  2. ok could be totaly off here but whats your front tyre pressure like ? if theyre right on the upper limits that would soften the feel a bit due to less contact patch, could be nothing to do wiht that though

  4. looking good , spacers a must though as im looking at a set of them in 18 and they only seem to come in feable ofsets. the yanks would be using 40mm spacers if they could on those !
  5. personally i tihnk its quite well weighted maybe a touch less assist needed but my dad drove it for a just a short manouver and said it felt heavy so i would suggest either getting a drive in another z somehow bets bet being a tester at the stealers or at least get some else familair with the car to drive yours. it well be that somthings a miss , not sure if the Z has electronic or hydraulic assist so it could be a speed sense thing helping to much ?

    well they say a good set of brakes is better than a few more ponnies and i think the Z breakes pretty well for a stock setup and given your are track brakes wiht less weight it must hawl up hard , so need to get to one of your nippon races this year.

    ormaybe hes just been BS'd by previous owners of cars hes driven. would love to see a striahgt drag vs a stock Z . your gonna be mile ahead till you top out early but youve obviously got your gearing set up right so you just about get there then have to brake for the next turn.

    christ it must rip up to 125 wiht all your weight reduction , 2 steps lower ratio and a good tune ! bet its still pulling hard then too !
  10. yeah dont worry about it , most places will just give you sizes to keep both front and rear the same , or they sell packages with cheaper sizes to keep the advertised price down but lets face it when your buying 20's or really fat 18's for the rear you know its not going to be cheap when you go down that road in the first place. its all just advertiseing to entice you to buy bigger rims , same rason volks arent that easy to come buy at your average wheel place ,i mean you put up a head line price for a 18's thats more than 1k ex tyres than the erst are in 20" wiht tyres its scares the kids off. then add in the fact that most cars are fwd and wont take more than 8" up front then you look at some of what the yanks put on the Z and you see why they dont stock the stuff we need.

    whats the top speed cap out at in 5th now then , out of interest ? i know whart you mean by 6th is not much use on the trakc any more my old focus ST hit top speed in 5th too 6th was there for cruising.

  13. I have the envy rep , fitted so tight I had to teleive it a little and even then it still held in place while I screwed it down . From what I hear on the US forums about the genuine veilsude they are the same , designed to be a too tight fit and sanded back a little so I wouldn't pay too much extra for the real thing . Also inthinl Sarah has a varis going cheap might be worth a look.

  16. youve got a jvc so some good news and bad. bad news is they takes quite a while to read the drive no what what size how much is on it etc good news is they support pretty much any drive as long as its formatted in FAT32 as it will power any laptop drive unlike some units that only take low power drives so your choice is pretty big , you could use usb sticks theyr cheap but wont take all your tunes in one go whihc can be good as it means you wont ahve a huuge list like i do OR get a laptop hard drive (must be less than 320gb i think) and have everything in one place oooorr if you can get by on say 80-100gb get an old ipod and take the 1.8inch dirve out of that and use an ebay case for a fiver which is what i used to have before the drive died

  18. are putting down resin first then letting it almost dry before adding carbon or just laying the carbon straight on to fresh resin ? looks like there might be some bubbles in your mix too. good to see this forum has many talented and experimental members .

  20. cant say about the other but the JVC flip and face if you want them too. you dont really need it wiht the Z though as they are bolted to the bulkhead ! (least mine is)
  21. yeah TC is messed due to rolling radiius of rears being way to small ! your rears are nearly 15mm down on the radius , front are about as close as you can get so up the rear profile to 30 and it will sort the TC. im guessing the aplce you got them from hasnt dealt wiht the Z before as it has larger rear rolling rad than the front by some 10mm.
  22. nice work , looks like you managed to get the unit to flip without trimming the surround either which is good. mines got loooads trimmed off the top.

  24. same , looks good (another azure to take ideas from ) also is that a fujitsubo exhaust ? sits well if it is , cant get mine to sit tucked up like that
