Haha I like purple but not bold enough to ever buy a car in purple I would like to do the front as well with foot well lighting or door handles maybe. I'm just using the power amp as the power source and as I haven't carpeted it yet it was easy to ground to bare metal. Really cheap mod got the LEDs off eBay for a few quid. Most people with subs/amps in the rear should find it pretty easy. The hardest bit was getting the led strip to stick under the sub as it's carpeted. Some double sided tape sorted it out though. Also easy to experiment and can be removed just as easily as you put it in.

So I've been really wanting to add some style to my Zed and show off the subwoofer and power amp by adding a couple of led strips (one led strip under the sub in the boot and one led strip just behind the cubby holes). I've posted pics of without any lights first ad then with the LEDs, hope you enjoy the new pimped look

Hi Payco do you have a link for the lights, I'm particularly interested in the boot one. I have just put blue led lights in my interior now in the boot and subwoofer/power amp areas, so this would be a nice finishing touch.

Are they having a laugh..Why was it 6 miles away from the dealership when it crashed..? Love the quote.. "The dealership claims the car, which boasts a six-litre engine and a top speed of 180mph, was being driven 'legally and sensibly' when it spun off the road in bad weather". Haha I know I'm trying to figure out how the dealership said that with a straight face! Its so obviously been ragged and who ever was driving didn't have enough talent and skill to keep it on the road.

I heard awhile ago to avoid changing the windscreen (not specific to the 350Z) as normally the replacement screen is never quite the same. Things must have moved on, I may look into replacing mine n the future as there are a couple of chips that couldn't be repaired fully by Autoglass.

That green will certainly stand out, dark blue is probably my least favourite colour for a Zed as it just reminds me of the colour most german corporate executive cars come in (sky light blue I like though). I love my gun metal but wouldn't mind toying with austin yellow:

I used to have a Celica mk7 and before buying me Zed was thinking about the GT-86, but it took so long to come out and the lack of power meant I was glad I got a zed instead. People compalin about the 350Z not being that quick, imagine them in a GT-86.

Perhaps a lot of the public are still in a rage over the VW scandal and now hate VAG vehicles with a passion?

Impressive work so far Regarding software try to ditch Vista for Win7. Not sure what you mean by not powerful enough for Win7 as it will run almost anything and will give a smoother experience, Vista is much more resource hungry than Win 7.

Got the Eagle F1s on the rears, so much better traction and hardly ever wheel spin anymore. Can't wait until the FK452s on my fronts wear out so I can replace them as well.

Another vote for Focal here, be careful of the depth as when I fitted mine I could only get the 165 VRS to fit which are a bit shallower. Rockford Fosgate subs are awesome too. Nice set up mate, no holds barred! Did you have any issues getting Focals to fit in the rear? I only got the fronts done on mine as I fade out the rears mostly unless watching movies.

You could always get newer DAB equipped unit's if you're just interested in the audio, but they are pricey and the bit rates from DAB are lower than Freeview, although you will get more choice. I wasn't interested in DAB and there is plenty enough choice for my tastes on Freeview. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks dude, we have similar tastes in music! The Kenwood Freeview box I've had for awhile and I've always enjoyed having it in the zed as even a lot of TV programmes can just be listened to while driving, rather than having to watch it like live sports, Sky News etc. This is the one I have got, the KTC-D500E, there was a 600 version as well but I think Kenwood have stopped making them so you may need to find one second hand : So far I've been impressed with the DNX-7210BT as the navigation and GUI looks much prettier than the older Kenwood units and seems to have loads of features and functions which I'm still working through!

I've heard from my brother, who is involved with the BMW M4 forum, that a lot of members report that on there the Titanium exhausts while feather light, don't sound as deep/loud as stainless steel ones? Is that true? I'd like to try a Titanium exhaust one day but they do cost a bomb!

I just got this installed today to replace my aging DDX-6029 unit. Have to say so far I'm really impressed, the amount of settings you can tweak is much more with the newer Kenwood. Does anyone have the same unit and what audio settings have you applied? I also have it connected to a KTC-D500E Freeview box and the digital radio channels sound amazing, especially my favourite BBC 1Xtra. Will test out how DVD movies sound and look too when I have more time to play with it this weekend.
