  2. There's always gonna be someone with a bigger one than you
  3. And he says this about his job "Apart from the day job, dedicated Safety Car driver for the Masters Series, also to MSV-R. Specializing in one to one instruction around Europe,Spa Nurburgring etc,or any circuit in the UK. ARDS license holder[sponsored by MSVr] Instructing with RSR Nurburg /Spa."
  4. I assume you mean between the 7 and the Tee ... well just to be devil's advocate: The space between the 7 and the Tee is 11 mm at the top and 55 mm at the bottom, which is an average of 33 mm ... I reckon you might get away with that argument dependant upon the intelligence of the inquisitor lol Please discuss .......................... To be serious though, I was pulled once in the Zed for that and had to get it changed PDQ; and several times in the TransAm which had an American style plate AË¥TAK
  5. Here's one way of getting round of the "letter of the law" by putting the BS number in the slogan
  6. DVLA planned to remove the spacing rules this year, but I've heard that this has now been put on the back burner for 2 years
  7. Wrong A square numberplate on the front of a car is NOT illegal in itself as noted here: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:VwLatrMgmPIJ:www.dft.gov.uk/dvla/forms/~/media/pdf/leaflets/V796.ashx+bs+au+145d+pdf&hl=en&gl=uk&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEESiGg_diU2DgTk3we5zcP8pk9-7JBsLLPl1RHFV6KPG-coDYEm5v3Ii8Y6U1JE3bLkwj19iNB05BPuuByhFvs3RN0bKr_dBLPkqOjxTFm9WTcOECZO1PFtJbCzl1lWrlmmaq32SJ&sig=AHIEtbTlOP1HhAGYbgXq0C-vQxAzuMdxgg Check the spacing on your plate to see make sure it conforms i.e.: 11 mm all round 11 mm between characters 19 mm between rows Then check that the following is also on the plate: BS AU 145d Manufacturer ID and postcode At a guess it may be the last bit that let you down
  8. Simple answer is no ... but that trench you're proposing ... 7500 mm deep ? really ? ... I suggest you get some sheet piles, strongbacks and acrow props ready to prevent everything - the house and the garage - collapsing into the trench lol PS I guess you mean 750 mm so you'll be OK Good luck
  9. you're right about the rare plant but it's more of a tree .... checkout 'mastic from Chios' ... Nico is from Greek stock after all

  11. Close to the edge Jay, close to the edge
  12. If offered a course, take it, it saves money and you'll definitely learn something ... I've had two goes (in different counties ... that's the benefit of living within a few miles of 4 different police authorities) and still have zero points on my licence ... ... and before anyone asks 34 in a 30 in the Aston 44 in a 40 in the Arosa I now drive on the cruise all the time in the Merc ... very relaxing
  13. Someone should take a good look at that ... looks to be very good value ... only 34000 miles, due a service soon though
  14. It does look good but that is not Rothers' car ... it's just a picture of a car with a roof spoiler that Rothers posted ... Rothers' car has a veilside spoiler
  15. IIRC that didn't work for me ... had to go the pineapple and kiwi fruit route in the end ... sorted

Welcome to the club Car looks fine it's got a couple of extras too ... aluminium vent covers and what appear to be fog lights in the grille Corrosion bubbles on the Rays are normal Poor syncromesh on the gearbox also normal as is high bite point for clutch PS Zeds don't generally have breaks so disregard the advisory unless it's about brakes
  17. Yes and Yes but please check your spelling and revise on the thread title
