This might seem like a really random question but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. The council don't grit our road ever, it's a cul-de-sac, so the other night I was leaving in my car (bearing in mind it was nearly a week after the last snow fall) and the road was like an ice rink, doing 15mph round a slight bend the car went and slid straight into a curb so slowly I managed to have enough time to brace myself and straighten my wheels but alas my efforts were not rewarded. The rear alloy seemed to fall apart like it was brittle, a big 6 inch chunk fell off! When it bouned off the back wheel the front wheel hit the curb and bent the tie rod. Now where this all comes together is because I need to replace the parts as I'm without a car now.
Does anyone know what the likley opening hours of motor factors are over the Christmas break? I tried to call GSF in the hope that they had an answer phone message to advise of the opening hours but they don't. By the way this was in my Audi and not my 370, Quattro did not save my ass in this instance!
