  1. that wont handle very well. His tyres the wrong way round... As for the picture. Just looks like a mini in front of a wall taken with a good camera. Can anyone explain exactly what editing has been done?
  2. I like the pink CE28's. I will agree, US do things differently and go a lot more aggressive. Their roads must be pretty good to run them that low. Not that I can talk, I have a text book version of the US setup. I will admit its not the most convenient nor can I go anywhere near any speed bump.
  3. Looks cracking! However the only issue I see with custom exhausts like this is the fact it has been put together bit by bit, i.e that silencer at the front as it fits there, with those tips, and that size pipe and a silencer at the back etc etc. These companies that make exhausts for "off the shelf" like Amuse, Buddyclub and so on, I assume have done testing to acheive decent flow rates before they produce them?
  4. Obviously I am the only one that likes it then...
  5. They would make fitting cheaper if you buy from them as they get some profit in the tyres. If you take your own they need to make something to make it worth while. Fitting is quite labour intensive after all. £60 to jack up, remove wheel, remove tyre, dispose of old tyre (£1-£2 + VAT for most places), fit new tyre, clean wheel for weights, balance, bolt on car, lower, torque bolts give a wipe over. Repeat 4 times. Its not that expensive to be fair. Especially when a lot of cars nowadays have pain in the back side runflats or thin side walls. Steels with balloon tyres are quicker, but alloys and thin tyres can take a fair bit longer. Try removing a 265/25/22 off an expensive wheel without marking it. It takes time and skill. lol
  6. Just use hub adaptors. Simple.
  7. I use Camskills and fit them myself. Camskills are hard to beat when it comes to Falkens. Even trade prices cant usually beat them.
  8. They didnt say too much to be honest, I arrived late to the meet point so didnt stand around and chat long. Drove to the Cotswolds. Then got there had lunch chatted a bit and left. Comments I did were "you're the guy who got stuck and was wheel spinning getting over the speed bumps at the services" and "that sounded nice when you flew past"
  9. Its a forum for people who enjoy cars, regardless of if they cost £100,000 or £7000. They are far from stuck up like most would expect. Was a good day. Even overtook a few of them on the way there
  10. do you need 5 people to buy de cats for me to get them at that price or is it 5 over the HFC and Decats?
  11. Just a quick random thread to show you last weekends antics, I am on another forum and they had a day out driving to the Cotswolds for lunch. (for me 300 mile round trip, about the same for most of us to be fair as we are all local to each other) The meet was on the Sunday, so on Saturday I thought I'd get my car in reasonable condition after the miserable winter. So out came not 1 but 2 polishers of mine. (saves swapping pads etc etc) Not going to write a long thread on detailing a 350z, I've done that before. So few pictures of random taped up stuff Then put the Varrstoens back on after I took them off for the cars trip to the body shop recently. Wheels all cleaned, prepared and waxed. 50/50 shot but not as you know it I got bored after the polishing and waxing so wire wool, microfibres and metal polish to clean the exhausts with, I even removed the staining on the pipe work between the cans haha. The I for whatever reason decided to take the throttle body off and clean that up, (long overdue job) Throttle position reset, ECU reset and so on done afterwards. I then left it in the unit overnight as to not get dirty. Sunday: onto the meet, I met up at the M40 services etc etc and went to the Gumstool Inn somewhere in the Cotswolds, was a 'spirited drive' shall we say. Few pictures and some lunch later and off we went, some very nice cars that I could only dream of.
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TPI-alloy-whe ... 1962wt_702 Forget it says for Subaru its just to just a listing name, probably one further down that says Nissan. They are 12x1.25 taper for Nissans, Steel nuts so hard wearing, can choose the colour finish. They are spot on, I should know, they are from my work and I run them on my car
  13. Do you have them fitted now? what does it sound like?
  14. nope but I live around there. I'm just 5 minutes away in Flitwick. I have a rather low gunmetal 350z
  15. I actually inquired about a new bracket for this kit as i was interested. HKS Japan currently have 1 ex demo bracket for the Version 1 kit, if you buy it from HKS Europe (UK) they can get you it for £150 plus VAT and shipping. A new version 2 bracket will cost £400 plus VAT and shipping...
  16. what I meant was from my understanding is it has had modifications to allow it to fit an 06+ car, so surely the 03-06 bolt holes etc are still intact and good. What is the controversial issue with this bracket anyway? Sorry to ask the questions but I want to understand it before I consider it.
  17. Very tempted, I have a (53) 2004 so have no need to use the modified part of the bracket (i think?). Hmmmm. Can anyone see any additional items I'd need if I got this?
  18. hmmm just looked it up myself. I shall be having words
  19. Just read the first page of this and noticed a lot of you take the car off the road then tax and mot it when you're read to use it again. I did the same recently for a short spell. But did you know if you SORN a car and the MOT runs out while its off the road, you are not allowed to drive the car to the MOT station. The car is not for driving on public road if SORN until it is re taxed regardless of where you are taking it. Luckily I had a week left on mine so could re tax it on-line then go MOT it. I never knew this until I spoke in quite some detail about it with my MOT inspector. If it needs an MOT and is SORN you need to trailer it to the test centre.
  20. Its not a big issue, the exhaust hasn't moved, its been broken for a while i think, as that was the random clanging noise i got for a while now. lol. So I can still drive it. I'll get it fixed at some point, just thought id show you lot really. I've sent BC a quick email. Their warranty is 12 months after looking into it, so doubt they will say much, but its worth letting them know and seeing how good there customer service is.
  21. I can get it welded back on, that's not the issue (except finding somewhere to do it with a flat access and flat ramp). My problem is why should I have to pay out my own pocket to fix a problem like this that shouldn't have happened and looks to me like a manufacturing defect. But the exhaust in general is awesome, lovely welds on the pipe work, its just the brackets and hangers that seem to be poorly chucked together.
  22. The bracket was rotated 180 degrees to show it was detached, it sits right next to the exhaust and rattles when turned around correctly. When it was fitted there was zero tension. End of the day its a weld, a weld should be bloody strong, looking at the weld on the bracket, barely any engaged with the exhaust pipe.
  23. when I fitted it, it all lined up pretty nicely unlike the Japspeed *!?* I had before. It all moved nicely and freely, no tension anywhere, rubber mount it was on is in tact and fine. I think its a manufacturing issue myself.
