  1. You're telling me you now have this and the metal one in the same window? mismatched is never cool.
  2. I've heard of them, IIRC they make/sell a splitter & side skirt kit for the 350z.
  3. Falken's are a medium/budget priced tyre. So you will get a medium/budget quality tyre in return for your cash. However for the money I think they are very good. Maybe they cant compete grip/wet/stopping distances wise compared to something like a Michelin PS3 but then again you are only paying half the price. Falken's are a harder compound and for me that's great as they are hard wearing.
  4. I get what you mean Stew, Yes I know the type.
  5. How can people be a 'fly by' detailer. I detail some pretty fancy cars on a regular basis, but when I was starting out I had to be cheap to get work. I worked on my skills for over a year before doing a paid job. Everyone has to start out somewhere. (your comment about DA's though are true, if you want to be a professional, I say get onto the rotary asap)
  6. I replaced the fronts on mine just this weekend. Wonder what the stance world will think as the 452 is the clear favorite out there. If anyone is interested in the construction of a 452 I had to cut mine off the wheel.
  7. My car locked itself. With the key on the seat! Lucky I was at home and grabbed the spare, sorry to hijack but anyone know why some say they have and some dont?
  8. its not just this guy, almost all after market kits i've seen on 350z's have been not up to my standard. That's why I would rather stick with OEM.
  9. Don't actually know. My coil over on the rear are as low as they go. No adjusters fitted lol I'd like to say around 70mm or so but I need someone to measure their standard ride height ground to arch for me to compare.
  10. White 350z with a red pearl and black or dark gunmetal rays spotted at Bicester today. Anyone off of here?
  11. Welcome. I'm only up the road in the Flitwick
  12. i fit some to my buddyclub system yesterday. It will make it louder, and probably give it a bit of a raspy sound. The tone changed on mine too. Its a lot lower pitched than it was before. rumbles rather than screams
  13. grab a before and after vid. I thought that yesterday. may see if i can grab some cheap silenced ones down the line if it helps the problem.
  14. I dont need to live with it day to day, its the weekend toy. Surely there is no way on earth would this set up be under track db levels.
  15. Ummmm. Loud seems to not quite cut it when describing it. I am not sure yet whether I like it or not. It doesn't have that same sound the Buddyclub used to have. I may have to try the bungs in and see if that changes the sound at all. The loudness doesnt bother me, i'm used to loud cars, just the tone and sound I am unsure of right now. Has anyone else got the setup? If so what do you think of it?
  16. hey, Cossies are good at pulling caravans!
  17. Buddyclub is awesome. fit was great, i am picky with fitment but you couldnt ask for better. however, i have had the middle section bracket snap clean off the pipe. that was at about 12 months old. great sounding exhaust though, however I am thinking de cats are required, i like them loud
  18. 1. The car was bought like that, although it has been into a few bodyshops since he owned it, so a lot of the marks may be from that. 2. Why thankyou 3. Haha didnt need to know that And the paint has such a stunning pop to it. looks great in the sun but has a stunning shine now even when the weather isnt great. This detail made me want a black car again myself.
  19. Thanks From start to finish this one took 2 days. So about 16/18 hours of work (that includes lunch and general chit chat... ). I can do them in 1 day but this was a car that after speaking to the customer was to be done to a very high standard. Plus I wasted a while mastering exactly how the Ultrafina SE works best as it was my first time using the combo and it seems to work differently to most other polishes being its a very oily polish.
  20. Just a quick write up of another detail I recently did. This time an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. It has been in and out of body shops and so on for a while now, trying to get it looking like new. Now the paintwork was done, this was where I stepped in. I won't bore you all with a long write like you read everyday from others. A quick run down: - Washed (2BM with 2 Lambswool mitts) - Dried - Clayed using Sonus Green and Meguires LT (1:1) - Dried - Wheels clayed with Meguires Clay - Wheels were cleaned and treated off the car - 3M Blue Tape for taping up - Polishes used were Menzerna Power Finish on a 3M Black Pad, then 3M Ultrafina SE on 3M Blue Ultrafina Pad for finishing - Wax was Dodo Juice Supernatural I've no doubt missed loads of steps out but its a brief overview none the less. And a few pictures just to show you my long days work. Crazy marks on the rear quarter: After the mild cut phase: Few random before shots: 50/50 after the first cut pass. Shows the extra deepness the paint gets even at this phase. Wheels Off to do wheels and suspension etc Mid Process: Biggest let down on the car, the key... Its a Ford! Few shots from after finishing and before waxing. Just a few finished pictures, not in great light, but it looks good anyway. Haha There are no inside shots as I only concentrated on the outside of the car on this one. He wanted all the attention spent on the paintwork. A good 14 hours of machine involved in this one. And lastly a quick walk around video for good measure.
