It's actually Indonesian, a cracking film though, it really catches you by surprise just how intense it is and you are shattered by the end of it just keeping up with the non-stop action. In a similar vein, Ip Man is brilliant and based on the true story of the Chinese guy who survived WWII and eventually became the guy who trained Bruce Lee, that scene where he steps into the room and challenges ten Japanese martial artists in one hit is just amazing. On a side note if you You Tube Bruce Lee you see some of the stuff he was capable of is quite scary. Being able to punch someone backwards ten feet by just hitting the person with two fingers holding his hand six inches from them. Mind blowing. Interesting fact as well, if you watch very closely on Enter the Dragon where Bruce Lee drops into the underground lair and is discovered and attacked by a mob of people, at one point he has his back to a room and is attacked by multiple guards, one guard goes at him and get felled with some sticks which clip him in the face (for real) the extra playing that guard was non other than Jackie Chan. He still claims it to be his best movie moment being floored by Bruce Lee as an extra

I seem to drop into that minority that prefers the looks of Aston over the Maser, the Maser just looks overly long, and a bit too 'wingy' Do agree on the looks of GTR though, it was built by a machine not a person, still think the R33 and R34 look better than the R35 and the designs are decades old. Looking at your mod list mate your Zed should go quickly, price it up to sell, put together a great advert and live somewhere close to big populations and bingo you should be fine. Yes lightweight sports cars rock eh - feels like you are climbing into an F1 car everytime you take it for a spin!

Yes one you should buy and drive on sunny summer days and tuck away in a box the rest of the time. But not worth that at the moment...its just completely out of kilter, its like he is charging what it will be worth in 10 years time.

Never too late to sell a car mate, there will always be buyers just less or more depending on multitudes of variables. I sold my VX in November (which the forum would have told you was impossible) within two weeks of putting it up for sale - you just have to have a great advert and a price that tempts. Glad you are enjoying the VX, amazing cars aren't they, just a whole new level of driving experience

Welcome mate, good write up, some observations there that most would agree with I think. The looks are of course subjective but I agree, roof down car looks ace, roof up it looks all a bit odd like it was put together using parts from different cars, the lines do not work at all. Targa top would have been cool Performance you mean as in acceleration? Zeds are lardy, with the roof gear in even more so, not sure what the paper times are for it (6 to 6.5 seconds 0-60 as a benchmark?) which puts it on par with most modern hot hatches etc. Its a cracking GT car though and pulls along motorways nicely.

Refurb the calipers fully? (not sure if thats what you meant by freeing up the calipers) Either that or as people said get brembos although used sets go for well over £500 from what I have seen. I have a car with 20 year old brakes on it, calipers have been fully refurbished including seals and pistons and they work absolutely fine.

The funny thing is if pedestrians all wore cameras there would be 1000s of videos a day of near misses sent to police to hunt down cyclists breaking the law. Maybe they should, body cams on pedestrians.

Yes hard to tell if the lights were red, the guy clearly saw her coming as he was looking directly at her and made no shock movements as if surprised. Could well have jumped the lights. That said, the reaction was well over the top!

You would most likely be looking at money the other direction for an R34 GTT, a super cheap one can be had for around £8k-£9k

I lift weights on Fridays and Saturdays, usually pint glass sized, thats about it.

My GT4 is my first 4WD and it is very muchly fun - although I am not exactly a quick driver, it appears fun to me and its permanent 4WD.

The R33 GTR is not constant 4WD, it is as standard rear wheel drive but when the rears lose grip it shifts power to the front. You could argue its 'safer' but it does mean better handling (in terms of not drifting). You can always pull the ATTESA (the Skyline control unit for power usage) fuse out I believe to make it rear wheel drive only as the drive shafts free turn. R33 GTR is faster in stock format than R33 GTST.

R33 GTRs are going up in price also, for a half decent one you are looking at £12k+ I would say. As per any older car purchase check all the perishables, clutch, brakes, bushes, knocks, etc. and as long as the engine is healthy and you are relatively rust free you get yourself into what is an iconic car - those four, red, rear lights are motoring legend

Theres a lower model than the GTST with a non turbo engine. Personally, I'd never trade a Z for a GTST and certainly not in a straight swap. Most GTST's will have been beaten half to death also so finding a good one is hard There is the GTS (non turbo) GTST rear wheel drive 2.5 turbo GTR 4WD 2.6 turbo As above, without knowing what Zed you have, I suspect you should be looking for the GTST plus cash from the guy - that said, GTST prices are rising quickly at the moment, the one I had which was in great condition, no rust, 79k miles is worth around £6.5k I would say

As LRF4N said, they are heavy cars and the chassis is nigh on 20 years old, not really great in the corners but very good straight line speed. I found the brakes fine to be honest for what was an 18 year old car. Things to look out for are smoking turbos and oil burning out the exhaust - also check the car over fully for rust, especially if the paint looks really new it could have been painted over. The most prevalent place is on the front strut tops in the engine bay, if you get rust eating away there you are looking at something like £400 per side repair work. If you can compression test the engine to get as much info on the engines health as you can. The engines are super strong though and the advantage of a turbo driven car with a strong gear box and engine internals is that boosting is a good upgrade giving decent gains for a much lower cost than you would see with the Zed. I actually went the route of fitting an HKS turbo actuator set to a mid level safe boost rather than an EBC along with a decat and aftermarket exhaust (total cost around £550) and the car made 293bhp. Clearly its a different drive to the NA Zed, the boost is highly addictive and put on an aftermarket bov plus a nice aftermarket exhaust coupled with the straight 6 and you get all sorts of theatre going on in terms of noise, certainly a better sound than my previous 350z (but hey thats just my view). I noted you are being offered a series 1, there are some subtle differences between series 1 and 2 in terms of styling and engine. From what I remember (try googling) Series 1 styling exterior was more rounded, the lights were rounder and the bonnet flatter, the series 2 had a squarer bonnet and lights. Front grille was also different for series 2. Series 2 turbos were slightly improved I believe, as such the ECUs were better mapped in spec 2s - Spec 2s also had a newer CAS (remote central locking plus other electronic bits) and an uprated AFM

In London there is a huge push by our dear Mayor to increase cyclist numbers, which is great, get people fitter, reduce pollution etc - but you are getting people onto bikes who have no idea of how to cycle in a city, nor is there the provision in the infrastructure to account for thousands of bikes on a road. Simply putting some blue paint on a narrow road with a white bike sign is not how to create a transit system that will take tens of thousands of bikes and cars. And as above, unfortunately the majority of cyclists on the fast bikes seem to have a quite mental attitude to cycling on the road that is so disparate from the rest of the world it makes for a hotbed of confrontation.
