My shed car is seldom locked. Its worth 300 quid and there is litterally nothign in it for the vey reason i dont want anythign nicked out a very unsecure car. I took the stereo out just to make sure it was worthless. I leave it unlocked so that, in the unlikely event someone decided they want to have a look around it they dont cost me a new window or door lock in the process.

if you put them through behind the battery they are really easy to access hence most people doing it that way. You should be able to get in under the passenger footwell without any dismantling but if you need to... -Take the passenger door sill cover off (looks like a hockey stick), it just unclips if you pull up. -undo the 2 nuts holding the left hand footwell cover on, one at the front and one on the back wall -undo the screws holding the cover that has the drink holder (or money tray) in it [cant remember how many there are but just hunt around for them) that would give you clear access of the area

Any people doing Ice installs take the cables through the gromet behind the battery, there is a fuse/junction box there that you will find most of the cables going behind.

Hmm I highly doubt they would make a difference to the OEM box, they may give the tiniest smidge of a performance increase to an aftermarket cone filter as they suffer heat soak on the zed. Performance you would notice... the answers no.
