  1. Bloody trial and error! Oh, and some swearing. Let me annotate a picture as I can't find a guide - give me 5. Edit - Pic! The bits circled in red I took off first. The bits in green I 'levered' away so I could remove the silver bit. The green bit, it's the same the other side. It's got quite an odd clip system but if you inspect whilst seeing what's clipped to what, you'll understand. P.S - You may have noticed that I am highly skilled in MS Paint - and I'm fully booked up for freelance work, sorry.
  2. You sure it's in the boot? There's a few things that can squeak.... My silver bit also squeaked when I pushed down on it, but it wasn't the squeak I was after. I whipped it off (in winter, sat in boot, freezing my nads off, in the dark, with a maglite in my mouth) and stuffed some rags under it. Did the trick for me. There's a plastic locating pin that's quite long directly on the back of the 'Z', this can rub on the metal hole that it goes through. Hope this helps
  3. if the first add is genuine then 250 bin price is pretty good, seems very illiterate though +1. I've asked the question in vain hope of getting an answer I can read without squinting.
  4. Apparently they're 19's. Although he's worded it to sound like you're buying the set but with a BIN price of £250, I doubt you'll get 4 through the post. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/nissan-350-z- ... 743wt_1139 And I just enjoyed the price, although I've not see this advert before. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350z-r ... 500wt_1156
  5. It essentially does the same thing as a D1 Throttle Controller, apart from it costs more and AFAIK, you can't change the settings like you can with the D1 unit.
  6. Can we add things that have broken/that you've replaced? And in the service section, can we have text box which you can fill in exactly what was replaced? One last thing on my mods was HKS SPF, just coming up as SPF though.
  7. I like your gearknob chap, where did you find that?
  8. This looks pretty interesting - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OBD2-Nissan-F ... 994wt_1139 I tried a few searches but couldn't find anything, apologies if it's been discussed at length before.

    An Apology

The only consolation is that they'll change 'how it drives' in the UK. Suspension and steering are usually quite different as UK drivers prefer 'more feel' I'm told. I can't help about the rest though
  10. Well I managed it well with just that bottle but I was under the impression, to get the best snow foam, you need to be using a pressure washer. There's a difference between the bottle I've got and some videos on Youtube!
  11. They'll also do a deal if you buy the bootmat from them in one sitting.
  12. Phil, your problem makes sense, that's not an Alex thing, that's a D1 Throttle Controller thing. I have a V1 controller, and it did that. I didn't get it from Alex. And Alex is spot on, people do fit the plug upside down (I did ), it's very easily done. I had to figure that one out for myself as I was one of the first with a D1 Throttle Controller. I'd say the fitment of one of the plugs is "Ok, but not as secure as I'd like", mines been on for a year or so, it's fine mate. It's not ideal mate, and the fitment should be better, but it's not, but it's fine, don't worry about it.
  13. Tis good My favourite is 3rd to 4th.
  14. Bought these a few weeks ago. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-a ... d_335.html http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-a ... d_370.html Cracking. I've not got a pressure washer and the first link is very good. Not quite as good as an actual pressure washer and foam lance but it's a bloody good alternative, and pretty cheap too. Well recommended. There's no destructions with the bottle but 5 mins faffing with it and you'll have the knack.

    Squeak

Mate, I feel your pain. I replaced my ARB drop links, the ones that came off (at 50k miles ish) were as good as the new ones that went on. I had axial movement, i.e. I could twist it pretty easily, but that's all, no other type of movement. Mine were all nice and smooth with a little resistance (like they've got lube inside etc) rather than just moving axially like it was dry inside. ZMANALEX did suggest to me to undo one side so they're disconnected and go for a little spin around the block, if there's no noise, then that'll be the problem. This is a sound piece of advice. You could try some spray grease on some bushes at the rear to see if that might be it. I found which bush squeaked on the front of mine that way. Doing one 'set' at a time for example, little drive, still squeak, spray other bushes etc. If you need, I can take a pic of the bit of metal that was causing me headaches?
  16. Sod it, that's the US one, on the Europe one, they don't mention them. http://www.globaldenso.com/cgi-bin/glob ... xt&no=4043 Tits.
  17. Be carefull with these mate as I was advised by Denso Technical that these were not suitable for the 350Z and to stick with Denso Iridium. I can't remember what the issue was, however I will look back my notes when I have a minute. Alex. @*!# bags Edit - Linky to Denso site - http://www.globaldenso.com/cgi-bin/glob ... t&no=30696 Right at the bottom "PKH16TT" - that's the TwinTip Plug part number.
  18. Bumpage - Just bought a set of the Denso Twin Tips, thought I'd try them out. Very helpful guy from carsparkplugs.com ordered some in for me from the US after every other spark plug website said "No, sorry son". http://www.carsparkplugs.com/csp/view-p ... uctid=2814 I also loved the price - £3.30 each inc.VAT
  19. I do love a knob thread But seriously, I was quite happy with my knob until I saw this thread, I'm tempted to fill in the Nismo writing on my knob now. Top knob modding.
  20. But I've only got a 350z I'll try it now
  21. Mull, You do not require to replace the gear box and diff washers. They are just flat washers and not crush washers and are reusable. However the crush washer on the engine sump plug should be replaced every time, without fail. Alex. This man speaks utter sense! One note though, £14?!? I've got two on an old invoice @ £2 odd each. They are just 'washers', nothing special.
  22. Good find! Didn't know that existed
  23. I should be able to update with part numbers for the compression arm bushes (banana bar) when they come from the US next week. Found it and updated
