  2. Zmanalex has not returned my PM's I did return your PMs mate. I even sent you over a schematic to you on the 30th April with the actuator circled which I now notice you have posted up yesterday in another wanted thread. Try CMS or Keyser. Alex. Hi Alex, I hope I haven't caused you any offence but since your schematic message, I then replied just asking whether you had the fore-mentioned part as circled and how much that would be please. Thank you for the further contacts; Keyser has come back to me but he has already sold this part from his breaker but I will speak with Clark Motorsport as above! Thanks again

  4. Zmanalex has not returned my PM's GIXXERUK so I've decided I need a different approach. I've now pm's Keyser at the Zed Shed as well as Clark Motorsport so I'm feeling hopeful someone will be able to point me in the right direction........once the boot is open, I've decided to also do the rear wiper removal which may help to protect any new actuator with a lighter lid slamming down onto it everyday!

  6. Hi guys, I have been referred to you in regards to my search for a boot locking actuator (part 12 as highlighted on the attachment)? I have been dismantling the boot locking mechanism on a weekly basis for the past 2 months after it began seizing after I popped the boot and therefore it would not allow me to shut / close or secure the boot lid. Each time this occurs I have to remove the locking mechanism plate with its 8 gold bolts; unscrew and remove the seized actuator in order to dismantle the actuator module to reset the 2 plastic cogs inside which get stuck at a full-turn. Although this was very annoying and time consuming, it was manageable. Unfortunately now it has now done this in reverse and therefore the boot is locked closed and I have no access to the locking mechanism or the seized actuator! I believe from some research I've done I should be able to get into the boot with the emergency cord (located under the rear strut brace) and with a simple pull the boot should manually release but I do need to get a replacement part before performing this pull. I have spoken to Nissan and they quoted £208.80 inc V.A.T as they will not sell me the actuator as a lone part but instead I have to purchase the entire boot locking mechanism and plate......what a con! Can you assist or point me in the right direction to sourcing this actuator please?

Good evening forum members, administrators and guests, I have formulated an event in order to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance (www.eaaa.org.uk) that will be completed on Saturday 9th August 2014. I have formed a small team (including my little sister) who will be jumping our first ever "Freefall" skydive from the centre at Beccles in Norfolk. I have been in communication with Amy, Sophie, Haydon, Karla and Rhiannon from the East Anglian Air Ambulance who have been great with their advice and support. So far I've done a recorded interview with the EAAA who will be writing a blog to be placed onto their website about our jump; we've had t-shirts promoting our event produced and I'm looking for local businesses who would be willing donate to the event. I've also today distributed posters around the local amenity stores, doctors surgery and public house. I've managed to secure my employer (Barnham Broom Hotel) to be a supporter to the event. The EAAA are also including my interview in their monthly newsletter. I have now setup a Just Giving page (www.justgiving.com/skydive-eaaa) and a Vodafone Unique Text code ('EAAA98 £5' to 70070) in order to allow family, friends, colleagues and supporters to donate in an easy format towards this event whilst ensuring they can be confident that the entire donation (plus gift aid if selected) will be given directly to the charity. The reason for this topic was to firstly ask you all to kindly please donate to this "Freefall" event, any small amount would be greatly appreciated by my team and I......this is definitely something way outside of my sister's or my comfort zone and certainly will not be repeated. I told someone today that the reason for this was that we're both scared of heights and this gentleman's response was "it's not the height you should be scared about son, it's the ground hurtling toward you"........."that's really helped sir" I replied The second reason for this topic was to ask whether anyone had any clever ideas how I can promote this event further? The East Anglian Air Ambulance is solely funded by charitable donations from the people of East Anglia and they are indebted to those who continue to support them. Last year they undertook 1,670 missions of which 554 were in Norfolk. Operating an enhanced emergency care service is a complex and costly business. They operate 365 days a year, flying missions day and night; currently each mission costs in the region of £2,448. Their medical teams comprise of highly qualified doctors and critical care paramedics, operating from state-of-the-art helicopters. No other organisation in our region can deliver such enhanced care to patients quickly and wherever they may be and when necessary, fly them to whichever hospital in the region is best equipped to continue the life-saving work they have begun. I myself have experienced the care provided by the East Anglian Air Ambulance back in 2001 following a nasty road traffic collision. My thanks and respect will always be with the emergency service crews that attended this accident. I strongly believe that "it is a service that anyone could need at any time". Hopefully you may never have to meet with the crews in this type of incident but I'm sure we all know someone who has already benefited from their care! I am covering the entire cost of this "Freefall" and therefore ALL donations that I kindly receive will be passed directly to the EAAA through the Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/skydive-eaaa Thank you to everyone who has read this topic and a special thanks to those who may feel they can make a small donation to this charity, Greg (BACON)

  12. Hi Kinglozzer, if you're based in Norwich the best people to call is Power & Performance at Honingham on 01603 880060. They are Powerflow stockists / specialists but they will build or fit any exhaust system you wish. I was there only the other day and he's currently rebuilding a 1/4 mile american muscle dragster car.........he was telling me the engine rebuild alone was sent to a supplier in America at a cost of £20k so these guys know what they're doing! The manifold is a piece of art. They do everything but he's also happy to help with the smaller jobs.....I was there for a quick section to be welded into my stock exhaust where it had corroded and was blowing. I will probably require a whole new system on my 2005 Zed soon but the new mid section will certainly now out-live the remaining exhaust. He was telling me that he's had 3 or 4 regular Zed owners into him recently so could be classed as a Zed specialist soon. I wouldn't use anyone else; just tell him Greg from Barnham Broom sent you.

  14. Might try twisting my spare wheel to see if it fixes any of the issues.......................much likelihood that this could resolve by ESP fault code???
  15. Clock spring has now been replaced and it was indeed the part I needed as the Airbag fault I had for the past 10 months has now cleared!!! Driving home from the garage who have had it for a week but have completed the job for under £400, compared to Nissan who wanted to start by replacing the drivers airbag at a cost of £1,400.................which clearly wasn't faulty, only to have an ESP fault appear! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I was only 50 yards down the road from the garage when all of a sudden she started jumping and braking harshly without any assistance from me....then the ESP OFF light appeared and I cannot reset by either pushing the ESP Off button on the lower dash or by turning the ignition off.
  16. It could be related to the issue I am currently trying to resolve.........strangely my issue is a fault with a flashing ABS light!!! This may seem strange but my fault it appears is due to a more level of communication from the electrics into the drivers airbag through a part called the 'Clock Spring'. The clock spring is the part that all of the airbag, stereo and cruise control wiring is located (basically anything that is controlled from the steering wheel controls or the stalks. My clock spring it seems is not passing a strong enough current (not technically minded so I might not be explaining this too well) and therefore the ABS system sees an intermittent fault and flags it as serious......I suppose the possibility of the airbags possibly going off at the correct time is serious but it will be costing me a hefty sum!

Wow.....I haven't been on the forum in a few weeks and I've just found this welcome has reached 13 pages ......I think mine only reached 1/2 page! lol Anyway, nice looking motor and you're right Grey Gunmetal is best.......but let's not start that whole discussion again
  22. Thanks Flyboy and for the attached link but this clock spring does appear to be slightly different from others listed on ebay, not sure if this is perhaps originating from an import model but there seems to be different connectors!
  23. In the flesh, I really don't think it looks that sporty......perhaps it's because I knew it was electric and electric and sportscar doesn't seem to fit for me......just my opinion.
