  1. BMW 850 for a paint correction detail, and internal hoover, leather cleanse and condition. Should be 2 days work..or so I thought. Lives outside and needs a very BIG tidy up. It starts Washed as per usual with Espuma Revolution, Envy Brushes, Bubbly Jubbly and Dodo Sour Power etc. Dried, then clayed with gentle grey Paint readings were all over the place. The only bit with "expected" readings was the sunroof....oh no.. New foam pad to try...from Hungary Some correction under way now.. Lots of swirls, that hid lots of RDS's. Sticky paint, weird paint to polish. Every panel needed different products and very stressful. 1 pass on the rear spoiler for a rough 50/50 All in all I spent approx 24hrs machine polishing this car! When I was finished you could say I was relieved. Not a 100% correction, but certainly in the high 90's. Paint was cleansed with Lime prime lite, then sealed with Swissvax Saphir. Tyres, glass etc all done. Interior Swissvax'd mainly. 3 days to get to this: Thanks for looking Tim
  2. Prices are on my site Scott:) You are not far away so no travel costs either....plus can bring you a bottle of wheel cleaner
  3. or maybe even 3 cars One country at a time Ian I'll have to dig out my passport & have more injections to make the trip over Be happy to make a round trip guys........
  4. Nice new Clio to do by Envy Valeting instead of the Supagard treatment Looks clean already..oh maybe not. Wheels washed 1st with Espuma Revolution and Envy brushes, followed by a foaming. Shampoo'd with a Z sponge, 2 buckets and Dodo Juice sour power. Dried to look like Clayed with Gentle grey dodo, and cleansed with lime prime via the PC to look like Sealed Tyres, glass, tail pipes etc done to look like Being a new car/new client I like to go the extra mile A nice days work, hot off the press today. Tim
  5. I have done this car 3 times now. The 1st time was a full correction in Jan 2009, and although the paint is nice to machine and I could guarantee it 100% mark free, it is sooo easy to mark even with the softest, brand new cloth. Cos of this I get the "honour" of being the only 1 brave enough to wash it. Did this last week as a top up wash, wax and interior detail. Waxed with Crystal Rock. Enjoy the pics. Washing Dried Cleansed and waxed etc
  6. I'd be delighted to help Send me an email at info@envyvaleting.co.uk and let me know what you have and what you want
  7. Thanks Wayne, he did call but I was on a mammoth detailing from hell week and no one else was around to dispatch it for me so it'd not have got there in time
  8. Thanks very much everyone. Supernatural is an excellent wax for most colours and especially blue:)
  9. Cheers Stew There is nothing wrong with the Crystal Hard one, apart from the name
  10. Todays job was a straightforward protection (not correction) detail on a "few" weeks old Lotus Evora. Bought new, and Supagarded at the time but the owner was blown away by his S2000 I detailed a week or so ago (prior to being sold.) Apparently the S2000 looked better than the brand new Lotus So, it had to be given the full new car treatment by me and today was that day A minus 1 degree start today, usual wash process and it was very cold water in the buckets! Once dried it was out with the Dodo gentle grey (lot of tar again!) and then the Lime Prime lite via the PC. Wax time.... Curing Whilst the wax cured I set about dressing the tyres, cleaning external glass, tail pipes, hoovered the interior. Leather was wiped over then sealed with Swissvax Leather glaze (as I do on all new car details), carpets scotchguarded etc. Enjoy the afters Thanks for looking Tim
  11. A 2 day, 18hr detail this baby..... LSP is the Crystal one..... Thanks for looking Tim
  12. Up http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=128&t=33828 there lol
  13. PICS PICS PICS PICS......come on Martin
  14. Excellent, glad its all arrived. Happy to advise mate and glad you are pleased..just remember the oil
  15. Oh, thats a bugger. I was expecting you to get "the other bit" 1st OK the bit you have so far wind the black screw top all the way in clock wise, and you will get the thickest foam. Adjust the spread with the black part on the LHSide. If you twiddle whilst looking you will see it opens and closes wider or narrower. On the wide setting you can do 2 cars side by side, on the narrower one you can clean your own car LOL:)
  16. Last job from a busy week Today is a day off YEEHA! A Dodo Juice detail I'm pleased to say. No wash pics but the usual process. Clayed with Dodo Gentle grey, then paint cleansed via PC with Lime Prime lite. Wax for the day will be Supernatural (sat on a wax applicator before anyone says anything:)) Left on for approx 1hr whilst I did glass, tryes etc. All done, love it. Thanks for looking, I'm off for a lie down Tim
  17. Cheers Stew LOL, my feet are firmly on the ground Had it suggested to me once by Dodo that I should make a wax which I liked the idea of but couldnt see why anyone would want a wax associated with me but who knows! Worse still would be trying to think up a catchy name. If I was going to do it with anyone though it would be The Dodo. Top boys and hearts in the right place.
