  1. Few pictures of the Abbey Motorsport 350Z today , pictures on track will follow this week Day started very wet but dried out later on
  2. Ecutek won't get involved with the HR I am afraid. Not enough cars around. The reason the 370 was developed the ECU is very much like the GTR ECU. We found this out when we could use the GTR software to turn the bonnet lifter light out on the 70's after tuning with UpRev. Thanks
  3. We have been tuning a few 370Z with ECUTEK now and getting great results; Normal bolt ons HFC and exhaust system we are seeing over 310 hub bhp on our in house dyno; See below dyno plots; This is a 370Z tuned last week against a stock Nismo 370Z (blue plot is the stock Nismo) (dyno plots shows flywheel bhp but it is hub bhp) just easier to show torque and bhp on one graph) We have a good traction control map developed now as well far more controlled than the stock Nissan ESP map and can be adjusted via the cruise (Race ROM) control. We can also add safety maps for oil temp and water temperatures; Currently doing a deal on the ECUTEK @ £402-00 inc vat which will rise to £540-00 in the New Year. any questions ask away
  4. HR will pull more mph per 1000rpm as it has a higher rpm limit. Final drive and hear ratio's are the same
  5. Abs ecu is under the steering column try disconnecting the main connector make sure connector and ecu pins look all good and no water/green corrosion. Do the same for the engine ecu connector as well? What are you using for reading the codes? Really needs to be a Nissan Consult cause this will show old codes and how many starts ago a problem was read.
  6. Ecu is up under the passengers side of the dash. The car will actually run without seeing a phase sensor ( cam sensor) will just crank a while longer to get engine position sync'ed.
  7. I cant see how DT are doing this price , KW haven't changed there UK price since the beginning of the rear (they have held a low price as well) Cost for Kit from KW is £1338-00 +vat for a Nissan 370Z V3. Maybe DT are buying from Germany and any warranty issues would be an issue as we have to register the dampers parts numbers for any warranty claim and the dampers will need shipping back to Germany via DT not via the UK importers. Thanks
  8. NA always shows hot IAT's when sat still as the exhaust gas rises and heat soaks the AFM which houses the IAT. Going to air/air would be the way forward but expensive. Will sort a price out for GTM conversion
  9. The Stillen with its water/air charge cooler will never control the IAT like a air to air intercooler. The issue is the charge cooler in the inlet manifold is too small. We have been involved with charge coolers a lot lately with our heavy involvement with the GT86 and SC units. With the upgraded charge cooler rad we see a rise in coolant temp due to the depth of the radiators all wanting air to cool them. I can stitch together some data from a pair of 370's one running Stage 1 GTM another running Stillen but both cars running EcuTek to show the difference in IAT control. Thanks
  10. Exciting news just got off the phone from Gamma Motors that brought all the rights of GTM when they went out of business. We can now again supply the excellent GTM Stage 1 SC kit with air to air intercooler for better IAT control; Pricing I am waiting for but very excited as the GTM Stage 1 kit worked very very well and on the 370Z with Ecutek it will work even better. 350Z HR guys hold on we have another stand alone ECU in development which will be a lot cheaper than Syvecs ( not as good) but still a good upgrade with knock control and full traction control.
  11. what tyres are you running? This is the main culprit for a tramlining car , Toe changes can help but it is the design of the tyre that can cause a lot of the issue
  12. Josh , so you don't have rear adjustable camber arms yet? This will limit the set up you can get into your car. Main concern without running adjustable rear camber arms is not being able to dial out the rear camber you car will be running. The lowering will gain front camber but nothing excessive normally the gain is what we want to run. I would say a good base setting; As your running tein Springs which I presume are these; This is a good ride height reduction as running any lower than this will cause a big gain in unwanted rear camber. Front camber will be around 1deg 30mins to 1deg 45mins (1.5 to 1.75 deg negative) Rear camber you need to try to get to 1deg 30mins to 2deg 0mins (1.5 to 2deg negative) Front Toe run very little Toe in 0deg 03mins per side 0.06mins total toe in Rear Toe run a little more toe in say around 0deg 10mins per side 0.20mins toe in. Any questions ask away
  13. Josh, give me a list of you set up and what % is road work and what % is track work and I will give you a good set up. My set up will include ride heights as well.
  14. I doubt that will cause the issues your are having, Should be an easy fix once we see the car soon
  15. Thanks for your help Mark. Shame I'd ordered the sandwich plate this afternoon. Not to worry Think this is it? Bolt above the place the filter unit bolts too: Thats it
  16. If your running an oil cooler yes I turn this off. Main issue we find with this DTC trip is heat soak when you turn the car off. Also won't reset without a code reader even if the oil temp drops below 130deg C
  17. yes it is can be turned off with Uprev software thou
  18. There is a drilling in the sump that allows you to read oil temp , the DE motor has this blocked off the REV UP motors has oil temp trip calibrated in the stock ECU ( will put the car into limp if the oil temp gets to 130deg C) so it has an oil temp sensor fitted and wired into the ECU (see below picture) This will allow you to read OIL temp with out any extra take off plates or draining the oil on a DE motor Thread is M10 x 1 ( I think will double check)
  19. Nicoclub stuff is awesome but remember they are also US cars so a lot of wiring stuff is different and multi plugs are different; The Motor is the same thou.
  20. Non LSD JDM diff won't have any cooling fins. I seem to think even a LSD JDM diff doesn't have fins will need to do some hunting for info. Also doesn't have a jacking post. All UK cats had a viscous LSD diff casing is heavily finned with a jacking post. Some UK cars have plastic cooling duct that bolts on the rear diff some don't. I know the later HR cars don't have the cooling duct.
  21. You could try us @ Abbey Motorsport. Been tuning the 350Z for a while. Can sort on a Saturday as well. Cost is £402-00 Inc vat. Any questions ask away. Thanks
  22. You cant block the outlet/inlet from a oil cooler take off plate this will stop the oil flow and cause a major engine issue What you need is a gauge plate that allows oil pressure and oil temp takes off to be fitted; Like this http://imageshack.co...7062/iJiPSV.jpg if you just want oil temp , just remove the stock Nissan Oil temp sender and add your own sensor in this fitting and then turn off the Nissan oil temp sensor input with Uprev , this puts the car into limp @ around 130Deg C oil temp. If your fitting an oil cooler I would just remove the stock oil/water cooler assembly and join the 2 water pipes together. thanks
  23. Yep sat in the yard waiting for some work to be carried out; ;-)
