  1. lol george andlid's building a 600hp straight line car haha. Theres only so quick you can go round a corner before the laws of physics take over Heres another couple of vids. slightly faster lap here
  2. I think it's bad that someones genuinely sensible thread has been hijacked. Mods please tidy up so the op can try and get some tyres until he can afford to match all four corners. Ta
  3. No, I got pi**ed off when a guy was unneccesarily rude to me, Ive got no problem with people saying they dont like my car as you can see from various posts on here. Quite different. You just brought dan into a thread that he had nothing to do with? You used his name to try and stir up an argument because we weren't flaming someone Seriously mods any chance of sorting this thread out and giving the op his thread back. This really puts a dampner on this forum. Thanks I
  4. Awesome price! I may have to check my local part worn place after all and see if they have anything in before I fork out for some new ones!!! That was from a member on here. My Missus dad has a tyre business so I get stuff from them too much much cheaper. even a tyre with 3-4mm has at least 5k miles left on it
  5. No, you're an idiot if you ignore a healthy dose of scientific fact and just go with your gut. It's like believing in the tooth fairy despite the collection of old teeth gathering dust below your pillow. If anyone wants to challenge my views with some evidence of their own then fine, that's their right and I'll listen, but what I won't sit here and do is be attacked because I dared to actually post something that has some basis in theory, not just in the mind. It's the same reasoning behind why we don't really think the world was created in 6 days. Are you serious mate? He never called you an idiot. He said you're an idiot if you don't believe scientific fact. He clearly meant other people in general. So easy to stir stuff when you take it out of context. Too easy.
  6. I run part works on track. I got 4 re040's with 6mm of tread for 100quid who's the mug? They have had no puncture repairs (which is the biggy) and have no tears in sidewalls. So why should I not use them. Docrwa I don't think your in any position to throw accusations and make assumptions. You spat out the dummy and threw all the toys out the pram a few weeks ago when your car didn't get everyone vote on looks. I emailed Dan last week for advice as I was gonna run front tyres 10mm smaller than my current fronts, and a different type, as my front never appeared. He replied saying I should have very little issue except a little understeer which will be barely noticeable. Guess what? He was spot on. He doesn't just jump at the fact that all tyres weren't matching but also looked at the science and physics behind it and advised me as I requested. Cheers again for the advise Dan
  7. If you take one of your wheels off front and rear it usually says on the back up bit where the bolts go through or behind one of the spokes matey
  8. Craigs ds2500 squeal like a bitch. I got informed that they don't meet the eu standards for road pads ? I'm sure this is on another thread on here also. The standard pads won't be as good and probably wear out much quicker. For the sake of spending an extra 20-30quid I would definitely recommend something more performance related.
  9. Nah, those were the ones on the m3 drilled rotors. Not good on a track and weren't brilliant on road either. I think they're fine on slotted/flat discs, but I'd still rather have performance friction/dixcel/endless/ferodo. alot of the time attack cars are running bluestuff for full seasons with no issues. Its all new compounds now from ebc. getting very good ratings. the ferrodos are not street legal pads like the bluestuff ndx pads btw. Thats why they squeel alot The vids from raf valley of the v8 skyline on track... he's running bluestuff on that and loves them. Yellowstuff are a perfect balance of cost and performance for anybody looking for a road pad
  10. Don't like them Well, at least not on drilled rotors. lol is it ebc rotors? if it is then they are probs your problem. The pads are fantastic value for money. Im running ebc bluestuff ndx track pads and had very little squeal. I installed them as advised without copper grease and they have been perfect tbh. Never over heated them doing 25miles on track at a time with very heavy braking etc
  11. ebc yellowstuff are awesome and very wisely priced. i haved tried and tested on the track also. no squeal at all.
  12. The k1 is tragically loud for day to day! Everything inside the cab vibrates. I took mine off and sold it within a month.
  13. Yep you defo see the extra torque the 370 has pulling out the corners! I will upload my vids of me really pushing hard at the end of the session when I had the missus out with me(I had to try hard to impress her after her being out in westfields and an r8) The funny line i took was me trying to search for a faster line through the corner. It's remarkably hard to find the correct lines and catch the apex on a runway track. Hahaha when you got lost was priceless!! The Dougie opened his boot in the Rex half way round the track lmao! Was an awesome day! I did receive quite a few stonechips from the runway stones I will get them fixed at the start of the summer. You really can't hear my car noise at all due to the camera being mounted in the front windscreen. If it was mounted in the rear then I reckon it would sound alot better.
  14. Haha yep I got clocked just under 110 at the end of the straight with the police speed gun. I was a bit lazy with gear changes when chasing people, I need to train myself to change before revving 5.5k for max torque. The big sweeping right handed was taken around 75mph pushing to around 85-90mph on exit. The power difference after a remap was definitely noticeable against standard zeds that were on. The car sounds as if it's making a squealing noise at the top end, when I rev'd through and lifted of the power to change gear my right foot wasn't quick enough and the car wanted to rev and catch the rev limiter It was a weird one. I don't know if it was just because the engine was so warm and ambient temps were over 23degrees. All in all the car was splendid and handled perfectly!
  15. Here is a quick couple of vids from valley. I will update more later Me following The G Man for a couple of laps Cheers
  16. lol my photo is crap, i wasnt gonna bother as the car wont be finished until next year but i thought id chuck it in for a laugh
  17. Please tell us about yourself as no one will be nice if you dont. Right now you seem like you havent thought it through. Have you check the running costs and insurance etc out? I do believe if your only spending 6k for a zed then you really havent thought it through. 6.5k for a decent one?? your having a giraffe!! You're way closer to 5 figure sums to get a decent one im afraid mate
  18. Neilp

    any1 selling

make sure you get the piaa "s" ones with the aerospoilers on them Piaa wipers are awesome and work great at speeds well over 100mph with no judder or lift
  19. That would have been george lol he was having a ballache of a time with his tc....., Im guessing you spoke to me also
  20. That would have been your cheap ebc discs due to being fitted without the runouts checked, not the pads. Ive ran ebc pads for two years now nearly. The yellowstuff handled trackwork well and lasted fantastically. Only swapped them out to try out ebc bluestuff ndx track pads which performed flawlessly in 23degree heat on a 2.5mile long track for in excess of 10 laps at a time. Never had any issues, fade or worries at all.
  21. I would recommend yellowstuff pads. Reds will die very quickly because of the sees weight problem
  22. The skyline was scary scary fast. I was pushin 110mph at the end of the straight whereas he was clocked at 135mph
  23. lol it was a cool down lap. I done pretty well. Just took it easy the first half of the day and then really pushed on in the afternoon. I have destroyed my discs. Grit has got in behind the pad i think and now i have alot of scoring on my discs. Will need to get the pads off and check the back of them. It was the only downfall on the track tbh. The amount of small stones flying around was quite alot. My first vid is on the upload just now. 2 hrs to go lol
  24. good video mate, i spotted myself doing a cool down lap lol. I need to get mines uploaded but everytime i try the videos' take ages as theyre in hd and over 1gb in size. May have to chop them up and upload I see you got plenty of sideways action lol. I remember seeing you in a puff of smoke going on to the pit straight lol. Top stuff