  18. The Aston Martin took up a lot of my time this week and was slotted around http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... p?t=157907 Porsche Sunday, Bentley Monday then started the Aston midday. Aston Tuesday and Weds (full days of machine polishing), Thurs Aston completed and Brera wash job. Anywhere, here is the Aston Martin Vanquish detail. A full paint correction detail and interior as well. Wheels cleaned with my staple Espuma Revolution and Envy brushes, insides done with EZdetail. Bubbly Jubbly snow foam Rinsed, then washed with Espuma Astro, TBM and the Z sponge. Dried off to look a lot better already. Unless you looked in direct sunlight, but thats the reason job:buffer: oh oh oh.... Ready to clay, looks good at a distance. Clayed with Dodo gentle grey, uppers pretty clean. Lowers, well, as you'd expect. Day 2: Beginning to work out what polish and pad combo to use. Thanks to Auto-Detox and JamesB for suggestions. Also had a read of Gleamingkleen's DW posts and tried a lot of combinations. Day 3: De-dusting/IPA etc at the end of day 3. I have never been so happy to pack the rotary away. Ready for bed... Left the car overnight with a nice layer of Swissvax Crystal Rock curing. Day 4: Interior hoovered out, leather cleansed and nourished with Swissvax products. Wax was then buffed off (easy as you like), tyres dressed with Espuma RD50, glass with Espuma green glass, exhaust buffed with Autosol and wire wool, shiny bits cleaned with cleaner fluid. Enjoy the after pics. 3 full days work. My favorite: Thanks for looking. Tim
  19. Well, a rare old beast has been taking up my time this week. Its a 1949 Ferrari 166, one of Ferrari's 1st ever road cars and its look may not appeal to all! Foamed at low pressure and low concentration Rinsed and washed with Espuma Astro. Clayed with Dodo gentle grey, not a lot came off and the paint was very smooth already. PTG readings taken ready to machine and defects photographed. The previous owner either dried with a blade or had a gritty car cover. Bad swirls but a LOT of RDS's which were to take a lot of chasing out as you'll see! Not 100% correction but certainly much better. The heart of the car is a 2.0l V12, small but perfectly formed. The differance between this cars engine and the race version was the race cars ran 3 carbs (instead of 1 here) and had higher compression. 2 days later and 15.5hrs of machining took us to this stage now. Wax time, allow me to introduce Chemical Guys E-zyme. I got this from David at Car wash n wax and it smells amazing. 1st time I've used it. Very easy to apply, and easy to apply too much. Only needs a really thin layer to be effective. On a panel at a time and buffed after a few mins. David said on for as long or short as you want, it wont cause any trouble. I opted for the shorter time as time was getting on. Based upon the wax's performance its one to keep:) To follow hopefully the wheels and tyres, polishing all metal work, interior etc. Time spent so far 20.5hrs Hope you like it. Tim ps if anyone can advise on a product to buff/fill marks in perspex I'd welcome suggestions
  20. ^Dependant on condition, around the £350 mark for most cases. Barn finds are more lol
  21. Good evening, not posted up much lately as been keeping my head down and working on cars like this one A full detail inside and out plus paint correction. Products used as follows: Espuma Revolution and Envy Brushes, G202, Bubbly Jubbly ssf, Espuma Astro shampoo, Dri U Kwik towel, Dodo Juice gentle grey clay, 3m polishes, Dodo juice lime prime lite, Crystal Rock, Leather milk and conditioner, Espuma Dasheen, Espuma Glass green. RD50 tyre dressing, Autosol etc etc. Best wishes Tim
  22. I use LIme prime and lime prime lite day in/day out and they both offer excellent value for money imho. Compare the equivalent Swissvax or Zymol product and you're looking at double the price. Autoglym have some good stuff, but not a lot has been added to the range in the last 10 years or so, compared to other brands. Yes the probably are market leaders, but that in no part is prob due to the fact its all you can get easily in Halfords!! If you do want the Dodo products I do have a BIG range in my shop at www.envyvaleting.co.uk/products.asp and am happy to answer any questions on the range. Best wishes Tim
  23. Patience, a lot of effort, then a bit more patience. Did an evo 8's wheels only this year and took 6hrs just to clean 4 wheels. They were fooked but got there in the end. I must say I was glad to see the back of them! It will probably require many applications and leave it on to soak for a good preiod of time, but dont be tempted to use neat products etc. Keep cleaning and re-applying. Tim
  24. Wow, thats a coincidence! Just did a top up on this today. Its still huge!
