  1. Hi, well i think so, its a 2007 HR 313 ?
  2. Hi all, just had an MOT and the advisory was for the rear crossmember or A frame that sits under the diff, its badly rusted and i am having trouble finding a new replacement part, anyone an idea where i might get such a thing? Many thanks.
  3. Hi there, my low revs jitter, which was a pain in the bum and nearly made me sell the car, was cured by an Uprev remap, carried out by Dynatune at East Kilbride, a chap who really new what he was doing, its to do with the exhaust valve variable valve timing being to far retarded at low revs. I had changed plugs , oils, filters , cleaned maf sensors you name it all to no avail. I even had my local Nissan dealer put it on their diagnostics equipment as they stated that they had "state of the art" diagnostics equipment who came up with a £50 bill and said it needed all 4 oxygen sensors changing at a cost of £1250!!! Nothing wrong with oxygen sensors as the Uprev cured it, and its been a dream to drive ever since.

    Uprev remap

Juat had my 350z with the VQHR engine Uprev repmed to cure the all to common low revs throttle hesitation due to exhaust valve timing out of sync, this is a totally new car to drive now and i cant thank, Dynatune at East Kilbride enough!
  5. RESOLUTION !!! Hi all and again thanks very much for all the replies and help, after a lot of advice about many things relating to this fault i decided to carry out the exhaust valve timing relearn which seemed to make a small difference but certainly didn't fix the fault, so decided to change the oil to 10/40 oil in which i hoped would raise the oil pressure slightly, my thoughts being that this would somehow help with oil pressure fed variable valve fairies and goblins or however this all works inside these machines, anyhoo the upshot is that the fault has disappeared, i have tried my very best to get the niggle to happen but am now happy it has went away. OK it states in the handbook that 5/30 is preferable but in the absence of 5/30 you may use other grades dependent on outside temperature, and the car may have indeed been ran on thinner viscosity oil before i had it then when i took the car and changed the oil to 5/30 fully synthetic perhaps it was this that upset the apple cart? So now the car is accelerating through the dreaded 1100 rpm point without the niggle?? Hope this bit of info may help others with this HR engine problem.
  6. Hi, yes its an HR but surely not every HR needs a remap? Oil pressure at idle is around 30 bar and idles at around 500rpm
  7. Thanks for all the replies its much appreciated, as for pedal dances etc its all been done many times before as has most other items easily replaced, filters plugs etc, but problem still persists, most unusual that any car can have a hesitation at a very set rev level ie 1000rpm below ok above ok! so negotiating slow moving traffic is a pain! Anyhoo i will update on any info i get which may help others in the same boat! Thanks
  8. Hi all, i have mentioned this fault before in that i have an uneven acceleration mostly in 1st and second gear at low revs making for moving away and stop start traffic an utter pain! Local Nissan dealer has diagnosed and i quote " Check and report on hesitation when pulling away and acceleration, carried out self diagnosis ,found o2 sensors not switching. reguires all o2 sensors and oxygen sensors. The quote for this work is well over £1000 as the sensors alone are hideously expensive, surely they dont need to replace ALL the sensors? I did challenge them on this but they say they do, i also said OK if this doesnt fix the problem whats next? They said they stand by the diagnosis as they are the Nissan experts and if that doesnt fix it they will sort it out for me. Anyone else had this problem or am i being taken for a ride here, if i thought for a moment this would fix it i am tempted to pay up but just have a horrible feeling that the problem will still exist,
  9. Thanks for all the reply's most helpful. I have tried many things to correct this minor fault but to no avail, . new plugs, air filters , MAF sensors carefully cleaned along with throttle bodies, fuel injector cleaner etc but still i have this slight hesitation around 1500 rpm, its something i can live with but just slightly spoils an otherwise superb driving experience but only when in stop start traffic so i will just have to try and drive fast everywhere! ,
  10. Just a note to this point and i know im getting really technical here but does anyone know if the white plastic part of the bit that fits into the two metal parts on top of the accelerator pedal should spin as it moves up the pedal as you press the accelerator? Looks to me that it should? But mine doesnt, was just wondering if it has stuck, if anyone could just check if theirs turns as you press the pedal? Probably barking up the wrong tree but just a thought, thanks again!
  11. Mmm thanks for the reply's i will try the AC trick tomorrow see if that makes any difference, its just so annoying and the only thing spoiling such a superb drive from these super cars.
  12. Hi all, i have tried to get advice on this fault before and tried all advised remedies, ie pedal dance, leaving battery disconnected for a few hours , all other reset procedures, on 350 z 2007 model with the HR engine, 49k miles. The fault is an annoying jitteryness when changing from 1st to second gear, so at around 1400 rpm there is a very slight delay before power kicks in, so if you are really really careful you can drive through this but with normal day to day driving when you have to keep up with traffic in stop start traffic jams this jitteryness in a nightmare to control. Makes me look like an amateur driver! Car runs superbly otherwise.I am beginning to suspect the throttle position sensor but reluctant to change it due to cost in case im wrong, any ideas? Help gratefully received! Thanks, Simon
  13. Ye sorry guys, im in south west Scotland, but willing to travel to get the right people to look after my Z
  14. Hi all, anyone recommend a garage in Scotland that will know what they are doing with my 350z, for servicing and fault finding etc, thanks for any replies.

    Flat spot?

Yes looks like a common proplem by all the feedback, i will probably just live with it as other than this little problem its a fantastic car, thanks for all the reply.s
