  1. Black So it's American, a coupe....
  2. At least you got a quote. When I got the skyline and was listing the mods we got to the boost controller.... "What's that?" the guy asks... "It regulates the turbo" I tell him. This confuses him even more... "Turbo? What's a turbo...?" "Your working for a car insurance company and you don't know what a turbo is?" "Sir I can't find turbo or boost controller in my options" We went round in circles for ages for him to say he couldn't insure the car
  3. Give us another clue. Either which country it's from or what year or something
  4. I've also been in touch with him for a retrim on my skyline wheel. Came with a crappy 4 spoke one and wanted something that looks and feels better. Not keen on aftermarket wheels so picked up an r32 wheel for a tenner! Just deciding on the finish now
  5. Do it Neil.... 2 zeds is pimp I know your already pretty pimp but this would be the icing on the cake Lovely car
  6. Good results for round 1. Have you stopped stroking the smooth paint yet?
  7. Only had the skyline a couple of years now lol so time to update the sig. I've been using the mobile version of this site for ages so haven't seen it but now I'm using the full site and it needs freshened up Who's up for making me one? Looking for both cars in it apart from that you've got a blank canvas so let's see some ideas. Here's some threads with pics of both cars The zed: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/39153-mini-photoshoot/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/50327-my-farewell-photoshoot/ Skyline: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/77955-which-photo-for-the-calendar/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/76605-skyline-minishoot-at-forth-bridge/
  8. A lot of interesting points in this thread. But the most important point I have a disagree with.... Neil- I can't agree that we can learn a lot from George. I've seen what he does with a bag if tomatoes I've voted against an independent Scotland as I think there are far too many uncertainties and the politicians aren't clearing them up I think even if the oil resources were infinite there is no certainty how much revenue would stay in Scotland
  9. A manual in the states? I thought you guys didn't know how to drive manuals Welcome along, from Glasgow
  10. Happy birthday rich have a good one
  11. I had this problem. An independent audio shop found a faulty component inside the amp Once that was sorted no more problems
  12. Thanks mate I used purple haze as recommended by members on here. Gave great water repellency but not that glossy. So alternated between that and megs tech wax which is very glossy. On major details I used both together
  13. Iv been detailing for a few years now and my regime is still pretty simple I use 1 bucket to wash but hose the grit off with finger pressure before going back in the bucket. More effective than 2 buckets imo Megs clay, AG super resin polish, then alternate between dodo juice purple haze and megs tech wax. A quickdetailer after washes as a drying agent. It was machine polished by the bodyshop around 2 months after buying it. Here's the results before selling it 4 years later I will add snowfoam and probably a DA polisher to my collection this year
  14. As the guys have mentioned above keep it simple to start with then once one product finishes decide whether you want to try something else or get it again Personally I use products from megs, auto glym and dodo juice
  15. I use a quick detailer as a drying agent- adds to the shine left by wax and removes water marks But for folk who don't have the time and patience for a full detail quick detailers are cheap and cheerful. A lot of them are marketed to these people- instant shine with no effort Is supernatural a detailing spray?
  16. I think it would work the same way as quick detailers do. Great between waxes and as a drying agent Never used one without at least 2 coats of wax so couldn't comment on how long they last but they do work well in windows
  17. Even if there was a ban I'd rather leave the car dirty than massage the grit into the paint
  18. Yea I used to kick neils teeth in all the time but we've patched it up now. He still hasn't made that appointment to fix them though
  19. There's no question it will lift the dirt off your car but to get it off you will be rubbing the grit into the paintwork and adding to the swirl effect. Wouldnt touch it with a bargepole I'd rather go to a hand car wash than use a waterless system. And Iv not used a car wash in years
  20. It's always people from new Zealand commenting on that bridge on car forums Yea as Neil says one of scotlands famous landmarks and makes for great photos
  21. Lol yea suppose plus there was a lot of work getting done so it wouldve been a lower rate Forgot about that
