  1. aye, members gallerys are really good for looking a the impact of certain mods as well, eg - i lowered by old golf 80mm, it looked awesome and handled well but 3 months later i split the sump and smashed the gearbox on a country road whilst doing 60 (i actually was for a change!) so the lesson was if you had that engine type the sump was a bit too low to suit that drop
  2. yep i wanna keep the rays on there too, i popped into the local alloy wheel shop yesterday and they can get hubcentric spacers in for the z, what size spacers did you use on each side?
  3. - nice! .. as for the car! wtf, i thought leamington was meant to be quite posh, i only work down the road and have to pop in for work nights outs etc, glad it hasnt happened to any of my cars yet
  4. looking good mate, helped me decide that i need spacers or 19's before fitting a nismo mumber, that front splitter looks so cool but it makes the rays look small! - love the rays wheels shame they didnt do a 19" version!

    GT-R front bumper

can the same not be said for the nismo v1/2/3 bumpers? officially on nismo z's and if yours isnt then it shouldnt be wearing it? I quite like the blue gtr stylee bumper but the nismo 350z bumpers are the furthest i'd stray from the original lines as i think they're the most sympathetic to its style... i would say that though i have a v2 front bumper waiting to be fitted! lol
  6. i was coming up about 7:20 between banbury and gaydon but you missed me, lol never see any on the run to work!
  7. yep v overpriced, my 56 plate uk gt with 28k was about 3k less than that form a nissan delaer with lots of extras on top (refreshing some of the visually worn components)
  8. yeah they are wicked lil cars just a tad girly! my mates dad got one to replace his z4 coupe and its a much more fun car. You cant fit in them if your tall though! lkike the idea of the boxter sticker though
  9. If he's got that sticker on the back it might be a rotrex charged one, heard of a few of them around, over 300bhp and would embarrass a standardish z as they are a good 200kg's lighter

    Springs

,i need to sort it out who makes them and wher are they from please dude, my diesel estates alot lower than the z
  11. i'm looking to buy atm after my ex's just bought and her mam's been an estate agent for 20 years - thought it was a good sign. Round my way houses are starting to be snapped up within the week they're put on sale! Two houses i was looking at have been bought before i could get even a 2nddviewing and they've both been on for 6months but have had a frenzy of activity recently They seem to be steadily going up 1 or 2% a month around Bedford and Leamington Spa way
  12. sounds like the scam they showed on the real hustle a while back, i think it said that people borrow your phone with some bollocks excuse and ring a number, enter an activation code then your signed up to recieve ots of costly texts

    Springs

it might sound daft but shouldnt sports cars be low? after years of running super low vw's i'm got used to taking extra time over speed humps and using weird snaking ways to ensure you dont drag the bottom of the car! What springs were avaialble for £114 then? and from where please?
  14. yeah good idea, i tried ringing them and couldnt get through b4 (tbh only tried on one day so they could have been shut) I live in a village just out towards olney (less than 5miles probably) where knight racer are so i think i'll have to pop in there, their stuff on ebay looks to be pretty well priced!
  15. wouldnt say thats too expensive at all! - i paid a little less for a 56 with almost 10k more on a month or so ago, which at the time wasnt bad, did see ones similar spec and mileage to this cheaper and more expensive, all depends on condition i suppose! This looks like a lovely motor though, hope it goes to a good home
  16. love the look of your car! lowered with black 19's and the carbon bits looks the nuts on a gm!.. i promised myself i wouldnt mod this but who was i kidding! i cant leave any car standard lol - didnt want 19's cos i was set to do lots of miles and thought tires'd be alot more than 18's, gonna keep my old passat diesel now so this might be a future option lol - if thats about the chavy comment, sorry, wasnt a dig at anyones cars on here at all - just seen a few badly chosen carbon bits on vws recently and i suppose everyone's taste is different
  17. lol, thats the one thats taken my fancy... your to blame! and i'm the bloke bidding on it
  18. yep i agree its getting round like that round here and its getting worse! plus i find if you speak normally and say please and thank you some eejits think your posh! lol.
  19. I got my z back today from the bodyshop after fixing some front end crash damage whilst it was away i started looking at what i could fit... slippery slope i know so i know have a damaged nismo v2 (replica i believe) bumper on its way to me, i was always planning to smooth it and make it look like this, but Gunmetal witha painted lower but... i'm now thinking i really like the standard bumper, but with a carbon lip maybe, the siebon vs one below has taken my fancy but looking at a few new Aston V12 vantages today although i like the carbon accents i think it will look a bit chavy/stick on without the theme carrying through the whole car subtley. So i was thinking carbon b pillars in the middle and it needs a small trunk spoiler (prefer a little one not the nismo stlye biggun!). Found a pic of this seibon tb rear spoiler on a yank site. has anyone ever seen one fitted as i cant find any fitted pics of the little rear carbon spoiler on any z? i'm hoping that some of you guys and girls may have pics of some of these parts fitted - ideally to a gm so i can see the contrast please? any help would be awesome, thanks

