  1. No interest, even with Spring finally here ? S.
  2. Hi, I have a pair of used Bridgestone RE050A 225/45/R18 for sale. These are the front tyres for 350Z's. They are not to be confused with the rubbish RE040's that were fitted as standard to the majority of 350Z's from the factory. As I'm sure you are aware the Bridgestone RE050A are fitted to Ferarri's, AMG Mercedes, Porsches' and other high performance vehicles, so they are a top quality tyre. The tyres have between 5mm and 6mm tread remaining, no puncture repairs, and are both structurally sound. Brand new you would be looking at £140 each. I am offering these at £120 for the pair... PM me if you are interested - Collection from Bedfordshire. Cheers and Beers S.
  3. Or do the tape deck hack and install a car PC in the rear cubby... S.
  4. Try using "Hibernate" from CF instead of Windows shut down/boot up, much faster. S.
  5. Hi John, thanks for the information. I am actively looking for a couple of 18" 452's for the front end of my Zed. If you can find out when the next shipment is due it would be a great help. I am in Bedfordshire. Cheers S.
  6. Pleased to see it even works on worn out old balls... S.
  7. I must win... 2,500 miles since April last year ! S.
  8. I brought an ex-demo 08 coupe with 9k miles on the clock. They changed out scratched drivers door armrest. The only thing I feel a bit miffed about was that the tyres on it were a bit low on tread. Think they had been passed on from car to car. Anyway I have changed them for Falkens. No other issues so far. S.
  9. The EU are looking at banning large screen Plasma TV's because of their high power consumption both in operation, and in standby. S.
  10. Thanks - now 'er Indoors knows what to buy me for my Birthday... S.
  11. "trim removal tool"... Is this different to a screwdriver ? Maybe something for me to buy... S.
  12. Thanks for the recommendation Jak. I am having some Falkens fitted to my Zed in the next couple of weeks, and may well get EliteTech to check the wheel alignment. Looking on the map they are not too far away. S.
  13. 63? Paul Sod it... I thought that the present Computer Generation didn't know Binary !
  14. Took the Z out today for the first time since Christmas. It was GREAT ... Can't stop grinning. S.

  16. I was taken in to hospital with the same symptoms as you. After starving me for 3 days with the only food a biscuit (not sure if it was a RT), they sent me home. A grumbling appendix was the diagnosis. Forty years have passed, and no recurrence (yet).... However, a bit wary of sailing round the world single handed... S.
  17. +2 Try driving in Naples, maniacal .... S.
  18. Um... That's interesting. Sounds like you are experiencing the same effect as me. I have planned on replacing the fronts with Falkens after Christmas, and will get the tracking checked at the same time. As I said there is a fair amount of tread left on my Stones, so they should still be working. I find it difficult to believe that it is caused by the tyre temperature changing over 1/2 mile of sedate driving. I have never noticed this effect with any of the many cars that I have driven, why should the Zed be different ? Anyone with a tyre temperature gauge that they can loan me for an investigation ? S.
  19. I haven't, but why would the steering suddenly change ? S.
  20. Got a bit of a weird problem, which I hope someone can throw light on. For about 1/2 mile or so from cold my 350z steering feels very light, almost like driving on a slippery road. After that I get the normal steering response with the right amount of feedback, and all is well. I am sure it's not a tyre heating issue, as I get the same symptoms whether I drive at 70 or 7 MPH. The fronts are Bridgestones, and have a reasonable tread left. Could it be the PAS, or something associated with it ? Cheers S.
  21. Glad you are not looking to buy a Plasma TV. It is technology that was used as a stopgap while big LCD TV were being developed. How long the display lasts is questionable, and despite being CE marked the majority cause chronic radio interference. Recently brought a Sony Bravia 37" LCD which is great and has lots of inputs. S.
  22. Highlight of yesterdays qualifying for me was Liuzzi having reduced his car to a bag of bits, chasing after a marshal who was making off with his steering wheel. He then replaced the steering wheel on it's column to comply with F1 rules. How anyone could possibly steer the remains of his car with the one remaining rear road wheel is beyond me ! S.
