That was an uprev. I already had cats and exhaust upgrade previously. No idea what 288@hubs equates to at the fly.
-
Just had my HR engine installed and remapped at Abbey. Got 288 BHP at the hubs. I have Kinetic cats and a Miltek cat back exhaust. Compared to the DE which it replaced, it's has about 27BHP more, is much smoother and the engine keeps pulling up the revs.

Hi, I have a bonnet in GM from a 2006 UK GT in VGC. I've just replaced the engine with an HR unit and needed a 2007 bonnet. Let me know. It's at Abbey Motors at the moment. Kevin

Just figured it out. Being in Switzerland, there isn't any mention of the senseless slaughter of millions for no reason.

What's this about?

Abbey is currently putting an HR engine in my 2006 GT. It needs a new ECU, wiring loom, aircon pipes (about £500), radiator, fan, expansion tank. Cost wise it's better just to get the same engine. I think my final bill for engine (From ZMANALEX) + fitting will be between £5-6000. I'm going F.I. so I justify it to a degree (I keep repeating this to myself)

Skiing is for sheepy baaaaaaaaaaaaahs -
Got to agree. We are currently in possible one of the steepest downturns in recent history. This is not going to change soon and will get a lot worse in the near term. Prices are going to fall to close to zero for most second hand vehicles. Not what people want to hear, but that is the reality. On that happy note I'll crawl back to my cave Can you make biofuel from bankers?

I'd be interested in the "Shine V2 Front bumper with Carbon Lip and Canards" and "C West Side Skirts"

I'd be interested if one is available

No money to be made in PC hardware anymore. All the big boys have pulled out of the PC market simple due to there being very slim operating margins. If IBM and HP with their buying power can't make a profit (If you buy CPUs/Memory/Disks/Boxes by the 100000, you get a bit of discount) I suspect you might struggle a bit. I think the day of the PC is over. Most laptops have more than enough power/memory/disk space for the vast majority of punters. Power users will still use them, but I think this will be a dwindling market. ( Don't know many people that need a serious number cruncher in the house ) Obviously the NAS/Storage boxes will get bigger. But there no money in building them either (This is written by a grumpy f***** who's been doing this rubbish since the days of the Commodore Pet 2001 1978 )

If you look at my dynos you'll see a difference of about 7 HP. First dyno was with 95RON fuel, second was with 98RON fuel.

I would avoid the REVUP engine if possible. While you could get a good one there's a fair possibility you won't. The issue is crap piston rings. If you are going to rebuild for FI (uprated internals) should be OK. I am a bit bias. I have a 2006 GT revup and I'm in the process of changing the engine to an HR(hopefully).

333 deaths in police custody since 1998 http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/2011/0 ... ire-52881/ Bent cops, bent politicians, bent bankers, bent soldiers, bent spooks! How do you think this is going to end? Bankers have stolen 24 trillion dollars is the last few years, They also launder all the drug/weapons money... They've done more damage to the world economy/peoples lives that any of the rioters/thugs have done... Where's your outrage at that?

is a 2007 313 model worth £1000 more than 2007 300
planetsurfer2 replied to wesmin's topic in 350Z General
The engine is at Abbey ready to go (courtesy of ZMANALEX ). Abbey are currently building a fix for the loom. ( requires an extra plug ) Hopefully should be installed in the next month or so. I'm doing the twin turbo thing as well. Got the turbos, just need to plan and execute the rest. -

I don't think that is the case. Most people don't speak about it. I expect they don't want to devalue their pride and joy. The issue is crap piston rings and scrapers on the revup engines. The only fix is to replace the rings and scrapers. Mine is using a lot of oil at the moment, so I'm replacing it with an HR engine. There are reports in the U.S. that there are issues with HR rings as well. -
About to install an HR engine, this should be good for 450BHP without needing rebuilt with forged internals. As this will be my daily drive with occasional track days I expect to run @400BHP. I have a pair of HKS 2530 Turbos, I havent decided which kit yet and all the work will be done by Abbey Motorsports. Obviously hoping the dollar sinks like a stone to reduce the exorbitant cost of installing TTs.

Hi, I have a FX35, fantastic piece of kit. It's had an UPREV (reflash of the ECU). For the size of the vehicle the performance is impressive and the build quality is superior to Nissan. Not been too impressed with Infiniti in the UK. Obviously they haven't been in business too long. As far as tuning is concerned anything you can do to a 370, you can do to the G37. I'm going for twin turbos later this year, but I'm putting them in my Z. Kevin

I lived in France for 20 years and I regularly pass through it once a month. (Although a lot slower now :-( ) I have been done for speeding on numerous occasions in both UK and French registered cars and vans and I have never been asked about warning triangles, light deflectors, first aid kits, spare light kits. Have your V5, your driving license, passport, insurance documents and HiVis vests. Speeding at 160KM/H will earn you a 90 Euro fine. If you don't have the cash on you the police will escort you to a cash machine. If you treat them as humans and don't be a smart arse they will respond in kind. If you don't speed or have an accident, the only time you might have contact with the police is random Alcohol Breath tests or random vehicle checks late at night. Never seen these on the Motorway, But I've seen many at lunch time in various towns.

I do Infrastructure and making stuff go fast for a living. If I can help let me know.

Hi Exotic, I'll take the spare wheel. Cheers Kevin
