mine are the same so fairly common for aftermarket leds , confused me for a moment when i got mine but works no probs.

sadly internal upgrades for the Z arent really worth it for anything but going Fi , b=not becuase the parts are expsenive as you can get rods , pistons etc pretty cheap from the US but speaking form experience here (had to get a valve bucket done and the labour even at a good rate and done quick i must add) is a big show stopper and will run equal to or more than parts ! so if you got the skills so to speak maybe worth it but dumping a few £K inot internals just for 20-30 bhp aint worth it ! its why the new bread of turbo hot hatches are so popular just give ema remap and intercooler and maybe and exhaust and your close or more than Z power !

rev counter reveals all , 276 6.5K , 296 7k ,313HR is 7.5k AFAIK (someone wiht HR should be able to confirm) infatc just seena shot of th dash and yes HR 313bhp has 7.5k redline so there you go just ask the owner what the red line is !

the bumper hole will be better as its more direct anda shorter path but as i wasnt about to cut a big hole in my bumper i went ducted. as i said though it almsot certianly makes no measureable power but i know its keeps the piping to the Tb cooler whihc is always good .

somthing liek this you mean ?? not very clear buts it an 80mm pipe from the fron bumper sraihgt up the air box , unlikly to give any ram air effect Chris said , youd need one heck of a funnel for that to work so big the drag wouldnt be worth it. does howver give nice cold air , plenum and pipe now feel much cooler after a dirve im prety sure its doing somthing even if theres no gains.

wel for an envy rep then yes only envy (z store) but ep racing (also on here reps too) think the seibon do them too but im not sure. if seibon do a veilside then alot of places will have them , also probably worth droping Chilli Red a pm as she might still have one or be be able to get you one .

you say that but at my hieght it some times feels liek the floor would be better , just rest agasint the rear shefl area !

if you need touch up go to nissan , got mine a few weeks back for the same price as that inc a litle pot of laquer. fixed a big ole groove the car had since i got it , ok its not invisible due to a slight c*ck up on my part but the match is spot on so looks way better thana big gouge but if its below the visible part id leave it .

lol howd you come across that ,didnt know you frequented there ! just shows how little they know about the Z wiht all the comments being along the lines of its almost stock ! only saw one post wher the guy know about the bumper etc ! funnyest thing is though i bet your cars 10 nay 50 times better than what said nay sayers drive !

what i menat was make sure all the earth leads on the head unit are connected to the same part of the chasis but as you have them all connected togther thats not the issue. you actually dont need the additional earth to make it work (i dont run one) if your not using the internal amp on your head unit. it does sound liek some sort of bad earthing somewhere , might not even be your head units wires.

sounds alittle liek youve got some sort of ground loop going on , have you got an aftermarket amp runing the speakers ? it could simply by the grounds for the headunit arent connected to the same point on the chasis so id give thata shot as first easy option.

seats are next on my list , stil thinking about a single exit. guess it depends on how loud its gonna be really. definaklty a weight saver though for anyone wondering how much pick up a back box !

same mate of mine has his type tunes to about 250-260 wiht a few bolt ons , no back seats and up to a tonne hes ahead then it evens out. put simply though if you want a car that will give the first 70-100 bhp for cheap you need a turbo thenall the mods really do is just wind up the boost. but if you can afford to boost the Z forget being caught altogther !

are they ? i looked in to these as i think they are qute light and certainly cheap but being discon could be qhy there so many on ebay at silly money. not sure if they clear the brembos with out spacers but youd prob want them anyhows as the offsets are feable (same as stock). ive only ever seen them on one car and was not sure if i still liked them .

well if you really cant make the trip to RS/ Abbey then you could still get map done .... uprev sell for about £450-500 dependong on pastega tax etc (its $700) a full tunable licence that comes with the cables and software to tune 1 car. so you get it form them with some base maps adn will email you a couple more base don data logging for free. not as good value and not quite sucha good tune but will get you there , pretty common state side from what ive read.

wont be much from japex as ross works really fast ! when he did my Y pipe by the time i walked down the road for a coffee he was done when i got back ! bascially it depnds on how rusted on the old bits are but either way Ross will sort you out quick for a good price , booked in for a service next week so might see you there .

id definatly hold off till you ahve the Y pipe or get that done same time as its cheap and will make a difference.
