  1. Properly long shot , but does anyone on here happen to have some sort of low loader to trailer a low car that is willing to take my car to Kings Langley? Obviously I can pay for your time and petrol? Thanks
  2. your valve may be louder than a k1 or BC, but having a valve come off so far down the exhaust, it has no mufflers to make that loud noise actually sound nice.
  3. Louder than a K1? I didnt think it was, and I went from a K1 straight to a BC
  4. Car was put onto its axle stands today, not going anywhere for a while so why not. Bled the entire system with 2 hoses, bled both bleed nipples on a caliper at once. I did it in the specified order, bled over 500ml per caliper. No air came out that I could see. I did it with the engine running. Surprise surprise, still shite. I'm getting told all sorts, asb needs to be engaged, I need to back bleed it. I have had enough, cant fix it, cant get it to a garage. I've lost all patiences with it.
  5. I have heard try bleeding with the engine on. Would that help get rid of air trapped in the abs pipes? So: - Engine On - Bleed Outer NSR Niplpe - Bleed Inner NSR Nipple - Bleed Outer OSF Nipple - Bleed Inner OSF Nipple - Bleed Outer OSR Nipple - Bleed Inner OSR Nipple - Bleed Outer NSF Nipple - Bleed Inner NSF Nipple
  6. I have: - bled it all at least 4 times using a bleed kit with clear pipe. - No air has come through for the past 2 long bleeds. - I am doing NSR, OSR, NSF, OSF, however I now know it should be NSR, OSF, OSR, NSF but would that make that much of an issue? - I am doing one caliper at a time, bleeding the rear bleed nipple on the caliper then the front nipple. Being that I let the system drain bone dry, could this not be air trapped in the master cylinder or asb?
  7. had all the leaking this that and the other, seems to be sealed now, when I pump the pedal with the car off, the pedal goes hard and stays there, doesn't seem to sink. How the hell do you get air out an abs unit? Christ almighty, just want this finished so I can have my car back. Cant even drive it to a bloody garage.
  8. What happens if you get air in the master cylinder? Why does a simple bleed not remove whatever air got into the master cylinder. I have bled several liters through the system already!
  9. I removed all 4 calipers off my car to refurb them, fitted them back on recently. The system completely drained out the fluid when the calipers were off. So I filled up I have bled them several times, probably had about 3.5 litres of fluid pass through. But the brake pedal is still really really soft. As in I drive it up the road and it doesn't even have enough pressure to rub the surface rust off the discs. When the car is turned off, after a couple of pumps of the pedal it does go hard, but when the car is started the brake feels soft. Then driving it is just a no no. Could this just be air still in the damn system, or can it be a possible 'flipped seal' or air in the master cylinder, how can I tell what it is? Any help hugely appreciated, I'm at my wits end with this one.
  10. Doubt it would do that much, after all the oem backbox is bloody massive and could probably silence a 747.
  11. Let alone the fact that spoiler covers up seeing the rear lights
  12. So these brakes have been a nightmare. Since the last post, I fit them, tried bleeding them, got it good enough to drive, went round the block and upon arriving back the passenger side was billowing out smoke, one of the pistons was sticking. So I decided to do things properly. - All 4 brakes off - Completely striped, seals, bolts everything. - Sand blasted - Powder coated - Rebuilt with new fluid and dust seals, new bleed nipples etc etc Thought I'd get my spacers powder coated while i was at it. £30 for all the spacers and calipers to be powdered Fit them onto the car, bled them again. Pumped the brake a few times to pressurize the system, and some of the bleed nipples were leaking out the threads. Tightened them, still leaked, tightened a little more and one went pop. F**K! Luckily it was the caliper I had a spare of. Few talks with the experts has made me think it is the new bleed nipples. the OE ones are tapered with a slight flat bottom, the new ones were slightly longer, tapered with a flat bottom and a very very small nib on the end. I have swapped the bleed nipples back over to the old ones. Just need to try bleeding the system again. Hopefully this works, otherwise I may just give up.
  13. 2000-3000 revs for a rasp sounds about right to me, mine does it at those revs. As for the bracket on the decats, most half decent decats should have brackets to fix them to the car.
  14. Yep, i mean completely drained, the car sat on the drive for a week with no calipers and a bottle collecting fluid on each corner. I bought new bleed nipples all round, and from my investigations today that seems to be the problem, the oe bleed nipples have a flat bottom on the end of the cone. The new ones had a very very small nib on the end, I think (fingers crossed thats the issue)
  15. I've actually tried bleeding it with 2 people. the pedal stayed insanely spongy, completely drained, re filled and bled yet still spongy as hell, and when you push the pedal hard fluid drips out the bleed nipples. (not good) But without bleeding it enough to drive I can't even get it done at a garage. Be okay if the bleed nipples would just seal. Cross threaded a caliper yesterday, luckily I had a spare.
  16. I am having a nightmare bleeding my brakes. I had the calipers sand blasted and powder coated, but cant seem to bleed them properly, also the bleed nipples don't want to seal properly so under high pressure it seeps out through the threads. I put this down to debris in the line stopping it from sealing, So it needs a thorough bleeding. Anyone an expert in these matters or has a pressure bleed kit?
  17. I spotted 2 GM 350z in Xscape car park parked next to each other, 07 convertible and I think a 54 coupe which had some orange stickers on it. Anyone off here?
  18. you don't need a reader, you can do an ecu reset and find out cel codes by doing a throttle sequence. Search ecu reset on here
  19. I'm just messing. That does look awesome
  20. You spent all that money on a body kit but didn't buy any spacers
  21. I've not had any compliments on mine in a while. I must be hanging around in the wrong places.
  22. I agree about not trying to get the money for the sake of it, my personal circumstance is I did not agree to it, so purely wanted to check if they slapped it on anyway. Surely if they are not willing to send my details to me then they have something to hide. I would like to know what. The women who was dealing with my loan was very persistent about additional insurances but I had to repeatedly say no thankyou. All this makes me think she just hit yes for the sake of a sale without me knowing. I just want to know if that's true or not. I think Claiming back PPI is a minefield let alone understanding all the T&C's on insurance.
  23. Always one flash git isn't there That would bug me, the switches are not all in line properly.
  24. I tried the first step of the guide a while back, I sent a letter requesting the information about my accounts as I cannot remember if I had PPI, I don't think I asked for it, but they may have added it anyway. I even sent the £1 cheque they would charge as Money expert advised. My bank sent back the cheque and said, "our records show all accounts are completed. (as in i have paid my loans off) so we have no obligation to supply this information" Hmmm. So can just go into my bank and ask for it there and then? If they want to play silly buggers with me, that just makes me want to **** them off even more.
