  1. Clucking bell.. thats that one blown out of the window,
  2. Thanks mate, I did go through some old threads before I posted, and the Falkens keep coming up, is the FK453 the best for my requirements? Ian
  3. Guys, I will be replacing all 4 tyres in the next month or so, Id really appreciate any opinions on what Id like to get from them. Number one would be reduced road noise, it is pretty much impossible to have a conversation at 70 mph right now without shouting, and the second is to soften down the ride, Im not requiring any super grip or enhanced road holding, I just want a more civilized driving experience. Many thanks Ian
  4. Remember Ian they are not the OEM arms as per the left hand arm I supplied you, the quality is not the same hence the price difference I have no idea of the source of the part Ewen, it seems to be up to scratch and has a 12 month guarantee, but I will be using Nissan parts in future when my budget allows me, Im just a bit penny less after the purchase of the car, I wasnt expecting two components failing immediately or that needed changing, I cant understand how it got through an MOT a week previously to be honest ? They were both totally shot. Theyre not tested during an MOT. Most people find that the only way to check is to either take the arm off, or to raise the car up on a ramp and try to wobble the arm with a crowbar as a aid. I had the same issue with mine when I bought it. Got it for a very good price but it needed two new banana arm bushes (done), new AC radiator (done) new flywheel (not yet done), new boot struts (done), 4x new droplinks (done) and probably a few other bits, I've had it a year and just got the most expensive one to do. Thats a lot of work mate.. hopefully fingers crossed Im ok for now, what I have found though is IMO you dont have to go Specialists for the work on these motors, any competent mechanic can do most of the things youd do on your normal daily driver, like suspension, brakes etc.. and shopping around for parts can save you a bucket.

Once again big thanks guys. Ian
  7. Nice one Phil, thanks mate, is this the sort of job you would get them to deal with with confidence. Cheers Ian
  8. Hi guys, Can anyone recommend anyone decent to fit some new bushes on the compression arm, anywhere near Sunderland or Seaham would be great if possible. Cheers Ian
  9. Thanks Ewan, Ive just spoken to the guy who sold me the car and hes saying he thinks its just the bushes.. Im no mechanic, so I wouldnt know either way, is it worth doing the bushes first, or is it pointless if the arm is toast? cheers Ian
  10. Thanks Ewen, if Ive added up correctly can you do the complete setup for £300 ish.. is that including delivery. Cheers Ian
  11. Thanks Ewen Can you give me a price for the parts please and what is your delivery time and cost. Thanks Ian
  12. Hi guys, I have just purchased my first zed, the seller advised me that the front compression arm needed changing, it is quite noisey and clattery, Ive no idea what it is, he assured me it was a cheap part and easy fix.. Im now questioning this? is it a specialist job, can say kwick fit do this sort of thing? just am flat broke after buying the car..any help would be much appreciated Cheers guys Ian
