I've heard from my brother, who is involved with the BMW M4 forum, that a lot of members report that on there the Titanium exhausts while feather light, don't sound as deep/loud as stainless steel ones? Is that true? I'd like to try a Titanium exhaust one day but they do cost a bomb!

I just got this installed today to replace my aging DDX-6029 unit. Have to say so far I'm really impressed, the amount of settings you can tweak is much more with the newer Kenwood. Does anyone have the same unit and what audio settings have you applied? I also have it connected to a KTC-D500E Freeview box and the digital radio channels sound amazing, especially my favourite BBC 1Xtra. Will test out how DVD movies sound and look too when I have more time to play with it this weekend.

Full cat back Milltek + Berk HFCs for me Love the quality, fitment, sound (very similar to the Nismo), and stylish look of the tips. Was a bit more expensive to other exhausts when I bought but I feel it was worth the money after several years of ownership! Reminds me I need to get the Autosol out as recently it could do with a polish, here it is when nice and clean:

I like to use my hands to 'feel' over parts of the body which you might suspect as being crashed/repaired, it may seem odd to the seller but who cares, it's your money your parting with! Check for any excessive creaks or rattles when driving, these can be a real pain to identify and fix sometimes.

Thanks guys I just thought I had to share this dream in particular, I don't often dream or remember my dreams! Funny thing is it feels so 'real' in the dream (I even remember a smile from the other racer as I crashed) and once I woke up I just sighed in relief. The other funny thing is that I drove the same road tonight and it was raining, thankfully no one was trying to race me and it was rush hour traffic, wouldn't want to tempt a bad dream into a premonition!

It's a bit of a weird thing, but last night I had a nightmare that I wrecked my zed! While I can't remember how I got to the point of the dream where I was driving the zed, I was driving on a familiar stretch of road which was very wet. I remember trying to race another car and on flooring it, the zed spun and flipped fantastically several times and ended up in a bus garage and me left gutted! The relief when I woke up and realised it was a nightmare! 😀

I always thought the zed stock steering wheel was nice but after driving my brothers M4 I wish it was a bit beefier.

Or you could ditch the nasty thing and save weight and make a deeper/bigger boot 😄

Milltek for me. Worth every penny, not sure many zed owners still have them.but 100% happy I have kept mine!
-
Probably betting some will go for it as it's a GT4. Could get a 370Z at that price!

Crikey 235/35/19 at the back, should be 275. Adding ESP off with that is a recipe for disaster. I am glad I now use Goodyear F1s as I have fishtailed like Jaws once before with Falken FK452s which was my lesson. Glad there were no injuries.
-
Nah mine's UK spec but thanks all the same. The EML is still on but still drives okay, except sometimes the ESP light will be off and then suddenly comes on. When it does the engine can sometimes cut out. Luckily it starts up okay. Will be seeing Sly in just over a week and can't wait to get to the bottom of it.

Not saying anything about performance comparisons but from a looks point of view 350Z wins hands down. The E46 M3 cars just look so ordinary, nothing really swoops or looks sexy. It's just a 2 door version of a saloon, E90 is much better but still common on the roads. M4 looks miles better than any M3.

Thanks guys, I noticed the esp off light comes on as well. Really should buy a reader but guess it can wait til the service. I recently switched to sainsbury petrol a few weeks back, not sure if that's related but just filled back to vpower nitro+ today.
-
Hi guys my EML came on yesterday and apart from starting the engine which takes a second or two longer than normal, there's no difference in drive. I'm due to take my zed for service at the beginning of next month but has anyone else had this?
-
Berk may be more expensive but the fitment is very good and it last for ages! I bought a 2nd hand pair over 4 years ago and they are still passing MOTs, have one coming up in a couple of months and I reckon it will pass again with a little warm up
-
There are plenty of videos on YouTube not all 350z but you will get an idea. After listening to a few I have decided lightweight flywheel is not for me as I don't like the chatter it makes. Some won't mind this though.

Are the Berk's for the DE model?

new buyer, seen one nissan fairlady with no service book should o buy?

Is the one you like from a dealer? It might help to get some warranty thrown in to just make sure nothing is about to go pop and ends up being expensive, These cars have bullet proof reliability (had mine 5 years next month and it's never failed me) but some will be thrashed to hell and others would have been looked after religiously! You'll deffo what a decent alarm if there isn't one so I think it's money well spent. -
Sorry you had to go through this, what a bitch.. Hopefully you won't have any bad luck after a long time after that lot

Has anyone changed their Alezan leather to a new colour by any of these clinic repair places? As much as I love the orange I am thinking about yellow being a nice colour change!

I'd say the manual would be better to most for a more involving driving experience, but your money so try to compare a few different zeds rather than going for the first one you like. How did you find it on test drive? If you don't like gear changing in traffic maybe the auto is ok. I considered an auto but ended up with the manual. -
It's not a mod I'd do as I find my rear wiper useful but a lot of people prefer the look of removing the rear wiper. Guide below in the link if you do decide it's something you'd want to do. Link: http://www.350z-uk.c...removal-delete/ I've thought the same thing, I've been on the motorway where it's pi$$ing down so much, I wonder how I would manage if there were no rear wiper! Not much weight saved, though I guess people like the cleaner look (although a wiper on the rear doesn't bother me at all). Anyway nice mods OP, it will keep going on year after year!
-
Well done, those ones are pretty much essential mods so never think of it as money wasted I'm waiting to get paid before finishing a few mods myself!

Nice work I'd be happy if I could get the carpet fitted as well as that. I've got the LEDs and getting some underlay soon, it may take awhile for me to finish it but when I do I will definitely put some pics up.
