Hi guys Im hoping someone can help me out / point me in the right direction. Basically i need to reprogramme my key to my car, however, ive tried the sequence over and over, ive looked on the net (and here) and ive tried everything to get this to work. Im now at the point (months down the line) where i literally cant stand to try any longer. Its clear im not going to get it to work for me or any of my mates who are handy with cars. Ive had the car in three seperate local garages who have all failed to programme my key. My car is now up for sale and i really would like this solved as i cant expect to sell my car when the alarm goes off everytime i unlock it. Do i have to go to nissan? A informal chat to a guy who works there said i will probably have to pay a silly amount for them to look at it. Could there be any other issues with the car that im not aware of that may be preventing me from reprogramming my key? Please please help because im literally at a loss

Alright guys Thinking of taking the z to the italian gp next month. According to google its approx 1000 mile journey. Any of you have any experience of driving through france / italy? Any advice? Also, and i dont want to sound boring, but what can i expect the damage to be fuel wise? Does the z get decent figures? Needless to say im very excited about the possibility of my trip!

Hi guys Had a starting issue with my car and the error code po345 - crankshaft, has been identified. Is this a big / expensive job?

ah - i feel a little foolsih now. I did have the door open at the time which i normally would do so i suppose thats why i noticed it just then. So tomorrow i shall look at the battery, maybe give it a full charge? and do the pedal dance? would that clear the lights initially? then if there is something wrong with a sensor id imagine they will come back on? again, i apologise if these all seem like obvious questions but im not great at this stuff and my 350 has been pretty much bullet proof so ive not had to learn

Just to add, i went back out and started the car up from cold and it did the exact same, seemed to struggle but then fired up but there was a slight noise that ive never heard before, the noise disappears when i dip the clutch and returned when i lifted the clutch. I did this several times and each time the noise would disappear and then come back. Its a hard noise to describe. its not a rattle or anything like that and its not loud but it is noticeable.... im scared!

my zed is on a 54 plate so is pretty old. Sure ive seen somewhere amongst the piles of receipts that I have with the car that its had a new battery but I couldnt really say for certain when. I havent noticed the lights to be honest mate,

ah ok. Assuming my car starts in 12 hours time I will get it home and plugged into our battery reader at home and give it a full charge whilst i hunt out a battery for her

i dont know if this has anything to do with it but ive been using the z for daily driving for the last 2-3 months. my journey to work is only around 8-9 miles (some motorways) could this be draining the battery quick and therfore chucking up the issues ive mentioned? The slow starting etc?

Well its funny you mention the battery mate, i noticed something the other day when i started the car i already had the wipers turned on and when i turned the ignition on the wipers seemed very sluggish compared to normal. the volt meter seems to read ok but is that a reliable read out? if its anything like the fuel gauge then i guess not!
