    HIDs

There is a photo guide at the end of this link: http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/175-interior-exterior/35128-headlamp-bulb-replacement.html Have you got a link to the bulbs you have purchased?

I think you have to go in through the inner wheel arch. Which bulbs did you get?
  4. 06 box - no need. Fit flyboy's conversion kit instead.
  5. In a hands free mount on your windscreen
  6. It will be interesting to see how they perform and for how long. I've bought cheap replacement projector bulbs that last weeks not years. You get what you pay or buy it cheap buy it twice as they say.

    Help

Is there a face palm emoticon?
  8. So it doesn't leave any polishing oils behind that mask and swirls that haven't been cut out?
  9. IPA is an alcohol. It is used to remove the oils of a polish that would otherwise hide the swirls and light scratches. You need to do this after buffing off to be certain that you have cut through the swirls. I'm sure it's probably fine and you will know either way when the wax wears off.
  10. Did you wipe over with an IPA solution after polishing to remove any oils before inspecting the finish was free of swirls or did you go straight to wax?
  11. I thought discs and pads were supplied in pairs. If this is true then either the garage did no work on your car or they are stuck with one disc and one set of pads that they will never sell on. If you have to pump the brakes and considering that the caliper was replaced then it is likely that they have not been bled properly. However, just replacing one disc and one set of pads is most likely to result with unbalanced braking causing a pull to one side or the other. As others have said, do not drive this car with anything other than the most care and only gentle braking. You could be putting yourself and other lives at risk.
  12. Yes brilliant. Now he will get outsourced to China along with all of his colleagues and soon to be followed by the rest of us.
  13. Why? I think you missed the laughing smiley.
  14. I'd get the bonnet done too. That's going to be peppered as well.
  15. I doubt that there would be any other damage. It looks very light on both cars to me.
  16. Shocked? Shocked! I would be too. That's cheap!
  17. Not that it is of any help to ou now but for others contemplating changing their plugs, do them one at a time. Then there's no chance of getting the coil wiring crossed. When I did mine I don't recall disconnecting any pipes other than the air intake tube.
  18. Cougar store has my old one. 2 years old. PM them if interested.
  19. Yikes. Not sure I'd want to use a bottle jack. They're regarded to be unstable aren't they? Use the Nissan scissors jack or a trolley jack.
  20. Would the damage to the flywheel not also have imprinted onto the clutch as well?
  21. From memory you need to remove the trim. The "Nissan" box could be the amplifier for the audio system as that is mounted in the boot AT&T the very rear left of the car - again from memory.
  22. Can you out up a photo of the problem?
  23. So yesterday I had another go at a rear wing. Firstly I tried a megs 7" cutting pad on the rotary. It was difficult to control on the curves. This is why I used a 4" cutting pad on the rotary last time as it was easier. So I switched to a 4" cutting pad on the DA on setting 6 after spreading around on setting 1. Once the polish had gone clear I reduced the speed gradually. I used medium pressure and worked the panel in four sections. This removed the swirls and scratches. I followed up with megs #80 on a 4" polishing pad (yellow) on the DA. However this left micro-marring - something I had experienced before I had the rotary. So I switched to the rotary with the 4" polishing pad but this didn't help any with regards to the finish. I was just about the pack up for the day when I thought I would try the 7" polishing pad on the rotary. This was much more manageable than the large cutting pad. The result - bliss! Still no photos. When I redo the other wing next weekend I'll do some before / after pics.
