  1. I've not seen this one around town. Although I had a flash from a black Zed last weekend (reg ended in XHT IIRC) and i assumed it was you....? I did wave back but by the sounds of it it wasn't you..... hmmmm. I dont think it was Sasha as it wasn't the same year. I'll keep my eyes peeled too.
  2. Sigh, shall I switch the lights off for the country? The authority is in a no win situation has as been previously said. This is detrsoying peoples lives all for a new telly and pair of trainers for these low live scum.
  3. I'm pretty certain it was you, as I said I heard you and looked up to see you pulling out of the junction. You turned right out of the carpark, not sure if you went into town or were heading up towards the A55, if the latter did you spot the Ka in the wall by the lake on the park and ride roundabout? I elft about 10 minutes after I spotted you and couldnt fathom how it ended up where it was.
  4. Or rather I heard it first I believe it may have been Sasha leaving for the day as i only caught the backside of a black 350, sounds lovely and made me look out the window.... prompty switch my laptop off and leave work for a nice drive home
  5. Thanks, good to know. Sounds like the MOT went well if you haven't had the dreaded phone call with a teeth sucking sound yet
  6. Yep, I've been through it hundreds of times and I honestly dont think I could have done much more. Maybe a much more capable driver could have. The main thing is no one is hurt and the car can/will be fixed. Anyway, I'm not sure if Sasha is still around as i've not seen his car but it sounds like him as apart from yourselves i've always got a flash from him when we've crossed paths but i typically dont see him until it's too late either Edited due to typo's etc.
  7. I had a little pirouette on the M53 a couple of weeks back, I hit standing water at around 55mph and aquaplaned. I was very lucky as never collected anyone as it was 19.30ish however I was also unlucky to have scraped the barrier which took a chunk out of a wheel and left a nice "go faster stripe" down the driverside also leaving me facing the wrong way while traffic was coming towards me.
  8. I haven't seen Sasha's in it's usual parking space for a while. You wont see mine around for a couple of more weeks too
  9. Actually this thread has been helpful; I've been to NY before but my girlfriend hasn't and it's a milestone birthday (30) next year and I think it would be a good way to celebrate so I've bookmarked a few of the links (used Expedia last time). I Stayed at the Hitlon Garden Inn Times Square, basic hotel but fantastic location. It just seems so expensive especially as it was $2 to £1 when i went (2007); I doubt I'd be lucky enough for work to send me around her birthday Enjoy
  10. Exactly, wit O2 complete an online form and you get a message a few hours later to say it's done although they quote 28 days IIRC. I did this when handing over my old one to my girlfriend Doing a little google shows that if it's PAYG or monthly Orange charge the unlock fee, diabolical if you ask me! Edited as I didnt say it was with O2
  11. Yeah i'm not sure it has a W though... thats the one i thought you meant. I spoke to him about a year back seemed like a nice bloke
  12. I think I've seen this one too, near Cheshire Farm ice Cream a couple of months back, got a wave too as we were both at a junction going opposite waves with the roofs down
  13. I think I know the one you're referring to, if the reg ends in STS i do know of it. I also dont like over the top spoliers Oh and I'll try and wave if i spot you... azure roadster
  14. Good job I wasn't spotted... and I reverse park
  15. Yep, I usually get in for before 7.30am just so i can get my "usual space" didnt leave until 10.30pm last night though. there are a couple of empty buildings near my office where the carparks are quiet too... you just need to know where to look. Oh and the pay can always be better
  16. No Azure Roadster? Mine is tucked up in one of the smaller buildings carparks, there are a few I see daily but don't know who the owners are.
  17. Yeah not sure which Island it is, I know Paradise is up the north part my *cough* hairdresser *cough* told me she went there when staying around Purto Plata area but i never got chance to go there. Which area did you go Mr Ricey? Ahhh just checked and it seems you went to the La Romana area too judging by the Island name. It takes a bit for me to be affected by a choppy sea... it was quite amusing in Jamaica watching this group turn up for the boat trip hungover from the night before, took about 10 minutes before the buckets came out... and that was in the bay kust having heaving anchor Either way I'm sure Mr 350 Russ will have a great time, but be prepared to have a few games of chav spotting
  18. Oh and yes, if you check the weather it will always show storms... they usually have a short one everyday, amazing to watch as NeilP says
  19. Interesting, off there next week to Bavaro. I went to puerto Plata 3 or so years ago and loved it, going to a different area and resort as i'm going with a different lady as it wouldn't go down too well to go back to the same one I loved it last time and the advice others have given is spot on, i'm taking a small amount of local currency as it can be usfeul off complex but yes USD is a must. Oh and dont forget your inbound and exit tax, roughly $10USD in and $20USD out per person. We plan on doing the trip to an island (not paradise) and I cant remember what its called as well as the usual catamaran/snorkelling/boozing trip. Other than that forget work and enjoy
  20. A kuro (i think); I was the Azure Roadster coming from the M6 northbound joining M62 east bound, was taking it easy, I see you wasnt
  21. Thanks Pete, I may drop by them and see what they say. I feel they will suggest I get the whole wheel done, the bubbling on all 4 isn't obvious unless you're looking for it but the scuff on the front is. I'm guessing they would also need them a few days too. I had the same issue on my old Celica which most owners did and I ended up buying replacement OZ's.... i really dont want to go down that route though I'm glad your "failure" cost you nothing except a couple of quid in petrol.
  22. Hi Pete, Sorry this is slightly offtopic and if you've posted this elsewhere but where did you get your wheels refurbed and approximate cost? My Ray's are little scruffy after I parked a bit too close to a high kerb and I've noticed some "bubbling" on the inside of a couple of spokes recently Thanks Andy
  23. Thanks for the information so far.... The people martin suggested look good but I was hoping I'd find someone more local to me. If i can't find anywhere (with good feedback) local I may have to have a day trip to Walsall but as with all things my spare time is so little these days. I'll do some research and contact a bodyshop i've used in the past to see if they know anyone locally with a good reputation but keep the suggestions coming folks it's very much appreciated. I think it will be easily repairable and to be honest I'm not too bothered with regards to cost (within reason) I just want it done properly. It's very difficult to see and I only noticed when i was putting the roof up while chatting to my passenger and happened to notice a small slither of daylight where there shouldnt be any. And I will provide feedback. Cheers Andy
