I put in the boot and the garage swap it for me and swap it back. Costs a bit more but worth it. May just get some silenced decats and be done with it!
  16. No, don't get a boomy sound. It does get louder, and it's louder than standard, but it isn't a bad noise, sounds like a 6 cylinder sports car!
  17. The Falken 452 have had their day. They were on my 350 when i bought it and before I put on the F1 Asymmetrics and I've used them before on a 200sx. They are OK new but are quite noisy and wet grip goes when there's still lots of tread left. As I've said before, beset balance of cost vs performance is the F1's, the MPSS are better balanced in the dry, but more expensive. They are also not as good as the F1's in the wet. My reasoning is that its much easier to get to the limits in the wet so that is a touch more of a priority. The F1's also are pretty good in the dry, won quite a few tests and review well on tyre reviews. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  18. The Invidia Gemini with Berks I have and I wouldn't say is droney but is louder and deeper than standard when using the throttle. The Invidia totally took away the rasp of the hfc's too compared to the standard exhaust. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  19. The Falkens aren't a quiet tyre. The quietest tyre I've tried is the Hankooks Ventus Evo V12 K110. They are also better than the Falken 452s in every other respect. In my opinion , the best balance of performance to cost comes from the Goodyear F1 Assymetric 2 at the moment. The mpss is better in the dry, but the F1s are better in the wet. 20. I've just put some on, really very good tyres!
  21. According to tyre reviews website they are bottom of the mid table, but from what you've said you use your car for, they sound fine. Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  22. The guy at Avia does full corner weighting too. He's been involved in Motorsport for years and has built and set up and raced lots of single seaters. That obviously costs more, its basically charged by the hour. Funny thing is though it's just as much an art as a science with him, no print out but he was showing me exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it, using the standard 'book' geometry as a base (1st go) then tweaking it to make it drive better. I just wish I understood it better! I've been places before that's had all the kit with the print outs, but if the operator didn't know exactly why he was going what he was doing, then it's just a bunch of green boxes on a screen. 23. The Goodyear F1's are much closer in terms of performance to the MPSS (actually better in the wet) than what you think so you should probably get some more Hankooks. What Hankooks do you have? I've tried the K110 Evo's and they are much better than Falken 452's. The S2 Evo's are meant to be better again.
  24. It's not lowered, just standard suspension. It's surprising how good standard stuff can feel! Sent from my AT10LE-A using Tapatalk
  25. I took my car to be 4 wheel aligned at Avia Auto's, Bridgend yesterday after fitting new Goodyear F1's all round. The old fronts had worn the insides badly leaving the outsides quite fresh. The mechanic here is a bit of an alignment legend and knew something was amiss almost immediately. Got the lasers on it and it was all over the shop! That will explain the pulling to the left then! I just thought it was road camber! Checked the standard settings and he asked how I wanted it to drive. I don't track the car so even tyre wear suits me best. He can set it up how you want it, aggressive for the track or somewhere in between. After some fiddling he was impressed to find that the car's chassis was dead plumb with no set back. I learnt a fair bit as he was doing it. First go and he got it much better and a test run verified that but he wasn't quite happy, so back on the rig. Second go better again. Third go and he was very impressed! He also loves 350's with Invidia exhausts and I could tell he enjoyed working on this car. All in £80 well spent, car now turns in better, is far more stable, doesn't hunt on the road and doesn't pull to one side. It may still wear the insides of the front tyres a bit as that is the way they are he thinks but should be better. A new level of respect for the car. Also anyone in south Wales should check out Avia Auto's!
