  13. nice work cold looks gleaming ive driven my zed everyday nearly since i bought havent battered an eyelid throughout the end of 2011 and the start of 2012 and havent seen my traction control light come on in over a year (i check it once a month just to make sure TCS is still working!!) larger wheels and decent tyres make a world of difference regardless of weather if not extreme..but washing is a pain, mines blade silver and now looks gunmetal I came to windsor on thurs actually when it was freezing and it flew down the m25
  14. got a pile of stuff waiting to get done i cant wait for warmer weather... Decats Vinyl the roof door handles/badges in black refurb and spray rotas black spray front bumper section fix the mahoosive dent in the door change the bonnet rear l.e.d's (not got these yet) some sort of carputer (have no idea on this one) sell all the stuff im not using
  15. hi mate ive got brand new n1 bumper and n1 side skirts for sale if your interested???
  16. +1 on the above i read somewhere its got to do with one wheel being stationary if both rear wheels are in motion its ok i think but garages dont test them like that. it can spin the diff backwards and then chew itself to pieces or if not will put unneccasary strain on the diff in the wrong direction so not good whatever way you look at it. the brake test fight is always a good one come m.o.t time
  17. "inappropriately repaired or modified components and electrical wiring" would my D1 spec get through that?? sounds like a busy job for mr m.o.t man checking all that out god knows how much a standard m.o.t will cost now
  18. you d be suprised how many dont get flagged up theres only two garages near me that still have tapely meter and one of them i wouldnt let work anywhere near my car but most are ready to fling a 350 on there regrdless i got in an argument with one place cause they were adement its fine to go on the rollers to OP once you sort some parts im sure if you ask around here someone can help change your discs and pads for you it really is a simple job then thats half of your prob sorted.
  19. i thought zeds arent meant to go on a rolling brake test because of the diff??and it spins it backwards??mine gets done with a tapely every year. my zed got m.o.t before i bought it it was done at nissan it got advisory for 'play in anti roll bar' ive had it done 4 times now and that has never come up again zmanalex and indepndant and job done
  20. Thought i would give SMD a run for his money wasnt prepared to pay near on £300 for a basic frame so me and my engineer wizard of a mate got to work with some alloy tubing this is stage one really and the basic inlay of the simulator im trying to build as my mate put it "elegantly finished in black" only to discover that its not finished yet Excuse the wiring and mess have still got to adjust seat!! dismantle pedals and fit independantly and mount to frame make then weld a triple monitor holder to front make and weld keyboard/desktop holder make a weld rear speaker stands figure out where to put all the wires few steering wheel mods add all the rumble and vibration stuff to seat/frame Ive only managed a half hour spell as a test at the moment and managed to set my fastest ever lap at melbourne It really is a different experience when you got the right kit and have good surround sound setup if i must say so myself im quite impressed with it glad i done this rather than get a ps3 or xbox except the seats slightly too low the steering wheels slightly to high and the pedals are slightly too far away will get it sorted though my gf said i seem to have brought my zed modding catastrophies into other genres now
  21. youve prob blown the resistors on the motherboard mine was doing the same so i just upgraded too there some bargains out there
  22. yeah ive done the same best you can move the chair bit around mine can screw in and then unscrew it and use it as an everyday chair..im also taking my pedals apart and reverse mounting them onto a frame so will be in spot on position yeah i dont own ps3 or xbox so mine does me fine..have you got rfactor game?? if not should get it can race ya online sometime..im not sure what other games we can race online though il get some pics of mine up in a bit and your right my mates got your wheel not as good though might be version before yours..but i played formula 1 2011 on it and you do wonder how the real drivers bloody manage to keep it in a straight line
  23. that looks awesome spurs those fanatec wheels are the nuts arent they!! i got a G25 with customised leo bodnar buttons Im in the middle of doing mine now having some problems mounting my cobra to the base but we welded together a frame and sprayed it quite a good job if i do say so myself..except till i can sit in it its useless
  24. if they decent garage and you get chummy with them prob hours labour 50-60 quid dependant on there hourly charge....im sure some can string the job out over few hours though!!!! but i had the same prob with my first exhaust and just asked my garage if they could run it on the ramp before or after hours to crack nuts for them its literally a 5-10min job as they have the access most you find arent to bothered to earn a drink in there pocket for that job..but thats just me i like doing the job myself can get cat back out on side of road in 30 minutes if you dont have tricky nuts!
  25. blow torch was the only way i got them off without sheering bolts, but i dont reccommend it unless your dangerous like me or can get the car very high up in the air...try leaving the car running for a bit and a bit of shock therapy with your foot with a smallish breaker bar (make sure the car is properly supported!!!! or pay your local garage a tenner to crack all the nuts for you then go home and do it yourself
