  1. My mate used to have one of these, he loved it. He did admit that there wasn't a great deal of difference in sound between his Epiphone and his Gibson Les Paul Standard. Good price too
  2. I was in the exact situation you were in chap. CS whipped me a Scorpion over, and I'm very happy with it. Fitting issues were incredibly minimal, CS put my mind to rest with the fact it's a tried and tested exhaust for the 350. Mine needed the smallest of smallest adjustments on one hangar and she fits absolutely perfectly. It's got a nice noise when tickling the go faster pedal but isn't chav loud. The kind of noise that if it drove by you, you'd say "cheeky" and lift an eyebrow. I've kept the old one which I'll get welded up nicely, which will then go back at re-sale time.
  3. I love it! I drove her home, and for bedtime reading that night, I read the manual.
  4. I don't think Coops means to do that. I think it's more of a case of not enough hours in the day for him to do what he wants to do somemtimes with work etc. Plus if you wanted to do the stuff he wants to do, you need to see if there is interest. He'll get it done, just when he's got time.
  5. Did you ever get round to looking at making a ball gearknob?
  6. Doesn't seem too bad on face value! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350z-19-Ra ... 500wt_1182
  7. It's not that bad, no-one has mentioned blu-tack yet!
  8. Give it another go with sticky pads. I'd heat up the plate nicely, stick pads to plate. I'd use a few pads, like 6 so overall, you've got at least a fair bit of contact area. Remove mesh, heat up mesh (make sure it's clean), stick plate to mesh. Refit mesh. In my head, that'd work.
  9. You fool. If you got the coupled pair, your figures wouldn't look so pathetic. Why install something if you're not going all the way? i couldnt handle any more power than that couldn't afford 2 anyway Pfft, you big girl. I was going to get 6, one for each cylinder. Maybe an extra 2 for each exhaust exit, but invert it so it pulls the gas out quicker. I rang my insurance company to see how much they'd charge me to change my policy with those modifications and they said I had to have an F1 Super Licence otherwise they wouldn't cover me. Oh well.
  10. That's certainly an odd one chap! Fingers crossed all goes well with the new one
  11. I think one of mine clips in nicely, but the other plug goes in both ways, and doesn't 'clip' in either. It sits in and for me connects if it's one plug is upsidedown or not. It's secure but it doesn't clip in. Will it 'go in', feels 'connected' but doesn't properly clip in?
  12. The OBD side of things is probably fine. You might have the connectors between "car" and controller plugged in the wrong way round. They're in the right socket, but try plugging it in upside down if you know what I mean. If you've made this error, it's quite easy to do (I've never made this error... ) as to me, both ways in which the plug plugged in looked right. One worked, one didn't. I can only assume you'll get a EML light after this, do an ECU reset sequence (use a stopwatch) and job is a gooden! Hope this works dude.
  13. Right, this needs a bump. Any joy on this Coops?
  14. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 9,,0,16.53 Here's mine outside work. Bless her.
  15. How much would 2x 225/45/18 and 245/45/18 set me back? I don't need to buy right away, it's just I'd like to know if it's worth going part worn with you or new with Camskill in the near future.
  16. http://www.alloygator.co.uk/ I rule
  17. Give her a few weeks in summer and I'm sure you'll be hooked chap. I can't remember that last time I just 'went for a drive' as the weather is so crap, it's pointless. But I look back remembering scorching hot dry roads last summer, I really really had a blast.

    Standard Rays

Right ho chaps, for a start, I'm in no real rush as I already have some wheels and tyres on my car. Fairly soon in the next few months I'll be investing in some new tyres, whilst I'm there, I'll refurb my wheels. However, it would be much nicer if I could have a set of Rays ready for said tyres to go on. Then I have new tyres with mint wheels, just what we need for summer. So I'm after a set of Rays. It might be a bit of an ask but I'm either looking for a set which are un-marked or a set which are kerbed which will need doing. I'll be able to get a set refurbished pretty cheaply through work so if they're cheap and kerbed, I'm happy. I'm looking at paying ideally around £250. They need to be straight, no buckles etc. Oh and I don't need tyres either. I'm quite happy to wait for a few weeks whilst your new wheels arrive etc, I'm easy going. I doubt I'll be able to pick them up, I only have a 350z to transport them in! But through work I have a good courier who will pick them up so shipping is no real issue. Thanks
  19. I'm up for either! Flip or non-flip, great idea! I don't mean to cause offence but will it be tasteful? I can't help but think a carbon key might look a little 'eBay'.
  20. I've parked at my local Tesco once or twice nose in to a kerb. If I'd gone any further forward, I would have scraped that lower plastic shroud under the front lip. And that was on a fairly small to normal size kerb, don't risk it chaps.
  21. been looking at that kit too... want to take the plunge? You first?
  22. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-STROKER-KI ... 3ca67b3e03 Whilst the LS2 sounds promising, weight distribution is something to think about. I'd prefer to go down the stroker route rather than FI. Whilst the costs might be similar, NA would be more rewarding for me.
  23. Certainly makes for interesting reading. Although there are a fair few cars which have failed because of "drivers view of the road". I feel this is a slight injustice to the car because the owner didn't action a stone chip on the windscreen.
