  1. This is a group buy that went on a couple of months ago. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=45192&hilit=rs+tuning&start=60 There is various chat about the results on it.
  2. I was at rs tuning in leeds This is a 287bhp carhttp://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=131&t=35050 and here http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=131&t=39576 This is my car http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=131&t=46949 Just out of interest, what exhaust did you go for?
  3. no sorry, my car is the 300ps revup enginer( thats the model number) The remap software is called uprev. With a 287ps model you will struggle to break the 300bhp mark im afraid. I will dig out a link to the guys that got done at rs tuning.
  4. You wont get any power increase im afraid mate. All these figures never live up. I have got a mountain of stuff done to my car and only made 305.5 bhp after a remap. Until you get a remap your car will actually lose power. Remaps can only be done by 3 tuning specialists. The closes to us is rs tuning in leeds. My car is a 297bhp (300ps) model on my first dyno run i only made 293bhp. If your car is a 287 bhp, the actual first dyno runs usually do first run around 260bhp - 270bhp. The cars never run at the quoted figures. Get a plenum spacer, decats/high flow cats, a decent y-pipe and a 2006 revup intake box if your chasing power. The induction kit will not show a gain in power and infact may cause you to lose power (you have to add up if you want the cool noise or power, cool noise then keep the induction kit, power-- get a revup 2006 300ps intake box)

  7. I have the exact same thoughts everytime I am in Silverburn multi storey! I'll try it one day... ...and crash! Multistorey car parks... there's a thing of the past. My sees never seen one before lol
  8. My missus is a brilliant driver! I've let her drive the zed and she was great with it. Was gonna give her a shot on track but she doesn't want to as it may be too busy for her to learn. May book her a lesson in it at the track during the summer.
  9. Yeh they wanted a young thing in their lifes sooo obv thought I would be best suited for the job So where do I put the keys?????? Its in the bowl right? well I have promised Laura that we'll send you home with some 'fresh' ideas...she was saying you need some 'education' once there's a ring on their finger that's when you're allowed to stop making the effort.
  10. Colin has concluded this thread perfectly I believe
  11. Falkens aren't the best Tyres for the zed. If you put them on track they will overheat very quickly like the t1r's. Every day use falkens will be fine. They are an upper budget tyre. The price tells the story. I agree that it is overhyped but if your not really a driving enthusiast (like, for talking sake my missus, and running mixed tyres) when one end let's go first people find it very hard to control as alot of the time it happens unexpectantly. That's what makes the issue more serious. When I had mixed Tyres on track I had abs going mental braking on a straight. I had to adjust my driving to suit, but alot of people do not realise it. At the end of the day all four corners the same will be an advantage over mixed in terms of handling and predictability.
  12. Mismatched Tyres will make the car very unpredictable! The rear will not respond the same as the fronts so you end up with a very oversteery car or very understeery car. One end well let go before the other. Having 4 falkens all round is a better idea the 2 mismatched high performance tyres in terms of predictability. It's not about better grip or stopping distance etc. Of course falkens will let go before ps2's but at least all corners will respond the same and not throw you into a ditch at the first site of rain. Docwra please chill mate you are being very aggressive with attitude in your response. I run mixed on my show wheels purely because pzero rosso's weren't available for my fronts. My track wheels are re040's and definitely feel much more predictable than running my mixed tyres. At least when you go to fast the front and rear give up at the same time and you start to get a little slide. If I had better on front then the car would appear to be very oversteery and vice versa for the rear.'
  13. Where is it? Unfortunately I'll be in wales The last time i seen tong, he was crap. The set he done was awful and I wasn't impressed. he is a legend tho
  14. eh hmm, my 19's have always had mixed tyres... Theyre gettin swapped out after this weekend so they all match. Ive ran toyo's on front and pirelli pzero rosso's on the rear. I used it on track like this and i did feel the car was uneasy. The front end felt as if the tyres were melting off and the rears felt much more stable. under breaking the car was having issues as the toyo's were giving up before the pirelli's. It didnt feel dangerous but just felt not right. As for road driving ive never had issues as i try not to drive like a tosser. It really your donald duck to be honest I would highly recommend matching all corners. If its cost your worried about alot of people find the falkens a very good balance between performance and price.

  16. Would love to but I don't do facebook
  17. I have a new catch can about to go up for sale matey
  18. hmm sounds very bad but why would someone do that? Has he annoyed anyone? I dont think someone would go to that effort for no reason. Still very bad all the same. Hope everything gets sorted
  19. If anyone has avoided paying tax by illegal means and HMRC have not enforced the law upon these people, then yes, I do include them. Anyone who avoids tax rather than evades tax is not acting illegally, they are just navigating an over complex system to their advantage. I also believe the tax system is massively too complex. It benefits those who can afford accountants and advisors to assist in them paying as little tax as possible, while remaining fully legal, and I do think it unfair that those who dont have the benefit of these advisors get shafted due to an overly complex tax system. So you would agree that the government should get it's act together and crack down on tax avoiders? Im not taking my cars off the road to avoid paying tax thats supporting undesireables, as you twisted it, Im taking them off the road as I find the system unfair and overly harsh toward the motorist. Also, knowing three tenths of chuff all about me, I'd question whether you are in a position to accuse me of being pompus? Ive had days where Ive been to the cash point after pay day and still found it a few hundred overdrawn with the £500 limit looming. Ive also been jobless too, I was qualified to work in a senior IT position, yet I found myself stacking beans at Tesco for a few years to make ends meet. SUre, not as harsh a situation as some people find themselves in, but what I didn't do on those days was point the finger at those better off than me and saying how unfair the system was. So, why gripe about those worse off than you? Why not those who should pay but dont't? those worse off, i guess you are referring to the chav ridden estates that chesterfield mentioned. I agree with chesterfield. There is junkies and scroungers on the dole getting free money which I worked to earn. The first thing i would do is stop free drugs (methandone etc) for the junkies, stop their benefits and force them to work. Its far too easy to scrounge of the system and these scumbags are screwing it well and truly.
  20. I think it's time for strikes. The last time it got to £1.13p everyone blocked the garages etc and the fuel was dropped to under 1quid a litre
  21. You have to be careful with copper grease as I found out You just need a very fine coating where it meets the piston and edges of calipers. I have fitted my current bluestuff pads without any as I was directed by http://www.brakes4u.co.uk and surprisingly I've had no squealing etc
  22. Vik, have you spoken to alex, that would so nicely along side the cossie
  23. My girlfriends father owns a valeting company which is linked onto his garage. What I would suggest is get a little portakabin/office for renting cheap in a decent location. Offer basic car washing services but also offer very expensive services which are time consuming. If you advertise like my missus' dad done you will get plenty of regular car wash customers who usually come back once or twice a year for the big jobs. Once you get a steady flow of car wash customers, get an assistant to work for you doing that and it will allow you to concentrate on the big jobs. Always keep your standards high for the cheaper services. Sorry to hear the bad news though mate!
  24. The suction one I bought was around 25 quid. Once I get my seats, cage and harness bar in I'll get one to mount onto the cage and hopefully one for the bonnet and rear. Seen a dvr kit with 4 cams which looks pretty good at around 300quid.
  25. It's at RAF valley in Wales Dan. I'm headin down with George (the g man) it's a charity day for help for heroes. I'll be looking at a more permanent effort when I get home. I left it to the last minute so just need something cheap and cheerful to get me by
