  1. Great that’s kind of what I thought, thanks Chris for confirming. I am hoping after the remap then my modding illness will stop and my wallet will recover
  2. Hi Mark I am looking forward to my booking on the 23rd June but just had a question regarding the before and after dyno run. Am I correct in thinking the before run would be all mods + standard remap and after run would be all mods + UpRev remap? I usually use V-Power (98 RON), should I bring my car with half tank of this or a 99 RON alternative? Thanks
  3. Sorry fellas beat you to the Berks Thanks to Chris for allowing me to pick them up yesterday and good to finally meet someone of the forums.
  4. I recently got a stainless exhaust so this is surplus to my requirements. May be useful to someone out there, no issues at all when on my car like rattles leaks etc. Good condition generally for age (from an 04 UK 350Z). Would prefer to sell all 3 pieces (back box, Y-pipe, mid pipe) together but willing to split. Collection from London prefered but could post also at extra cost. £140 for the lot or £100 back box, £50 Y-pipe and £25 mid pipe.
  5. I use Dynamic Sounds in Garratt Lane, Wandsworth (SW London), good place.
  6. Hi there, I have a full OEM cat back exahaust available from an 04 UK Coupe in excellent condition. I will be advertising it in the For Sale forum shortly, would prefer to sell as a package but will split also.
  7. Hey Tarmac, I already contacted you earlier in the month regarding the Berks after my Exhaust was fitted, any chance of another group buy, pay day is just around the corner?

    Rota GTRs

Those look very I like the classic Japanese look. How much for the set if you don't mind me asking? Why didn't you go for 19x9 on the fronts?
  9. Let us know how you get on with fitting the Focal 165VR3 in the front, having changed my speakers today I found it a tight fit for almost all the speakers I had planned to use. I didn't bother changing the rears. The Focal 165VRS Slim Fit were the only Focals that would fit the front, taking into account the window, but this was a bit out of my price range at around £220 (and with other mods on the horizon) so I ended up fitting some cheaper Alpines on (SXE-1750S). So out of the whole store those are the only two front speakers that would fit and we did consider quite a few brands/models. The Alpines fit well and surprisingly sound pretty good too for the price. Crossed over at 60Hz and fading the rears completely out, the sound is definitely more hifi than before with the awful OEM flimsy clarion speakers. Maybe tempted to spend more on the fronts in the future when I can change the OEM wiring as well, then the outlay is more worth it.
  10. Hi guys, I am wanting to change the speakers in my Z but needed some advice. Shall I just upgrade the front speakers only and leave (or even disconnect, although can't I just use the fade function to put just the front speakers) the rears? I do have a sub as per my signature but may actually get rid of the sub in a bid to reduce weight and space, and just go with some high quality front spearkers, anyone done this before. I do listen to a few DVDs so will it be good to leave the rears in there for surround type of effects for DVDs movies etc? My shortlist is: Pioneer TS-E170Ci - 17cm Separate 2-Way Speaker System (260W) •Maximum output power 260 Watt •Nominal output power 60 Watt •Impedance 4O •Frequency response 30 - 33,0000 Hz •Sensitivity (1W/1m) 88 dB •Woofer size (cm) 17 cm •Tweeter size (mm) 28,0 mm •Network LPF/HPF:-12/-12dB •Magnets Neodymium magnet £100 Pioneer TS-A171Ci - Accelerate Series 6.5 inch, 17cm Component Car Speakers 350W •6.5" (17cm) Component Speakers •Maximum input power 350 W •Nominal input power 50 W •Impedance 4 Ohms •Frequency response 29 - 29,000 Hz •Sensitivity (1W/1m) 90 dB •Woofer size 16 cm •Woofer material Carbon Graphite IMPP Interlaced Aramid Fiber Cone •Tweeter size (mm) 20,0 mm •Cut-out Hole 128 mm •Mounting Depth 54,3 mm £90 Focal Polyglass 165VB 16.5cm Component Car Speakers 140W •2-way 6.5" component speakers •Polyglass woofer with butyl rubber surround •TNB Aluminum/Magnesium inverted dome tweeter •Non-resonant ABS/glass fibre basket •Outboard crossover with 3-level tweeter control (-3, 0, +3 dB) •Grilles included •70 watts RMS power •140 watts peak •Frequency response: 60-28,000 Hz •Sensitivity: 93 dB •Mounting depth: 65mm (2-9/16") £128 Noticed that the Pioneers frequency response seem much lower than it's rivals, any views on how good they are?
