  1. It has come back to haunt me, spent the last 6 months convincing myself i'd done the right thing, so much so that once the wedding is done next April i'm off out to by another zed!! Its gonna be an exciting April in 2015!! I would just try to get Zak back.........clearly a loyal friend who has returned to it's home like a tracking pigeon!!! You could just postpone the wedding for a little while
  2. If someone clever does come along, can they please bring a soldering iron with them!
  3. Good evening forum members, experts and administrators (some of whom I'm sure fit into all 3 categories), I was hoping someone on here could give me some advice. I have had an airbag warning light flashing for the past 8 months and although several garages have diagnosed the fault as being a fault on the drivers airbag, none of them have been able to resolve the issue. I have searched and followed several topics regarding this seemingly common issue on here and although this has been very helpful, I am still stumped. The connectors under the seats all seem fine and no loose article has migrated under either seat. I have done the reset procedure on several occasions that I discovered on here (so thank you all for this information through various topic searches) but still no joy. The wiring within the rear of the seats all seem fine so feel it may be something else. Now my MOT is due..........today in fact and the tax as well. The issue I have is that since the law changed surrounding this fault, the Zed will not be bale to pass the MOT and therefore I cannot tax or then drive the Zed. I've had the Zed in a local garage all day today and they've spent the day investigating & researching.......it seems that Nissan have published a pdf on this issue (totalling 79 pages ) and it suggests a 3-step guide to resolving this issue on my 2005 350z GT. Each step should be completed in the order stated. Step 1 = replace the drivers airbag at a cost of £929 ....if this has no positive effect move onto step 2 (again )! Step 2 = Replace the wiring loom or Clock Spring (make sure you don't say this too quickly) at a cost of £354.....if this has no positive impact move onto step 3 . Step 3 - replace the airbag module at an undisclosed figure. So if I was to follow this guide I could theoretically spend a huge amount of money on parts that I may or may not require before someone can discover the actual fault........................are they for real?????? The guy at the garage has now taken the dashboard apart and has done some form of test (he did try to explain it to me but I'm not really technically minded) but the end result was that he feels the Airbag itself is fine.........result if this is correct. DoI get him to order the Clock Spring at a cost of £354 as the next step? Not really sure what to do now........seriously don't want to sell my baby and with no MOT or tax, she clearly would not retain much worth in comparison to the love I have for her. Any advice gladly received? Many thanks, Greg
  4. Hi Richard, I have a brand new plate holder in it's Nissan packaging that's never been opened if you were still searching! Had a new front bumper recently on an insurance repair but asked the bodyshop not to fit the new mount and have gone for tighter appearance. Greg

    Airbag light

I've done the reset procedure several times but light comes back on within 10 minutes of me starting my car up again. I've checked the "yellow" connector under the seat and it seems okay.......can I disconnect this connector and reconnect? If so, how do I disconnect the two halves? Please be kind as I'm definitely not technically minded!
  6. I rang my garage (or should I say the garage I used to take my motors) and they said to reset the Airbag warning light again it would cost me an hours labour (£45.00 + V.A.T.) After trying the "reset procedure" above.....the light is out! OMG I've never been so pleased to see a light go off!!! Thanks Keyser
  7. Have you got a link please for the site where you ordered your vinyl plates!

  13. Not me either I'm afraid as 350z GM all the way! Love the comment regarding the raging torrent!!! I see Rob you've got location as Kings Lynn....surely if you're around Scarning that's not a King's Lynn postcode?
  14. So there's currently 153 flodd alerts with 37 severe flood warnings across the South of England; a man and his dog have died crossing a swollen ford; April saw record amounts of rainfall for over a century; May is set to be similar and Anglian Water are still telling me that I can't use my hosepipe to clean my car because there's a DROUGHT!!! Where exactly is that then!
  15. Not mine just yet, in the process of buying but was thinking about changing the exhaust earlier Looked to be in very good condition from when i saw it, obviously i'd get better pics once i've actually got the car Sorry just read back to your original post......d'oh....clearly didnt read the 1st sentence very well! Perhaps getting too late in the day to be on the forum and still working! PM if you do obtain the car and decide to sell the K1.....I have a friend who really wants a good quality and priced example
  16. I really hope City win....I think it will be a tight match and will take an incident of some form to spark the winning goal. Man Utd 0 - 1 Man City Man City will score around the 79th minute and hold a barrage of attack for the final 11 + 3 minutes!!!!
  17. Any pics of yours...condition etc?
  18. Mine is my daily driver and I commute over 30 miles each way, each and every day Watching the petrol guage drain, expecially as 20 miles of the 60 is through the heart of Norwich, crawling at a snails pace. I never fill her up past half full as don't want to carry the excess weight......only issue is the stop at the garage every other day for more fuel. Wouldn't change her for the world though....I love the feeling everyday when I leave work, walk out of the door and there she is......my baby just waiting for me to take her home! Stresses of work now all gone! There you have it....."a Zed is good for your health!"
