  1. first one is what id call the limit and id only do that if i couldnt get the width i needed for clearance.
  2. wish mine was that cheap , going non nissan route as its just an oil change afterall !
  3. +1 if they really stretched out so the side walls are at 45 degrees, a little stretch is not that noticeble. if you start going to the silly extreme the americans do then its going to mess your handling up too , not to mention the potential diameter issues as i ahve no idea how you gonna work out rolling radias's without just putting them on and getting the tape measure out.
  4. i think the bolt holes are marked once you get the boot liner off so youl just need the centres.
  5. thats sounds reasonable , gyln hopkins st albans not so. i mena for chris sake its an oil change !
  6. just rang my local stealers and ... omfg £212 for a p1!
  7. so is this a non Z meet then due to all ging to wales run ?
  8. pretty easy to do i have a big ole trumpet and a 3inch pipe that runs from behind my grille up and into the air box. took all 05 minutes to fit then just made a piece of plastic to seal the gaps round the pipe to the airboxes funny shapped entrance.
  9. cheer Sarah , il give it a go see if they have any.
  10. yeah i heard it wasnt a spray and voila match . had this deep gouge in my fornt bumper sicne i got the car and just decided to fill and see so even a rough match will look better than the big black line !
  11. Am i right in thinking that azure has a blue laquer ? so does anyone know where i can get some azure and what ever else goes with it to do a small touch up spray ?
  12. nooo dont splice the sub woofer out rca to anything ! it should be a bare wire blue or blue and white. what ever you do dont cut your rcas up ! the sextons loom has wire G in th epicture yes ? a bare blue wire , your looking for the same wire coming form your jvc loom. it may be bare or it may be aprt of the loom already.
  13. right thi sis what needs splicing its just one wire as Robs pics show . viewtopic.php?f=17&t=31260 wire g as it says is the amp signal , this will either be a)loose already on most head units or already in the output loom from the headunit. my first jvc unit it was loose second already in the loom but either way it will be marked in some way as either amp power or power antenna. since your unit fire up and you have the rcas hooked in its a 99% chance thats the only issue so you just need to get a termial block or some crimp on spade connectors and your done ! connection doesnt need to be super neat just solid and insulated since its 12v live but its not a signal so long as its making contact your good .
  14. just north of london and i dont mind a little drive if theres nywhere near by to meet and rip things apart. the sub lead should be free since the the bose just uses a front/rear left/right singal and filters for the sub itself so your OK there. what you should ahve is a blue or blue white wire on the head unit that needs to be spliced , lemme dig out a some pics from another thread.
  15. thought it was in the lay up quality , the better ones are very close to optimium resin to carbon ratio others are just slopped togther and thus contain more resin and are thicker, the really light ones are made from pre preg. having seen the varis on BM's car it looks like a very well done wet lay posibly some pre preg hence it weighs naff all. theres a thread on my350z (grr still refing that site again !) with stock bonnet weight vs a carbon (not sure which) and the carbon was about the same maybe 1/4 pound heavyer but that was wiht lots of extra material for vents etc.
  16. loving the finish on those Ian , never into the engine bling thing but now i tihnk youve started somthing better .. engine anti bling .
  17. ok so your head unit fires up but no sound at all , have you spliced the amp signal to tell the bose amps to turn on ?
  18. direct fit , YES the only difference is the big metal volocity stack on the inside . if you wip your filter out youl see a tiny one in pre 06 cars and a big funnel in the rev up's , there a thread with pics floating about somewhere.
  19. you have no steering wheel controls are you sure its a bose ? if its not a bose (no sub behind driver = no bose) then you havethe wrong lead and your getting no sound becuase you have the pre outs hooked up to speakers .
  20. i like em ,colours not my taste but youve just added another one to my wheel choice list !
  21. wanted to know for sure if the couple of times that i have had ESp off and cauhgt the back due to a little less grip than expected if it was me catching it or the esp lying like it does in alot of cars these days . Audi and bmw i know for sure lie , push the button and it just relaxes the settings but will still kick in just let you slip a little. to turn them OFF you hold the button , my old 3 series used to come up with all sorts of light on the dash when it was off fully , dads new audi comes up wiht all these !!! and warnings saying its off ... still cant spin the 4wd though !
  22. my fave shot is right at the bottom... https://www.fontananissanracing.com/Eng ... art_3.html dang that one big intake !
  23. just had my front plate off and removed the silly big plastic mount. if its been mounted as stock UK car the youl have 2 huge holes that for the life me i cant see why and 2 screw holes with plastic fixings in them. ive got mine now mounted on a piece of perspex so it sits right back againt the bumper , tried to get it to stick to the bumper but i tihnkt he perpex i used it abit thick so doesnt like bending. you might be able to make your own mount depending on how wide the mounting holes youve got i guess its plate off and have a look !
