  1. I'm planning a more rounded ball top design that i shall be having a go at soon, will let you know how it goes! No problem chap, I might try a Greddy knob in the meantime.
  2. I'm missing mine, badly. The week before Christmas upto Boxing day, she wasn't driven. We had quite alot of snow so I got a lift to work instead of risking getting stuck and risking someone else pranging into my pride and joy. I used three quarters of a tank in two thawed out dry days over the Christmas holiday just getting reacquainted. It's snowed again, I've not driven her for 4 or 5 days now.
  3. After doing a little more research on the subject, the one I'm angling for is the ARC Titan. http://www.neweraparts.com/desktopmodul ... =-1&mid=-1 Just not in that colour!
  4. Do you think you could design a ball gearknob? Just a standard ball... I've got a Nismo gearknob at the minute and I can't help but feel that my shifts would be cleaner and more comfortable with just a simple ball,
  5. I'm near Melton Mowbray. I have a good parcel company I use with work so I'll get a quote from them tomorrow (I'm off ill, man flu). Could you PM me the address they would pick it up from? Well, I need a house number and postcode, that's all really. Any chance you could give me a rough estimate of weight in KG ish? If you don't mind wrapping it, that'd be great chap, many thanks.
  6. Good man! Have you got a price in mind for delivery? I'm in the East Midlands. (I can PM address if you need). Failing that I have a company which can pick it up for me, I can send down some material to wrap it with if you wouldn't mind wrapping it.
  7. Is the standard backbox still available? Is the join ok to the flange? Mine has a big weakness there (blowing again!!!)
  8. I'm on RE050 on the rear and RE050a on the front. I dread to think what 350's are like on RE040's in those slippery situations.
  9. The traction control will keep you out of trouble I would have thought. When you've had the car a few weeks, on a deserted wet roundabout, whilst going slowly, just jab the throttle in 2nd and you'll see what happens. Oh and +1 on the petrol station comment. I nipped out in front of a train of cars the other day, waited til the car was straight to start with some throttle, wheel spin, ok, 2nd, wheelspin, crikey, 3rd, wheelspin All progressive throttling, circa 3,000rpm. It seemed as my car gained about 400bhp just filling up.
  10. That colour on a TVR On a Supra Roof scoop Odd 'badboy' 106 bonnet, but somehow, on the bootlid Non-turbo
  11. Your missing the point. These loans are not usually for a pair of Moschino jeans or Evisu handbags, they are usually taken out to be able to put food on the table, buy your kid the bike they want for xmas or to pay the rent or face eviction! +2 The 23and million& APR doesn't look like a great lending rate, but it's because the loan is over such a small amount of time on such a small amount of money. On a side note of people wanting to get you into dept, I rang my bank to pay a little of my credit card bill. A total of £617.00 (car insurance) which I whacked on an interest free credit card, I'd pay £200 off a month, saves me paying monthly to Mr. Insurer. I spoke to a Natwest man on the phone about paying off £200 of it, he said "But sir your minium payment is only £13 (ish), you still have £980 to spend today". Nice to see Natwest concerned about the young'uns getting into debt.
  12. Aww they look alright! www.astra-and-action.co.uk Although I have to be slightly biased. I think it's quite handome with big wheels in a subtle colour.

    heel+toe

I now don't really have a problem with heel and toe in the 350. I used to do in my old Celica and it take a short while to adjust my technique to the 350. I've only got baby size 7 feet and find it easiest to do it wearing these - http://rallynuts.com/motorsport/SPARCO_ ... s_4559.asp I can't stand doing it in boots or 'fashion' footwear. It feels clunky and I can't really feel the pedals that well. I don't do it with the side of my foot, my ankle just pivots from level with the brake pedal to prodding the go faster pedal. Dexterity FTW! I learnt (I think) from just holding the car on the brake and just 'feeling' the throttle with my heel whilst stationary. I also think it's easier to do at speed, although there being a slight safety issue. As long as you can quickly work the clutch and get the gear in quickly, whilst heel and toeing, you're sorted. And don't think about it too much whilst doing it, it'll make it a 'do this, then do that, then that' process, whereas, they all kind of overlap each other in a fluid motion.
  14. I'd love to do the same for the future house. I think I'd scour ebay. The only tricky thing, I'd quite like a 'famous' engine. Like a Rover 3.5 V8, or an RB26 or something along those lines. Just something where the block is quite interesting too.
  15. I think they look alright as standard.... In all fairness, in that little chop, I've moved the rear wheels out a little (badly) and removed the front badge. She's now got some Z badges instead of the normal burger. I think she's pretty
  16. I have one of these (minus the chrome pipe), it sounds mental when on full chat. It makes a lovely noise at 2,800rpm and a beautiful noise at anything over 4,000rpm (5,600rpm+ is truley awesome). Any other rpm's and it sounds just normal. Someone get this bought
  17. You learn something new everyday, I didn't realise that Convertible seats were different to Coupe jobs!

    Kuro?

Hope this isn't a repost. I wikipedia'd this the other day. Kuro means black in Japanese. So I have a 350z in black black. Nice work Nissan.
  19. I don''t really want to get rid of the Z, so I bloody won't. I've had her for nearly a year now, and I'm still deeply in love. It just ticks every box I need it to! It sounds mental, it shifts when you want it to, it looks gorgeous and above all, makes me smile! It's technically twice as practical as I need, I'm "in between girlfriends" (i.e. single) at the moment, the passenger seat/footwell easily fits my lunchbox and coat in it. I'm really not sure what's next, we'll see what I need from a car come 'new wheels time'. That's assuming I do for some reason get rid of the Z. If I was going for performance, I have a shortlist. TVR T350 Coupe Nissan Skyline R34 GTR (can't stand R32 and R33 interiors) 996 GT3 For a family orientated ride. Nissan Skyline R34 GTR (it's a 2+2 so it's practical in my book) 535d I quite like CLS' too. But then again, I'm 23 so we'll see!
  20. Vauxhall won't be doing any more of these. They have no plans to get any more. The HSV Clubsport R8 has been out for quite a while in Australia, nearly time for them to have a new model, we'll maybe have those in a few years. About a month and a half ago Vauxhall had circa 120 sat at their holding compound and at various dealers. The deal took off and after two weeks, all the manuals were gone (that's the cheapest one, auto is a £1,395 option). Now we're struggling to get hold of any auto's. We've (my dealership) have got the last one we can get our hands on. It's a Bathurst in Red Hot (not a Bathurst S). We were selling manual VXR8's for £22,888. When they'd all gone, Vauxhall gave us a bit more money off the auto's and we were able to do those for £22,500. A hell of a lot of car for the money, I was highly tempted when the deal first came out but I decided against it. A VXR8 just isn't me, far too practical, and IMO, it's not a looker like the 350 is. It seems to me that it's one of those cars that's fast, and that's it. It doesn't make me go weak at the knees. With the 350, you don't have to be going fast for her to put a smile on your face. Stick with your 350's people!
  21. She's absolutely beautiful dude! Maybe one day I'll get to answer the question "What do you drive?" with "Oh, I've got an Aston Martin". Possibly the coolest phrase in the world! Top work mate!
  22. Has anyone done a version which are wired to the side/headlight indicators so that they work in time with those? I think that'd look quite smart.
