Hi all, I have used the search function but I can't find a thread which matches... It seems I have a very small tear in the roof apporximately 1" long, I'm looking for recommendations to have this repaired so if anyone has any recomended companies hopefully lcoal to Chester and the surrounding area please let me know. I think it may have been caused when one of the hydrolic pistons popped off late last year due to a loose nut which i ended up just reattching and tightening up... I wish i had noticed this back then as the car was still under warranty at the time Google just throws guides at me and if I were to attempt this repair myself I'd end up bonding with the car a little more than I'd want Cheers Andy

I have nothing to add other than this is exactly what I would love to do although I have driven a convertible in Ohio and Pennsylvannia in June and that was hot enough! As far as the West coast the problem I have is most of my peers are based in San Francisco area and I owe all of them at least one beer so i'd end up staying in that area Enjoy and please report back your experiences and any other tips you pick up

I forgot to post but on my way back from Cheshire Farm Ice Cream ermmm Farm a couple of weekends ago I was stopped waiting to come out of a junction when I spied a Red Roadster turning towards the farm, got a wave.... I waved back said to my girlfriend wow I've never seen a red one never mind a red roadtser before... I got the reply "Saddo" both from her and her mother who she was on the phone to BTW if it was you I was the Azure Roadster with a blonde in the passenger seat laughing at me.

I had the same recently and it was low pads, it sounds like the rear but mine was the front. I got my pads from demon tweels (Ferodo) and fitted locally. I can help you out locally with lifts but I'm only in the office Monday and Friday :-(

Yeah the Marina Sands was still under construction when I was there. I walked along that stretch of the track as it's right next to the flyer; when watching on TV you dont appreciate how narrow the track is in places especially over the bridge next to the Fullerton. Fantastic city and I've made it known to my boss that I would relocate there given the opportunity

My girlfriend seems to be enjoying it a little too much to be fair but I'm impressed she's quicly adapting from a 1.2 clio I meant to post I saw a Ginger driving around Chester Business Park in the week, Wendesday or Thursday just after lunch with a male driver and female passenger . I happened to look out my office window when it went past (honest boss). Not sure if it's a member or not and i thought you may have a Ginger?!? I'm getting old and easily confused

Brilliant, you shamed me into at least attempting cleaning it last weekend. It needs a lot more elbow grease but it looks a lot better than it did. I didnt see another Zed but then again my girlfriend was driving and i was a little nervous, only just added her to the insurance and she's only driven it a few times.

Hmmm I would have said me but the shiny bit... Was it on OE06 plate and in which direction? I went through there a couple of times today, once probably around 1.30 going towards Overleigh (girlfriend was driving) and once at around 4pm going up towards Fountains roundabout with me driving.

It was intersting to see the 599GTO as a friend has that on order but the California he has is awesome, you feel the sound!

These guys do one off evening courses and I know a car based one has cropped up in the past, again it's typically in the North Wales area so may not be relevant... http://www.welshotimaging.co.uk/academy/evenings.php I haven't attended one of these myself but many friends have including the car focused evening a couple of months back and they highly recommend them. I believe it can be a bit of a sales pitch as it's only something like £20 including food however the group tends to be made up of people of all abilities and they have specialists for the evenings particular subject at hand to help with any tips and feedback as well as building up contacts. As I say, i've not attended and have no affiliation with the above company but have heard good things about their offerings. taht said they only list the next two months events which doesnt include cars.

Well I've just been out and checked, the rocker switch is a boot lock and wonty allow you to open the boot - Zugara I assume this will be the case on yours too. I assume this is to stop anyone you leave your vehicle and the valet key from snooping - not sure what circumstances that would be though.

Hi, I have just checked in the glove box (behind passenger seat) and on the roof of the box is a plastic "blank" no little hole to push your finger into however near where the lock mechanism there is a rocker switch but that looks like it's to stop the roof from being operated. I should have checked but it's snowing and I didnt want to look like an idiot trying to open my roof in the work carpark..... admittedly the light isnt too good and i couldnt see the symbol fully but it looked like the warning on the dashh when the roof isn't "locked" in place. I'm wondering if this is specific to the MY06 roadster only?? Cheers

Jeez you risked it up there?!.... my girlfriend was telling me last night it was mental up there as they hadnt cleared any spaces and trolleys were abandoned all over the place so she went to Morrissons where they were more prepared. Think i'll be giving all shopping parks a wide berth until the new Year

With regards to having to top up the washer bottle... I top mine up, leave it a minute and find it's gone down quite a bit as there's trapped air in the bottle. it usually take another litre or two when i do this... i thought I was topping up far to regularly.

Hi Pete, This happened to me on the way into work a couple of weeks ago... I believe it happened when I had my dipped on and pressed the screenwash as the first squirt on dipped also does the headlights. Anyway I went to check on them to figure out what to do an hour or so later when it was light and they had reset on their own with the "warmth" of the sun so they shouldnt need much. I've yet to see either of your cars around Chester :-(

I used these a few years back on my previous car. I was happy with the work and finish however they were a little more expensive than competitors but after speaking with them I could tell why.

Yep due to the temp. I bought mine in March this year and the dealer flattly refused to allow me to check the operation of the roof as it was aound +3c; they did however arrange to store it in a heated showroom over night to allow me to check the operation. When I asked about it I was told by the dealership not to operate under +6c, I keep meaning to check the manual to verify this.
