Car has 600cc injectors fitted. It was a kit we stripped from a Car returning it to a more stock NA set up for insurance reasons.

Torx bit us the way forward. Trouble with Allen keys is the wear out and people don't notice. Also if the SC unit was warm the dipstick will come undone easier your find.

It will just be the rear O2 sensor reading that the exhaust gas hasnt been cleaned by the Cat it wont make your car drive any differently. When we Uprev we can turn of the DTC code that causes the CEL to illuminate. Tuning a HR with de-cats and a good exhaust sytem will find around 15bhp from a stock car and far better midrange torque and better throttle response. The cranks grind okay , just need to check the crank is straight before grinding ( sometime a knocking big end will cause a the crank to be bent) Bearings stock or undersize easily supplied; Stock gasket set/head bolts easily supplied. I do seem to remember you was going to have Octets S/H motor from his 370Z thou as I offered you a brand new 370Z short motor before that we did have in stock.

Sorry yes only the front part of the front cover. Also the air con rad will need removing. We just drop the motors out the bottom on the subframe with the gearbox still attached. What ever way you go good luck.

Stock cat will catch and burn the oil smoke off. Decatted exhaust lets the oil smoke through and out off the tailpipes.

To get the cams out is a front cover (complete, front and rear parts) then remove the 3 cam chains off before you can take the cams out. It isn't a nice motor to strip especially with it in situ in the car.

I understand your thoughts. But every smoke VQ we have stripped had worn out oil control rings. The cylinder heads when stripped the inlet valves where perfectly clean no oil continuation at all. Compression test will show up good as well. I just think if you pull the heads off it is an easier job with the motor out you might as well strip it fully. The Rev Up motor had a recall for oil usage Nissan had changed supplier of Pistons rings for the Rev Up motor on the recall they changed the Pistons ring set. Thanks

Why are you thinkng of changing the valve stem seals? Using oil I presume? Are you sure it is the valve stem seals? The VQ suffer from the oil control rings loosing there tension so the car starts to use oil. If the car is running cats you won't get any blue smoke from the exhaust. Running decats your get smoke. Trying to help you out to save you wasting money and time from our experience.

There is no clutch parts on the NS (passengers side) for the clutch system on the HR.(unless you have a LHD car) I would say the clutch system just needs bleeding properly. I presume you have a Xtreme clutch system. Ewen , I am happy to help the customer out if needed.

Hi, I doubt that sensor will cause the issues you have been speaking about; The rear 02 sensors only measure how efficiently the CATs are cleaning the exhaust gas. I can lend you a rear O2 sensor if needed thou.

Have you had someone use a Nissan Consult to make the fans run the different stages , this sometimes kicks the fans back into life. We can supply after market fans for £102-00 inc vat each. Pretty easy to change thanks

Don't forget your diff cooler if fitting a LSD. Had a track Zed in this week for a service one of the many cars we had through the shop this week. Rear diff temperature over 160 deg C measured on temp tabs. One worn out differential!

Stock early bonnet will fit on a HR engined car just like my track car. Just run without the stock strut brace.

Shorter ratio = higher number. Longer ratio = lower number Shorter = lower speed A shorter final drive will make more torque at the rear wheels but lower top speed.
