  1. oh easily , car audio has got to be one of the best things to buy used. as long as you have a rough idea about the stuff your looking at you can get some really good kit for elo cheapo brand money or little more. now looking for a niew 10" dvc sub .
  2. Hey Whitey nw that youve had it in for a little while what its like having a decent sub behind you ?? I have just got my plate out so am going to move my sub to the same spot , possibly ported too. im guessing it hits quite hard being directly behind you , at the mo im thinking ported vs sell sub and get a 10 (would laso mena i could get more out of my amp with a DVC).
  3. id go with fully amped comps up from if your using the amp i think your using (some huuge audiobahn jobby). fans id go one in one out at the ends of the amp so the air is forced along the length , you might even get away under volting them depending on how it goes. should be a nice and Loud install , infact id be interested seeing just how loud as i recon the shap/size of the Z might make it a good car good ICE car but ive never seen it really used as one.
  4. started down the grinding route to put a slot in it..... gave the bigger pair of molegrips + locking them on silly tight ago and ..... of they came but my gosh why did nissan do them up so tight ! like 10+ bolts all yanked up to hold that POS bose speaker !
  5. yes the bolts on the bolt plate, got the bottom one out and the sides but there 2 right int he middle at the top that are just rounding off ! really anoying now as the plates just hanign all floppy !
  6. grrr facor 10 mr spoc .... got the trims clear enough to ge tot the bolts but the 2 middle ones at the bottom just wont budge ! i cant seems to get a spanner on enough for the heads to undo them. anyone got any ideas or sneaky methods of gripping those two where it curves ?
  7. Ive ran the yellow RCA cable and plugged it into the Rear view camera input (video input) but the camera instructions tell me to connect the live to the reversing light loom.(so that it switches the camera on when in reverse) I have a wire on my Kenwood unit called "reverse sensor wire" i will splice that up to the reverse lamp harness also . yes conenct the wire on your head unit to the reverse lamp too or do as buster siad and wire it to a switched live. i was going to do that but figured if i had to push the switch everytime id not bother using it !
  8. if you just mena to give a flat look wiht out the gaps at the side that shouldnt be to hard , just put some carboard up agaisnt it and draw round to make a demplate. should be both funcational and look quite good once your done , it always looks like cr*p mid way through maing it so your doing pretty well. when i make my fibeglass boxes that look reallllllllllly bad til thyre sanded and covered !
  9. i pulled out the main cluster to reach in and splice the smaller cluster wiht the reverse bulb in it. once your spliced just run the wires back to the camera and one back to the head unit to signal reverse gear along with video feed . either that or youl be taking of splash guards etc and going in form underneath.
  10. no worse than the mess i just made putting donw the first layers on my fiberglass toneau cover ! wod goes to gether quick too so good progress

  14. 10.1" should have remebered to put that to start with , doh ! also if anyone want to pick up il be at ISTS and if its still not sold modified nats.
  15. ok should really have put that 10.1" screen .
  16. yeah it not lower so most stuff ok its just when thers a slope you might have issues like going up carpark ramps.
  17. yeah you mihgt not get on the ramps afterwards , i know i have to watch for ramps and bumps even though its not lower . any tilting of the car can get very close to scrapping , did mine somthing rotten in a multstory once
  18. yeah Vs fron in carbon is about the same where ever and if your lucky enough to work in a bodyshop ten fitting shouldnt be any trouble
  19. hmm fitment is pretty good i guess but it all dpenda on how you class fitment. there not real gaps round the edges maybe a a small one here and there and had to relieve a few smalla reas but me and my dad had it screwed on in hafl hour or so. its not hel don the usual way though as thers no holes in it so its got about 5 across the fron in the middle section and some more round the sides underneath the wheel arch area. it is definalty a diy and not abody shop job though , heck once it was wedged on it stayed there on its own !
  20. looking god , nice to see you got an 07+ bonnet too
  21. nice clean Z , liking those wheels too.
  22. thats the envy VS rep... http://z-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseacti ... entCat=252 carbon plus white shoud look good , i see youve already got a carbon bonnet and the more carbon you add the better the white/carbon 2tone effect will be.
  23. defiantly ! VS style splitter on mine , no other skirts etc yet
