1. Nick, The photos are great, thanks for taking the time to post them. I will probably use the same earthing point as you, but will try and run all my other cables down the middle of the car under the center console as I have a switch mounted there to control the IGN signal to the PC power supply. My PC is mounted on a black felt covered MDF board cut to the same size as the original. It has a slot near the back for the cables. All being well, next weekend, I will get all of the bits installed... Cheers & Beers Stewart
2. Thanks Guys, I was sure that a suitable earthing point was not too far away from the rear cubby. A photo of exactly where it is will help a lot. It will save me removing panels unnecessarily. I am taking photos of my efforts, and will post then on the forum when finished. Cheers Stewart
3. Hi, I am installing a Car PC in the rear cubby, and am wondering the nearest(best) chassis earth is. I could drill a small hole under the cubby, clean away the paintwork, and attach the earth there. The problem is that I might drill through something important like wiring, or the tank... Anyone found a suitable earth point close by ? Cheers Stewart
4. All going the "sorted" way. Thanks guys Stewart
5. Thanks. I have sent R35LEE a PM. Stewart
6. I am looking to source a heated seat switch. I assume that the same type is used on all Z models. T.I.A. Stewart
7. Ah Ha... Yes, I have one of those, or at least the phone cradle fitted. I think that the dealer removed the Bluetooth bit before I got the car. Thanks Stewart
8. Would be pleased if it's a Sat Nav module, as the car does not have one. However I don't think so. Here is a clue... I should have posted it first time round. Stewart
9. While investigating where I might run cables for my future carpc I removed the plastic tray in the rear storage compartment. I was surprised to find a module fitted to the underside of the tray. I have looked through all the technical documentation downloaded from various sites, but can find no reference to it. What does it do ? My ZED is a 08 Coupe. T.I.A. Stewart
10. That would be great, many thanks. I suspect that there will be rather a colour mismatch between the cubby cover, and the dash on my 08. If the cover could be obtained separately then I would be tempted go ahead and make up a new box. I would do this in fiberglass, as I had some experience with it in the past with a kit car. That way I wouldn't have to mess around with cutting to fit a display, and I could be sure that the fixings were in the right place, because I put them there. Cheers Stewart
11. Ah, it's rather irritating having to wait for your item to come from Japan before you can check it out. OK your's on being pre facelift. I have been searching for any information or photos of what a facelift "non Nav" center console looks like from the back, but so far have drawn a blank. More diggin required... Cheers Stewart
12. I am in the same cubby limbo as you. My 08 Z has the sticky-out lid fixed to the box. How are you getting on with the JDM retractable ? Cheers Stewart