  11. 34 over here does that make me old? Choose Milltek mainly cos it was the best looking and didn't fancy mixing matching y-pipes etc so seemed a neat choice. Decent bore size throughput. Planning to add Berk HFC sometime but happy with the sound tone immediately
  12. Welcome to the Miltek Clan I would keep you old one if you have the space...... if you ever sell the car you will get more for the miltek I clean the tips with Autosol when I clean the car, only takes 5 minutes. If you do a bumper tuck then you will need to do the back box as well. Thanks DoggyRev, I'm enjoying the zorst! I guess it might be an idea to keep hold of the stock one but been asked by a member maybe to sell, so may be tempted to sell depending on the value. I'll be getting some Autosol soon! Cheers Dean
  13. Big thanks guys, am proud to be part of the crew! I never used to notice the OEM exhaust too much before when looking at the rear of the car (probably also because they were sooty as hell) but now it sticks out quite nicely:D I'm sure they'll be new followers sometime, I think the exhaust is worth the dosh and I was put off with rusting issues with cheaper exhausts etc Also just a few other questions: 1. How much can I expect to get for selling my OEM cat back exhaust (with Y and mid Pipe). Am I gonna struggle to sell it on here or eBay? 2. How often do you need to clean Stainless steel exhausts usually to keep it gleaming? I'm thinking (or hoping) just a couple of times a year? Cheerio
  14. Thanks fellas for all your input, found a lot of useful info looking around on here. So over the bank holiday weekend I finally got the exhaust fitted. The AMD staff were very helpful and it was done pretty quickly (just under an hour and a half), I am well impressed with this exhaust which has a lovely low and deep tone when you first switch the ignition key . I found the exhaust to be louder than stock which I didn't mind at all given it's a nice noise, especially above 4k. Here are a few quick piccies: The sound and performance is noticably better than stock so next on the list will be the Berk HFCs, even the AMD team agreed this would free up the flow more and get the most from the exhaust legally, so that will be my next plan early next month!
  15. That's just what I'm after mate, been torn between different exhausts for awhile now! I just don't wanna do a remap and decide later I should have gone HFCs also! Cheers for the advice
  16. Thanks Nelip I want the same loudness as OEM but with a more sporty tone, spent too much on ICE to have it droned out Are the berks relatively easy to install? Power is the main goal.
  17. Hi guys I am getting the Milltek exhaust system installed on Saturday by AMD, this includes the Y piece and centre piece. I love the meteor tips and think performance wise they are pretty good with a decent 3" pipe bore throughout. I'll be getting a remap a few weeks later, so I was just thinking will a HFC like the Berk be worth bolting on (performce/sound wise) before the uprev remap?
  18. Thanks for the advice guys, seems like a lot of manufacturer kits boast between 5-10 boost to HP so I guess this can be taken with a punch of salt! I will see if I can source an 06+ intake from the traders mentioned on here, hopefully that would save me some cheddar.
  19. 06+ Stock intake it is then, will try and get a quote from a dealer sometime.
  20. I had a HKS Racing Suction until recently. My honest opinion is that it looks awesome and sounds even better than it looks. BUT, when I got on a dyno and compared it to the stock (06+) intake I found it was losing me about 4hp consistently through the rev range so I ended up going back to stock. 4hp isn't much in the grand sceme of things, but for me, it's 4hp I don't want to pay good money to loose! Okay cheers for that info, I am surprised it lost you 4hp, maybe there was a problem with the installation. I think I would do the same, you don't expect to lose power with a HKS part usually! I like the HKS but now I am thinking maybe K&N typhoon, pop charger or the stock 06+ intake.
  21. Actually I did do a search but as a lot of the discussions are probably a few months out of date, I purposely asked this again for an up to date answer! (not so unreasonable?). In particular for example the HKS suction kit, there is not much info. But thanks I'll look into the ARC box or 06+ box with panel filter.
  22. I'm also after an induction kit or some sort, got a completely stock 04 350Z and was either considering (I can spend a bit more than a standard pop charger) 1. K&N 57i gen II in duction kit or 2. HKS Racing Suction Kit .. would apprecite feedback from anyone who has used these before or any suggestions?
