had the m.o.t done in november and no signs of any wear so all good my other mate has a garage so when ever i think theres something wrong it goes up on the ramp but no what you mean about not having full access ive been looking at alternatives to four ramps lol hopefully i will construct something in the new year so i can get the whole zed up in the air without too much fuss

looks a better attempt than my first go, nice one!! I put up a guide and still got in trouble with it Im hoping attempt 2 will go better

I think part of the reason i can get away with owning a zed is Alex and my personal mechanic who charges me £15-20 an hour labour if that...usually its a minimum of £80 labour at most independants and they will strecth the job out down here...if i didnt know better i would have spent well over grands on the zed instead of hundreds

i dont mind them but they are every where, in fact i see much more boxters on the road than zeds which is a big no no for me......but to me i hate paying extra for having a fancy badge on it (including the parts) so unless i was minted i would not get one and if i was id buy a Noble

cool looks good to me ian was it all ok when on skyline?,what pressures do i need?? mine on car is 0.9 bar i think not sure what putting a different pressure will do?? Whats the nismo one like alex in good condition??

yeah that undertray was doing my head in when you think right thats it...oh another bolt I can see why people dont do their own cos it does get messy and painful and is cold and if not great with engines is very confusing but for anyone with basic knowledge (which most have on here) its at least a £100 saving i reckon. Do it in the summer though I always did my own servicing on old cars but didnt take the chance first time round with the zed as didnt know it to well but after this forum and lots of reading Nissan can bog off with there P3

Just spent since 7.30 this morning doing my own winter check and servicing the car..new oil,filter,coolant,air filter..the belts (AC and other one)....discovered why my heating isnt working...dodgy rad cap...a must check for those that are experiencing heating problems!! Any one have any rad cap reccomedations?? Oil was awful and black everything else looked in good nick my mate helped me and was shocked what a good example of an import it was (except the scratched bonnet and dented door ) It wasnt as hard as i imagined i printed all the guides off here and could say only hard bit was finding all the bolts i put down from the undertray At least im not lining Nissans or random garages pockets with my hard earned cash anymore

im really confused with the dates although i appreciate after a certain year a car must have cats...my 1997 civic coupe had cats and one failed...therefore failing m.o.t this was in 2003 i swapped whole system and decatted it also, passed every year till 2007/8 were i only failed because they changed emission output and failed on that...not because i didnt have a cat! Threw my cat away couldnt find another so i bought a zed instead...but i wonder if you passed the emisions test and had no cat would you still fail??its unlikely now you would pass test but if you did?

As part of my job ive been doing a lot of travelling about lately...company says ok we will pay for your petrol with work related matters...great...(little did they know what car i drove) anyway sent in form thinking they will tell me to do one.....they signed it!! got a phone call today ...why did you rent a car to go to birmingham?? i explained it was mine and its clearly written on form and its been signed and approved..they were shocked i owned the car and a bit miffed why it cost £110 to go birmingham and back Looks like someone needs to read the forms first before filing Anyways too late now been approved so im set for a bit of petrol expenses for a year now

exactly i get a lot of people saying how nice my car is and try and prevent them from walking to the pssenger side but at the end of the day theres nothing wrong with the 3.5 v6 under the bonnet and thats all im interested in and matters really, this stuff happens i was so angry when i did mine but a year on im not too fussed it will get done and il be happier the day its all perfect again..drive on and just tell people you binned it in an underground drifting championships
