  1. if its a Peterborough show ground the weather doesnt matter too much, as I'd have said a large percentage of the show would be indoors. No excuses
  2. cheers guys was a cracking car to work on. I forgot to say that the owner had taken the fuse out that controls the active exhaust thingy, when you revved it it sounded flipping amazing! No V12 but still incredible
  3. along, what plans do you have once you have the 350z?
  4. So many people on here that like to keep there car clean that I'm surprised no one will be going.
  5. The jack I use is a Blue Point low profile jack.

  7. Just thought I'd see who else is coming down to Waxstock on the 26th August. If you have not heard of it before, it is the first show dedicated to car cleaning and detailing. Its being held in Peterborough late August. http://www.waxstock.com/
  8. hmmmm If it is a re post I apologise, thought I hadn't posted it here before.
  9. I'm pretty sure I've never posted this on here. I thought I had only ever posted it on Stuttgart 9. Do any of you guys go on that forum? The link to the write up on their site is: http://www.stuttgart9.co.uk/forum/car-detailing/6567-v8-vantage-detail.html
  10. its on another forum called Stuttgart 9, I don't think I posted it on here before though. I did the car a couple of months ago yes.
  11. Import. Cat D. A 350z for £3999 isn't a good sign sell sell sell
  12. take the roof rack off, and a rusty style beetle can look good, but mainly old american cars are the only ones that pull it off. They need to be old enough to look like they may have aged like that naturally.
  13. You mean the rat look. Thats just rust.
  14. Thank guys Been a couple of months since I did a detail so was looking forward to this one. I knew the owner was extremely picky so had to work hard for him to approve.
  15. Just a quick write up of a detail I recently did. This time an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. It has been in and out of body shops and so on for a while now, trying to get it looking like new. Now the paintwork was done, this was where I stepped in. I won't bore you all with a long write up like you read everyday from other sites. A quick run down: - Washed (2BM with 2 Lambswool mitts) - Dried - Clayed using Sonus Green and Meguires LT (1:1) - Dried - Wheels clayed with Meguires Clay - Wheels were cleaned and treated off the car - 3M Blue Tape for taping up - Polishes used were Menzerna Power Finish on a 3M Black Pad, then 3M Ultrafina SE on 3M Blue Ultrafina Pad for finishing - Wax was Dodo Juice Supernatural I've no doubt missed loads of steps out but its a brief overview none the less. And a few pictures just to show you my long days work. Crazy marks on the rear quarter: After the mild cut phase: Few random before shots: 50/50 after the first cut pass. Shows the extra deepness the paint gets even at this phase. Wheels Off to do wheels and suspension etc Mid Process: Biggest let down on the car, the key... Its literally a Ford! Few shots from after finishing and before waxing. Just a few finished pictures, not in great light, but it looks good anyway. Haha There are no inside shots as I only concentrated on the outside of the car on this one. He wanted all the attention spent on the paintwork. A good 14 hours of machine involved in this one. And lastly a quick walk around video for good measure.
  16. Thanks it doesn't look that low there but that was at a stanceworks meet of all places and I scraped going into the venue! no one else did...
  17. Not another thread being turned into a "I hate stanced cars" onslaught, who gives a damn, you build the your car for you not for everyone else. I have stanced my 350z up a bit because why not? I still get enough traction for how I drive, not all of us want to drive hell for leather making tyres squeal to within an inch of their life. Anyway, back on topic. Good page, thanks for sharing, liked.
  18. I was driving in Milton Keynes yesterday when another Gunmetal 350z turned round the roundabout in front of me, had black alloys with polished/chrome lip. Couldn't see much else done to it. The number plate i think was trying to spell something along the lines of Tony. It was about 8pm Sunday evening, anyone off here?
  19. Mine has a Buddyclub Pro Spec III cat back system with decats if you did wanna hear it.
  20. Im in Flitwick, If you dont want a drone type exhaust then you don't want to be hearing mine
  21. To be honest if you talk of Falken's 'letting go' you shouldn't be pushing a car too hard on public roads anyway, you're more than likely breaking a speed limit to do so. If you track a car that's different, but day to day driving should be more about stopping distances, water displacement and enough grip to take you to 70 and around some corners at lower speeds.
  22. How did you get 2011 maps on yours? I thought you were stuck with the year you got :o
