Remember Ian they are not the OEM arms as per the left hand arm I supplied you, the quality is not the same hence the price difference
I have no idea of the source of the part Ewen, it seems to be up to scratch and has a 12 month guarantee, but I will be using Nissan parts in future when my budget allows me, Im just a bit penny less after the purchase of the car, I wasnt expecting two components failing immediately or that needed changing, I cant understand how it got through an MOT a week previously to be honest ? They were both totally shot.
Theyre not tested during an MOT. Most people find that the only way to check is to either take the arm off, or to raise the car up on a ramp and try to wobble the arm with a crowbar as a aid.
I had the same issue with mine when I bought it. Got it for a very good price but it needed two new banana arm bushes (done), new AC radiator (done) new flywheel (not yet done), new boot struts (done), 4x new droplinks (done) and probably a few other bits, I've had it a year and just got the most expensive one to do.
Thats a lot of work mate.. hopefully fingers crossed Im ok for now, what I have found though is IMO you dont have to go Specialists for the work on these motors, any competent mechanic can do most of the things youd do on your normal daily driver, like suspension, brakes etc.. and shopping around for parts can save you a bucket.
