  1. I noticed there's a superlite Dynamat as well, I may look into that and I only need a sheet or two. To be honest I might just leave the deadening all together as a thick enough carpet will soak up any high frequency noise road noise anyway and my zed is pretty quiet in the cabin generally, it's just because it's bare at the moment so the acoustics is more reflective. I went to Dynamic Sounds today and will be getting the interior LEDs put in next weekend, should be easy enough to wire to my power amp. Just need to decide on the colour? I think either lilac or blue - can't wait as this will be a mod after a very long time and think it will look pretty cool!
  2. Rota alloys are great and I've been happy with mine, make sure you post some pics when they're fitted!
  3. Okay thanks I don't want it to be visible so will look into the number plate area if I get it done.
  4. Has anyone used any Dynamat products in their boot, I may use some if it's any good? Also would really like to know if anyone has installed neon style LED interior lights as I fancy a cool glow in the boot area once I do the carpet install.
  5. Maybe it was an emergency... Needed to get to a hospital or the like quickly Somehow I very much doubt it. There was plenty of opportunities to overtake me if there was an emergency on the speed bump road as I wasn't going fast and no traffic, just me and him. I would expect someone to put there beams on if it were an emergency, but he just wanted to stick to me. Also his hatch back piece of @*!# looked so untastefully modded it just seem like another boy racer.
  6. This happened to me literally tonight when I was driving back from my sisters! I noticed some fool come right up my rear view and he would then drop back quite a long way and speed up back right on my tail. As the road I was on had so many speed bumps I just kept at 30 mph but then we came towards some traffic lights where it also goes into two lanes and it went red, I was praying he'd stop at the reds so I could lick from the lights as there was clear straight road with no speed bumps and he was in a much lesser car, but he just jumped the red light . Strangely he put on his hazards after he jumped the red, like almost to say sorry for his complete **** driving! Maybe he felt bad
  7. Only problem with the rear view camera is where do you put it without it being too noticeable, does Amy have a 350Z and where is it placed? I’m actually the same, like to keep the car looking OEM looking and svelte. But when I first picked up my zed almost 5 years ago I just couldn’t bear that horrid stock head unit, that had to go quick time! All of the Kenwood stuff I just took out of my previous car (Toyota Celica VVTI) so I had those before I even owned the Zed. Unfortunately I have to admit I was lazy and didn’t want to **** anything up with my new Zed so I just went to my local ICE installer, Dynamic Sounds, to fit it all in as it was pretty cheap and I have to say that they done a stellar job. I’m quite embarrassed to say they done such a good job of hiding the little boxes (Hard Disk SAT NAV, Freeview Tuner and Bluetooth kit) I don’t know where they actually are now! It’s somewhere underneath the driver or passenger carpet, but when I tried to feel for it recently I couldn’t detect anything! After that I got the sub enclosure with 2x Rockford Fosgate P1s which I picked up luckily off eBay for stupid money, but that really makes a massive difference. Last thing I done was change the front speakers to Focal Polyglass 165 VRS (bought and installed by Dynamic Sounds) and that too made a massive difference, I stopped there in terms of ICE. Performance mods are in my sig and I couldn’t be happier with both types of modding, both inside and out!
  8. I think it's too much and the zed doesn't look right with anything other than a twin exhaust!
  9. Watched plenty of films on it, but you don't have to watch a full film just the same way you don't have to listen to a full album when you get in your car. It's wired so the screen functions on the move, also the Freeview box is useful for watching or just listening to whatever you fancy, Sky News, the footie, eastenders etc. Passengers certainly love it. Also you get digital radio on freeview in higher bit rates than Dab so that's nice too. You could certainly hook up a console probably if you desired, I was thinking of integrating a rear view camera maybe next.
  10. It's coming up to summertime so the Zed will increase in value a little to some dealers.
  11. Quite a lot actually. It's the biggest you can fit into a Zed and as you sit very close to it it's 'big' Would you call a Galaxy Note screen small? That's only 5.7" but as you have it in your hands, well you get the point. The quality of the sound system obviously complements it.
  12. Milltek for me was the best looking and I love the tone of it, very similar to the Nismo exhaust. Fitment is one of the best too, worth the price in my opinion just pure quality. Doesn't drone either, love it!
  13. What's not to like about ICE??! I have a nice big 7" Kenwood DVD Monitor screen perfect for watching DVDs and even Freeview TV when I want, almost like having a home cinema set up in your car
  14. Nice and honest, could save someone some heart ache, respect!

Agreed they look hideous! Amazes me how some people completely ruin a beautiful looking car.
  16. Sorry no chance!! It's probably one of the best spent money mods I've done and could never be without a sub. I'm a complete audio nut.
  17. Not sure about leather as I don't want it too shiny or to crack - I was also thinking of fitting some interior LEDs to it as well somehow to make it look a bit like some of the ICED cars in The Fast and the Furious! Any recommendations for the sound deadening material? To be honest it isn't that noisy, just perhaps when the roads wet or when it rains there's slightly more high frequency noise with the stereo off!
  18. True will any thing cheap just do the job or is there something more premium I can try to cut maybe reduce the noise?
  19. Hi guys I've had a custom sub and taken out the spare wheel (to make the boot deeper/bigger as well as weight saving) from awhile back but now I've thought of ideas of dressing the bare boot floor to complete the look. Any ideas for this either DIY or done professionally? Was thinking that as well as making it look complete it will cut out a slight bit of high frequency noise from the rear?
  20. Done Channel Tunnel many times and yes the tracks are tight with low profile tyres, wish they made the tracks just a little wider as I don't even thing the Zed is a very wide car.
  21. Yup I really like the difference it has made already and I think the Goodyear Eagle F1s are something or a bargain now! They seem quieter too compared to the FK452s. Winner all round.
  22. When I had my UpRev remap done at Abbey I think it felt better especially in the lower to mid rev range after fitting a full Milltek exhaust system, Berk HFCs, MotorDyne plenum spacer (better low down torque), and HKS panel filter. Also remember that changing the full exhaust system together with HFCs (feather light) offers a substantial weight saving which no-one has mentioned so I'm sure it is slightly faster to 60. Not cheap as a whole but worth it in my opinion.
  23. Well I went for Good Year Eagle F1s in the end and cost £320 for a rear 19" pair from Oponeo. Can already fee the extra grip compared to the FK452s! I really want to change the fronts to the same but there's still some life left in the fronts yet so that will be done later in the year.
  24. I'd say aftermarket exhaust and 19" alloys are equally desirable. Just bear in mind though the exhaust will most likely need an UpRev remap and High Flow Cats to get the best from it, so as a one off mod the alloys might be the better choice to go for first. 19" fill the wheel arches perfectly and the extra wide of rubber (275 rear and 245 front) will give much better traction and grip