    bodyshops?

mark which body shop do you use, my old man knows the owner of vw panels/qa auto repairs and they have always be quality for my cars in the past (not an approved one for my insurer though so couldnt take the z there for repair ) but if you dont want to travel quite as far i got mine back today from LC accident repairs in letchworth so a bit closer to you and the colour match, panel gaps and fit is absolutely top class , owners called Lance and the bodyshop manager is called Dean
  21. I'll be driving very carefully for a while in it! "see if you can last more than 12 days" was my lil bros comments yestersday - cheeky oik! lol yep gonna avoid using it for the weekly commute apart from the odd day i think and go back to the passat - i its better than putting 700 miles+ a week on the z! Its completely standard again, they wouldnt fit any aftermarket bumpers and i couldnt get a splitter or clear front markers in time. I bought a damaged nismo v2 bumper (copy i think) bumper off ebay 2 weeks ago but am a big concerned as i havent heard a thing from the seller and havent recieved the item, i was gonna trial fit this myslef after repairing and removing the canards and smoothing it out then take it back to them (just the bumper) for them to spray in the same colour with the same mix of paint... but that doesnt seem to be happening if the bumper doesnt turn up soon! So i think if i cant get the v2 bumper i'll get a carbon front splitter and speak to gaz at envy about some clear indicators when they arrive from the states and just fit them for now, minimal outlay and i think it'll look great but considdering i've been stung with the £600 excess the wallets a bit dentedand i'd prefer the nurrish sat nav system first! Its actually better condition than i bought her in, there was i strange scuff on the middle of the bumper that couldnt be machine polished off and a fair few stone chips that are no longer there I have the old wheel and tire as well - the tire is undamaged and had only done 1500 miles and i'll get my mate to check the wheel out (his friend runs www.wheelrefurbishing.com) if its straight or can be straightened then i'll get it repaitned - its scratched and the edge is damaged and keep it as a spare
  22. Got the Z back this morning there was no structural damage, the big bits were bumper, light wing, wheel, tire, wishbones, hub, track rod. At least i've got rid of the stone chips! Council wont admit liability, waiting on insurance legal advice but atm i dont care as i have the car back and the long journey to work has never felt so good!
  23. I can understand the amount of people passionate about the looks rather than the performance. If i'm honest the car has mmore than enough for overtaking and getting somewhere in a hurry, tuning anything on a z seems to cost a bloody fortune for the gains achievable. I used to be able to play with most things on the road witha 210bhp corrado and the z is much faster, the only time i've thought 'i know my place' was when i was giving it some beans on a counrty road and a gallado and r35 gtr came storming past! There are cheaper and more fun ways to play on a track imo and thats where the z, being too new, looses out, i think when these get older like the s14 200 sx and z32 300zx they will apeal far more for performance cos the initial outlay'll be less. I'll stick to playing with vws for my crazy car for the time being, i grew up with them from 17 and they are all related and straight forward so it makes swappign parts quite straight forward... i would never think about installing 4wd into a primera! (although i did used to work with a fella at nissan with a rwd 2.0 16v k12 micra! lol)
  24. thats orrible! if only i hadnt have been so hungover sunday morning when i was being driven down embankment near westminster i could have taken a photo of a similar coloured previous gen 5 series! - how to devalue your car
  25. love it! v jealous, i am the only one who thinks the lower in black looks like it has a freddy mercury handlebar?
