  1. Which one is in the best condition? Which one has a documented history of work done and services (brakes/clutch/tyres etc)? Have mentioned this a few times to new buyers but tax cost really is irrelevant - if a couple hundred quid is a serious consideration as to buying one car over the other you should be more worried about the cars history as a clutch change and new brakes will cost you well north of £1000 - hell your first full fill up of super unleaded will be around £90.
  2. Actually like that idea!

  6. Click on Forums on the left and then search through to the buyers guides, its all there, a good bit of lunchtime reading to help you make your decision.

  8. But given that most religions central imperative is to convert non believers - do non believers not have to have something to argue against a religious conversion i.e. observable evidence as an example?
  9. ...goes over to Google to find the next 'end of the world' date to stick in the diary. Dare we say religion has many more failed assumptions than science it would seem
  10. Fortunately the West Ham match is the early kick off, didn't want to miss it... If it happened right now you would have a right to feel aggrieved in Bora Bora where its still Friday - a whole extra day taken away that the rest of the world got

  12. See I would go completely the other way. A couple of years back my neighbour noted that I spent every weekend outside cleaning my car, interior, keeping it immaculate. She had an 15 year old + BMW convertible 3 series. Probably worth about a grand I thought, it was covered in all sorts of welded on crap, hood had moss etc. Turns out she bought the car new and was the only owner, she loved the car but car washes never worked on it. So I offered to detail it for her, the look on her face when she came out after I get it back to pretty much brand new was amazing she couldnt stop saying thank you, even rang her brother up who then drove over from an hour away to come and look. Clearly the car meant a lot but she didnt have the knowhow to go to a detailer. I couldnt imagine getting the same satisfaction cleaning a supercar and have the owner waltz back in throw me a £20 tip without so much as a second look and just drive off...

    Evo 2017 Tyre Test

Or the guy doing the test would subjectively give them lower scores than the MPS4 because subjectively he had already in advance of the test come to a subjective conclusion on what tyre will win anyway...
  15. Easy enough to swap two OEM seats out - in fact they are probably the frost grey which are quite rare, you might be able to swap them with someone for black with a few quid coming your way as well
  16. The blue does pop out a bit more from looking black in reality than in photos
  17. The worst car buying decision you can make is to buy one car over another based on its colour...

  19. Cars can be registered in 2007 but were cars that were the last of the revup cars just sat in warehouses waiting to go out. So you will see occasionally that oddity occur. As above, its very easy to spot an HR - dual intakes is the best way (beware bonnet bulges as many owners swap out the old one for a bonnet bulge for aesthetic reasons). Just lift the bonnet and the answer is bang in front of you. Just avoid Junction 17 altogether, if anything goes wrong they will break every law in the land to fob you off, its just not worth it there are so many other zeds available at better prices in better condition.
  20. Ha! Yes it wasnt interesting in the slightest, I just wanted to test out the camera but also the 3 stem mount I had stuck to the outside of the car to make sure the whole lot didnt drop off, it was a nice safe place to try it out But yes, the image quality is really good, it has a case it can go in which has vents towards the back which should shield the mic I will try it in. Also might stick it towards the front of the car to try and capture the noise better (but so many curves hard to find a decent surface space to attach it). But overall, a brilliant piece of kit for £60. Came in a decent box as well which has all the attachments in so easy to store. For what I needed it for, absolutely no reason to go spending silly money on top end gear at all.

  22. I bought the Apeman 4k camera in the end - paid £61 for it from Amazon. I took a quick video of it attached (without mic screening hence the wind noise) to the side of my car and took a drive around Richmond green. Its strange as its 4k on my laptop when watching the mp4 file via a media player but then on You Tube when I uploaded it the settings say its 1080/60 https://youtu.be/FJUdXD-AJnA In any case this is easily good enough for what I wanted the camera for. Small, cheap and easy use to capture the moment. Not sure on the image stability function, its weird watching the car move around but the rest of the scene stay stable - shows the function works really well but to feel in the moment I guess you should feel all the undulations of the road!
  23. There is no need to bump this, you posted it up at midnight and no one has responded by 9am. Some common sense required here along with some patience.
  24. I have to say for a hundred quid it's pretty tempting
  25. Don't tell her you have it Then when you go out for the night with mates and you suddenly see the car going around and you get home and its back where it was when you left it, you know what to do
