  1. Unless I'm missing something, the basic model is $57k , a basic 370Z is $28k or so . Nice motor though. Pete A 370z I saw was $64K .CAD Admittedly fully specced, but still the base Stingray would be better equipped. Yeah, I misread the basic price it's actually $52k and a fully loaded 370Z is $38k so not a big a difference as I first thought. It's also Considerably cheaper (and faster) than The Cayman S which is $63k. Pete

  3. It's a Hindu name for a male. Perez is a fairly common surname in France and Hispanic countries, stands for "son of Pedro" Pete
  4. Welcome along . I'm just "completing" my list after 6 and a half years . Pete
  5. I've certainly noticed that we're getting loads of members who are buying a Zed and within a few months are selling them, yes, they are relatively cheap to buy and have above average reliability but can be expensive if they go wrong. I had a healthy budget when I bought mine getting on for 7 years ago and I certainly did consider other cars. In the end though it was down to a TT or a 350Z but my dealing with the Audi dealer in Chester was pretty negative, long waiting list, baffling range of options, nothing off for cash and in general I took a dislike to the couldn't care less if I bought one or not from the salesman. I should also add that my wife had a brand new TT back in 2002 which had numerous electrical problems. So, I bought a Zed, got a pretty decent trade in and haven't regretted it for a minute. In fact, I liked it so much I bought my wife one . Pete
  6. Welcome to the forum. Pearl White's are very rare . Pete
  7. You'll get a fixed penalty notice once the police get your paperwork. £60, 3 points, costs only incur if you decide to go to court. Pete
  8. Pretty sure they're aftermarket rather than an option. Pete
  9. Probably, around here they only offer awareness courses for 10-12 mph over the limit. Pete
  10. tough little blighters to look after then, kittens ? Well, they can be very destructive and their toilet habits can leave a little to be desired at times . Pete
  11. After a few weeks reflection we decided to adopt a couple of kittens from a local sanctuary. These are lifted from the sanctuaries web page but they should be with us in a couple of weeks . Pete
  12. I can see this is getting serious now and yeah, I like it . Pete
  13. Does your plate start with 'OV' by any chance? There's a glut of Zeds (inc mine) starting with OV (Oxford registered) for some reason. My plate is OVxxOWU (xx=numbers) and there's a fellow forum member on here who lives within a couple of miles of me who is the same year and everything else on the plate but ZU so only a letter or so out. And we're no where near Oxford. S. U.K's largest Nissan dealership is in Oxford. I'd hazard a guess that they had easier access to The 350 in the early years when Zed's were hard to get hold of? Pete
  14. Different systems I'm afraid. Pete
  15. Geral Nabarro a Conservative MP owned NAB1 through to NAB 5 back in the early 70's. A rather colourful and controversial character he was brought down in a similar fashion to Chris Huhne when he claimed his secretary was driving his car the wrong way round a roundabout when in fact he was. Suffered 2 strokes during his trail and died shortly after aged 58. Pete

    Anyone got these?

They collect them I guess, much in the way they used to collect Pogs . Pete
  17. That was my first thought actually, although they have grown on me (slightly). The problem as I see it is that Sunset is a nice warm colour and it doesn't match a cold shade of blue. Pete

    Anyone got these?

Cheers Jonny, Caroline parks up in the council park by the Co-op, not that far away from where you park so it could have been the same gang anyway I've actually got a fistful of plastic caps so I'll be O.K until the locking caps arrive. Pete

    Anyone got these?

    Thanks guys . Pete
  20. Backwards entry it with proof it was deliberate and ill pay the tyre bill Wide rears are no problem, I had the MR2 transitioning on the lockstops at Anglesey a little while ago, and you cant drift an MR2 No handbrake on the Zed might make it a bit tricky mind you. I am DEFINITELY going to try and drift it though, rude not to As for speed comparisons, check this out: O.K, my original estimate, er, guess was obviously a bit out for the GT cars . Pete
  21. Someone has nicked Caroline's shiny dust caps so they need to be replaced. I'm looking at these to replace them, only a fiver but what's the quality like.? Any other decent locking ones to consider? Pretty sure they were whizzed from her workplace . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350z-350-Z-300ZX-370z-Tyre-Valve-Dust-Caps-/140623836738?pt=UK_Cars_parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_trims_Valve_Caps_ET&hash=item20bdd57642 Thanks, Pete
  22. I don't know how they now but under the system they had in use in the 70's they used to allocate dealers registration numbers in blocks so it was fairly common to see the next number plate to yours. I think it must be much more random these days. Pete
  23. It's actually illegal in 11 States and there are laws to restrict usage in nearly all the others. With 30,000 road deaths a year, compared to the 2,000 we have here I wouldn't take any report on road safety that comes out of The States seriously, they put peoples rights way above road safety, thus seat belt laws are not enforced and crash hats aren't compulsory in many States.
